My favorite garage conversion ever... What do you think?
It would be hard to do any better without adding onto the garage. The live room is really cool.
I am hoping to start building my own garage home studio in the near future and I have to say, I love the iron rails for hanging acoustic panels or curtains = adjustability/flexibility! Andrew, these videos are awesome because it is giving me some great ideas for things to consider and gear to buy when the time comes.
Such a beauty!!
It's pretty good, but Mine is better! Seriously! I wish I had the time and inclination to make a video of it, but I'm too busy recording music
This place is so PROFESSIONAL!!
It's really cool, thanks gg!
There´s nothing better than waking up on a boring monday and remember that you post this videos on monday :))))
What an amazing and creative conversion! Just beautiful, thanks for the vid.
I thought my basement home studio setup was adequate before watching these videos. Now I'm looking into zoning and building permits to add another structure in my yard.. Damnit lol.. Thanks man.
Ignorance is bliss :)
Nice one! Way more personal and relatable stuff then the super duper high end studios. I love that he mixes on an old soundcraft console.
Ah man.... This was just SO well done! The space looks capable of doing anything I would need it for, it looks comfy as hell and like an inspiring place to make music! Great work
DAMN!! This turned out so good! What an epic setup!!
Andrew, I really like this studio a cool set of preamps and the Soundcraft Ghost console which I own as well it's just classic. Awesome studio tour as always Thanks!!!
Cool. Very professional and beautiful studio.
What a beautiful space. Cool guy talk is always welcome, too.
Great Job man! Great use of space.
yes, of course we want to see your studio upgrade.
Brilliant studio tour again. Thanks for the upload 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it
The modular railsystem sounds interesting. Need to consider that idea for my future studio 🤔
the rails really are a super cool idea. you could even make the panels reversible, to have one side semi-reflective
Just loving the console and patchbays
Oooo I love that rail system for panels. Makes a lot of sense!
Dope studio! I’m building our my garage as well, more of. Postproduction,, cinema , film scoring feel though.. really enjoyed your gear and thought that went into the details
I was just longing for a Soundcraft Ghost boards yesterday. Loved those boards back in the day. Really wan to find one!
Will Jump on this, i could have the opportunity of snagging one at a very very reasonable deal here in my area. I'm in the need of a good number of decent pres and eqs for tracking (mainly drums), and a mixing board can be and affordable solution (i sometimes work with up to 12 mics simultaneously). Could the Ghost be an adequate tool for tracking?
This channel rules. Great work!
Yes, dude, I'd love to see you do a setup with your studio!
Sweetwater is so cool. Nothing but great purchase experiences with them.
Dude that is an amazing spot!!!!
This is such a nice studio. They did a great job
Man you keep out doing yourself, This is becoming my Favorite TH-cam Channel, Cant wait for the next Video... Would love for you to see my little Home Recording Studio...
I appreciate that!
Would love to see any changes you make to the studio...Especially involving the dangerfox
Alright sweet!
I have watched all Andrew's studio tours, and this one feels closest to my ideal setup. About to embark on a studio build next year - I'll be referencing this studio for inspiration. Thanks for sharing!
What a nice guy. Great studio too.
Awesome content!
That's some sweet place. Love it a lot!
It really is!
I have a soundcraft ghost to and i love it.
amazing!
I love the rails system for the panels!
Amazing idea
This is a great space!
Daking and 312a's, 2 of my fave mic amps! Great choice :D
this is awesome sir!
I want to just run downstairs, pull the cars out the garage and get some insulation xD The vibe of this studio is top notch
man I love all you video .god bless
Thanks!
nice studio!
this design on the panels kinda looks like mic stands. normally i dont like designed panels but this one is so cool
Crazy to see how far you got, Sweetwater sponsor? Damn! Keep up with the amazing content, bro!
Love these vids!
Glad you like them!
Wow, what an amazing studio! I would like to know which (type of) carpet that is in the main room. I really like it a lot.
He passed over the coolest piece of gear in the rack.the Altec!!!
Outstanding conversion! Very professional , cool vibe and a great use of space... hard to believe it's in a garage.
I know, right? Thanks for watching layla!
Nailed the design!
This is super awesome, if I may ask, do you know if Thomas use a rockwool or some sort within the gap of the double wall?, thank you
I gotta make it back to Nashville
Awesome place for making art :D
It really is!
750 sqft is larger than most homes here! Very sweet space!
Among all the episodes i have seen, i think i need a coffee mug 1st thing!
Just subscribed. You should come do a video on Fuzz City Studio in SLC!
That is almost exactly what I want to build. As soon as construction prices come back to earth we are planning to build a 30'x30' outbuilding for me. I'd love to get info on the designer. If you were building from scratch would you go bigger or maybe higher?
I´m here at work ,- watch it later.. :)
Alright, Ulf.... we are counting on you :D Have a great day!
@@arianamastersofficial Would I EVER let y´all down? :)
@@ulfdanielsen6009 NEVER!
I love how all these videos are just people nerding out over a cup of a coffee
I want to know about the interior doors. Are they effective? what doors and frames did he use? how did he seal them? I'm trying to go the DIY route instead of forking out 1000s of $$$ for custom built STC rated doors.
wow this is insanely awesome
dude he nailed it. the modular panels are sick.
The problem with storing that keyboard on its side, is it "potentially" can mess up the key action, even aspect of the keys. Kind of like leaning a guitar head stock against a wall. Maybe it won't but its happened to me.
This studio has about 50% more floor area than the place I'm living in, haha! I do have the Phillips HUE though...
My old church had a ghost sound craft in a storage bench once
In England we call that garage a house.
5:16 that VW beetle is such a cutie
Man. I remember watching your videos back when you were only getting 4 digit views. Now you gettin' sponsored. Well deserved, holmie.
ALL hail the Furman Power Conditioner.
Nice videos bro
thanks bro
I'm a simple man, I see tape machine, I click like
i remember when i bought my 4038's and opened the box and there were those fckn velvet bags for them that look like someone cut them off a wizard's robe. weird styling decision esp since most people keep their 4038's out in the room so use the bags
Comeplety and totally EPIC!
Srsly though, legit setup
Lots of video editing in here holy crap
this coffee should be ice cold at the end of the video...
what shoes is he wearing?
This is the only reason I want money to buy gear , build a room and and never ever leave it
Friends that give you loans because they believe in the vision >>>>>>
Dog fur = great studio sound insulator (minus the dog!) 😁😂
How much does it cost to build a studio in this setup?
‘Garage’ = bigger than my house
How much is that place worth ? Gear and construction ?
Pssstt... your fly is open...
I’ve never heard of the 13x18 golden ratio, why is this!
In your videos I often see studios in Garages in backyard... and everywhere is good nature... is it expensive to buy a Home with Backyard in Nashvile? P.S. I`m not from USA so that`s why I asks)
Depends on what part of the country you buy property. If you choose to live in a big city, it's very expensive. If you live in a smaller town, it's very affordable and standard.
@@AndrewMasters Thanks!
weird question maybe, but what's he talking about outside when he says "at the time it was illegal to have a studio"? was there some point in recent history where DIY recording was forbidden?
Operating a studio business out of a residence was not legal in Nashville until a couple of years ago.
Rich kids eh!
Every person you interview is drinking coffee in a studio.
Everyone I've ever met who works in a studio (myself included) always has coffee in their hand. (....sips coffee)
@@AndrewMasters I wrote my comment as I too was sipping coffee from my frosted flakes mug.
Cool studio vibes! Just a helpful tip on the filming end of things.... I literally got motion sick watching this video, seems like you can catch the vibe and detailed shots without the constant panning across everything you want to capture? I’d rather see a solid moment vs so much camera movement if that makes sense. Love your channel in general.
It doesn’t count as a garage unless there’s a Craftsman toolbox somewhere in plain sight.
Fun Fact: A Craftsman toolbox makes a garage out of ANY room it's located in.
@@arianamastersofficial 🤯
what daw controller is that!
Thomas is using the Avid Artist Mix
That aint a garage, it is an aircraft hanger... nice job thought!
its a rule everyone has a coffee cup in hand during tours
cut....cut,cut,cut.....cutcutcut.....cut. omg cut....cut....cut cut. ....
the first 2 min. i thought ..."woah this is laggy"
You can’t do an official studio tour unless you have a cup of something to drink in your hand while talking and showing
Why does every studio in your vids have the exact same red carpet? !
Why Is Daddy At The Thai Massage ?
It’s the signature of the home studio Illuminati
Double garage, not just a regular garage... so it's bigger than normal........
It's a garage.
Dude what is up with all these people having garages and basements that are larger than middle class family homes? What is that a 4 or 5 car garage?
Two stall, hence the two stall door at the front
Why they still saying "engeneering"? Do they design circuits and applying limits and derivatives?
An audio signal gets inserted in a circuit where machines or virtuals machines apply calculations to decibels and Hertz, the person who designs the circuit the signal has to go through and sets the machine to perform the calculations they intend Is the engineer
@@edoardoteani3681 Yes...you said it all...so the mixer person is NOT an engenieer...
I can't believe people actually buy fake doors
13 x 21 would be golden ratio heehee
No.. dog hair is acceptable and knda expected.
My God stop the fucking intro music… That’s way too loud and terrible at the same time.
Good
