I would like to relive this era as an adult whereas I was only a kid back then.

To me, 1985 was the peak, specifically Live Aid. A few good things happened in '86 - '88, but most of what I really loved was early 80s. I still love a lot of synthpop and power ballads like this, but my favorite thing was the way punk evolved into what they called "New Wave". Either way, this is a great song, and so was "Wonder if I Take You Home".
When this came out, as a kid, this was my favorite song because of the piano opening and the emotion they put into singing the song. As an adult, diving into the lyrics, made me realize I don't want to make a woman feel like this....
