    Thanks for this! I appreciate the fact that you did the entire job on camera. Some repair videos cut so often it's difficult to follow exactly what's actually happening.

    Dayuumm. You just saved me $350. Thieving dealer wanted $350 (!) for the THREE plugs in my 2015 B38. From what you showed here I have no doubt that it's doable in under 15 minutes. I owe you, dude.

      Glad to help. It is totally doable. Just make sure you have the thin wall socket before you start.

      @@kevinringer2984 Yep! Already knew that thanks to Rainman Ray. Have a long thin wall with wobble and magnet ready to go.
      Thanks again!

      2017 Countryman is nothing like this one . Brace runs right over the top and cowl rubber seal must be removed first . Not for the faint of heart , that's for sure . I am a fair mechanic and it looks like 2 hours easy . 350 sounds pretty fair for a dealership .

    You’re a great lad for posting this. Dealer wants £800 for plugs and oil change. I knew the R53 wasn’t difficult as I had one a few years back but didn’t know about the F55.

    Awesome tutorial- I’ll be doing this my son’s 2017 Mini Cooper S next month-
    Dude, you sound like Jack Nicholson 😂! For a minute I thought it was Jack working on a mini!
    Thanks a bunch!

    Is this the same for a 2016 F57 convertible?

    • @kevinringer2984
      @kevinringer2984  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, it looks like the 2016 convertible is the F57. You may have a 3 cylinder if it is the base model and not an S. The rest is the same.

      I used BMW 12120040551. Yours are different. I would look them up on REALOEM dot COM.

    Where did you buy the coil and the spark plug

    • @kevinringer2984
      @kevinringer2984  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I got the plugs off Ebay, it is a risk but they were genuine BMW plugs. Not sure on the coil. I did not replace any coils.

    How many miles/kms did you have when you did this?

    • @kevinringer2984
      @kevinringer2984  ปีที่แล้ว

      I had 86K on it. It was the second time I changed them. I aim for about 45K. Turbo engines are hard on plugs and in the big scheme of things they are cheap and easy and make sure I have a nice spark all the time.
