Ruling out carelessness without reason may not be a good idea, but we have specific evidence that suggests we should rule it out, at least in the specific form of it that you presented (unless I'm failing to think of a scenario where the editing comment makes sense given the error was what you said).

Fun bit of history about that Light and Darkness Dragon product:
It was the only way to get your hands on the full-reprint set Dark Revelation 4, and you only got two packs. To reiterate, Dark Revelation 4 was a full reprint set containing Cybernetic Revolution, Elemental Energy, Shadow of Infinity and Enemy of Justice, with a few cards having their rarities shuffled around a bit. Dark Revelation 4 was also not released outside the US.
Lastly, this wasn't the only place to get Light and Darkness Dragon: a manga dropped that same month with a secret rare version of the card inside it. So a player going for a playset of Secrets wouldn't even bother with the Dark Revelation 4 set, and those that did only got 6 packs at most of Dark Revelation 4.
This is why you'll see cards like normal rare Destiny Hero Doomlord go for over $100 and Secret Rare DD Assailant go for $500.

I loved this format. I wrote the Gadget decklist that Paul Doherty topped with in the same SJC Orlando 2008 event. He ran it after seeing the Irish players do really well with the deck in the UK Pharaoh Tour Final. 20:53 and 42:20 is exactly why I never picked Hydrogeddon, instead opting for Drillroids. You already have Gadgets as instant floaters, and it doesn't support the Gadgets in any way. Drillroid on the other hand handled Reaper, Marshmallon, Spies, Fear Monger, etc, which makes it a struggle for them to bring out LaDD.

LADD would trigger its revival eff even with Judgment. Then Raiza would still die to Shrink, or you could go for the draws with Disc.

Another detail not mentioned in the LaDD explanation is that iirc it only can use its effect once per chain so even without Solemn set in that last game, if MBT had a Shrink he could bait the negate and resolve the Shrink as Chain Link 3 with no opposition.
LaDD was a pretty solid boss back in the day. It's not too many episodes before the game gets REDMD too. This is gonna get pretty good.
