I like the bolt on the coil to hold in place on the f56. I have the r56 and changed my plugs the car is 8 weeks new to me. After taking the clampdown coils out for the change I was throwing codes for cylinder 2 it was the clamp failing after extraction. Going to order a new set. About ripped my finger off trying to get it out

I’m doing this and unfortunately getting the laser adapter stuck onto the spark plug in the car, not fun. Reattach and try to pull, and instead the bar comes off the socket adapter :)
My f56 idles high like sometimes wants to reach 2000 rpm. Hoping changing my spark plugs will make the check engine light go away. Do I need to change the ignition coil with spark plug? I’m at 55k miles on my mini
Thanks for watching. I can’t speak for your specific symptoms however the F56 is known for faulty coils my old one had a few changed under warranty. It’s not necessary to change them when changing spark plugs. Sorry I can’t help more.

Could faulty spark plugs possibly be the reason why my engine revs high while it’s idle?
Hi thanks for watching, is it an F56? There are many things it could be but my first thought wouldn’t be spark plugs.
If it’s idling around 1500/2000rpm on idle when engines warm, It’s your fuel tank breather valve, easy fix and cheap.

I changed it to ngk and got a rich mixture
Odd maybe linked to other mods you have? As the NGK plug are fitted at factory after a certain year
