I've Ben looking for some more detailed videos on a turbo set up ..I had no clue where to run vacume this video is a hit ..now all I gotta do is buy a couple turbos and a new blow thru carb real quick ..I'll break it to my woman over mother's day dinner in Gatlinburg TN on Sunday .. worst case scenario I'll have to stop by bass pro shops m buy her a new pistol ..thanks for the free education it helps me tremendously
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ADVICE. A WORLD OF INFORMATION . MUCH APPRECIATED.DOES YOUR S10 HAVE AN OLD SCHOOL SMALL BLOCK OR LS? I HAVE A 83 WITH 383 WITH TURBO 66MM. HOPE TO FIRE IT OFF SOON
Hay I watched this video and couldn’t agree with you more, I’m building my first turbo deal, and of course it’s a blow through deal, what all is needed for a 500 hp n/a engine, I have a on 3 turbo setup I’m going to use that for my 393w and was curious if anyone has a idea of what size bov and waste gate I need for my engine or turbo rather I have a 70 mm turbo, but I’m going to us a lil bit bigger turbo cause my 393 will have a lot more exhaust volume is what I been told, I was told I need a bigger exhaust housing
I'm building a very similar setup, do you have any advice or pics you could send of a tune up im using a msd 6014. Im use to a distributor so the laptop and timing tables has me confused a little.

@@RobbyVsGarage Great vid. Just have one question. My turbo didn't come with a vacuum port on it. So I ran my wastegate vacuum to the carburetor. Is that fine or should it go to the manifold? Thanks
Hey Robbie, I’m doing a 71 C10 stepside with a 5.3. I am thinking of ditching the EFI and running a carb. I would like to go turbo one day. Would you run that carb/turbo setup on the street or just bite the bullet and do EFI and grow it from there??
If you're familiar with carburetors and live in a warm climate then I would say this is a street able setup. If you live in a cold climate then you'll just have a harder time starting because you cant run a choke. This setup runs better than my efi setup in my c10 and I dont have a way to tune my c10.
Robby V's Garage You and I share a climate.. it’s 109 degrees here today. Lol. I’m from Las Vegas, NV so if it runs good there then I would be good also. Thanks for the tip. Hopefully we can hit up a cruise when COVID blows over.
So your running the boost reference fuel pressure regulator out of your hat. And the BOV on the manifold vacuum from the carb or did you drill and tap the intake and run off that?
@@RobbyVsGarage I figured! Thanks for the info. I have both of them running off the back of my holley super sniper manifold/vacuum side. I'm at the end of my project should be able to fire it up this week.
My procharger hat doesn't have a spot for the boost reference fuel pressure regulator to hook into. I was going to drill and tap it. It's the saucer type hat. I would think it would be okay. There is a filter inside of it and I didn't know if that would interfere with the pressure in the dome.
So I don’t have a port coming out of turbo housing and I’m running it off my spring so I need to use the bottom port on gate then run my line to the back of the carb hat correct?
How it the quick fuel carb working for you. Talked to Kevin at csu talking a 9 weeks to get one at around 1200 bucks I am only running 10 to 12 lbs of boost on a 509 bbc with vs racing 78/75 turbos in a gen 1 s10 . Thanks.. love the truck btw.
your stuff may work but you should have a dedicated line from the compressor of your turbo to your wastegate/solenoid ... using t-s is not a good idea. especially with regulators and diaphragms.
What power valves are you running , mine came with a 4.5 , I have a 2.5 and a pair of scs carbs boost reference power valves. Thanks.only running 8 lbs of boost .
Can I ask what fuel regulator are you running and how much boost your making . I am looking at the Aeromotive regulators that are for carb application 3 to 20 psi. . Thank you.
Really appreciate the short video. Made clear for me what was only clear as mud before. 85 Ranger blow through project here.
Hey Robby, just found your channel! Excellent delivery of content was looking for this type of information. Digging the progression!
Welcome aboard!
Thanks for the info...so much stuff out there for 1500hp fuel injection set ups...nice to see this
Thanks answered a lot of questions I had .... getting ready to do a turbo with a blow through carb on a 6.0 LS
Hay brother new too your channel . I love what you are doing with your truck. Keep the videos going IAM learning a lotst from you thanks

We’ll shit. I’ve had my BOV line set up wrong. Great info in this channel, keep it up.
Thank you for the information. Not alot of information on a blow through setup.
Hello I am getting ready to buy a C&S to do my turbo S10 build .good info thanks for sharing your info
Thanks for that vacuume routing explanation👍

Very well done!
I wanting to do a set up like that
Excellent and to the point. Thanks for sharing!!!
Hey brother u helped us out ! Thank you
Thanks for the tips I have a chevelle with a procharger that just came in to the shop and the customer wants to get it running.
Great explanation!
Yes robby good content of nollage.keep videos comming.
Thanks for this video, it was very helpful

Very good video and informative. I'm just needing to know if I need to drill intake for bov if the base plate isn't good enough.
This def helped! I'm at that point RN with a twin turbo gen 1 sbc
Thanks 🙏
Good info... I need more. But this is good start.
If you’re running a modded mechanical fuel pump for boost reference, where would you connect that?
Really appreciate the video it was perfect and had mine wrong thx TH-cam lol gonna fix mine and hopefully the blow off valve starts working 😂

Such a clean install and great video. Do you happen to have the info on where you purchased the black air line and fittings for boost and vacuum?
@@RobbyVsGarage Thank you sir!
Good video
Helped out alot man thanks
I just bought a Mercury with a blow through carb. I have no idea what I’m doing with it.
Very helpful fuck i was so lost with everything 😂
Awesome work and appreciate the information 👌🏽 where did you run your air feed for your Fuel pressure regulator?
It’s going to my carb hat
thanks man really helped out alot!
Helped me. Thank you. What carb hat is that?
Made by Holley
Im still so confused but at the same time im less confused. Guess the research goes on further
Thank you for this video man. I’ve been searching days for a video like this. Where did you get your fuel pressure regulator and boost block?

Intake, it is already drilled and tapped.
@@RobbyVsGarage yeah I just check on mine. This works the same with a procharger correct? I'm running a procharger not a turbo.
Yeah same theory

Does the blow off valve plug into the bottom of the carb, or under it?
Either way. Just needs vacuum at idle
thank you. very helpful
Help me out a lot thanks
So I don’t have a port coming out of turbo housing and I’m running it off my spring so I need to use the bottom port on gate then run my line to the back of the carb hat correct?
Yes that will work the same
Just what I need, can the turbo supply boost reference for everything with say a T fitting
Yes it can

The carb works great, I love it. I recommend it to everyone.
@@RobbyVsGarage
Sweet cause I certain carb builder won't email me back on submission form . Thank you.
Were you able to run that quick fuel carb as it is stock? I’m specifically interested in the power valve? How was tuning with that carb?
On gas I ran it right out of the box
Also the bov need to go under the carb only correct and did u just leave the wastegate port on top open or did u put a banjo into it?
You leave it open. I put the banjo fitting on it to prevent anything from falling in the port and plugging it
Hey man, I love the videos. I’m in Delaware, any chance you are close and wanna help with my build?
Sorry man, I’m in Arizona
@@RobbyVsGarage Ahahahah! Lucky.

I do have a dedicated line

What power valves are you running , mine came with a 4.5 , I have a 2.5 and a pair of scs carbs boost reference power valves. Thanks.only running 8 lbs of boost .
It came with a 4.5 in the front and a plug in the rear. I haven’t really had to mess with it under low boost. I may switch to boost reference soon.
Now I'm really confused...so u got have both waistgate and a blow off valve???
Yes. They do two different things. Wastegates control how much boost you get and blow off valve release boost pressure when you let off the throttle
Ok thank u vary much...nice show
Can I ask what fuel regulator are you running and how much boost your making . I am looking at the Aeromotive regulators that are for carb application 3 to 20 psi. . Thank you.
It's the #13301 I think and I'm around 14 psi
Are you near Delaware? Ahahahah! Could use your help
Would you recommend that carburetor.. and was it hard to tune
100%. Worked out of the box
Can i put a BOV on top or side of the turbo hat?
You can but I wouldn’t recommend it. It will create a turbulence over the carb
This is exactly what I was looking for. Its too bad you're not running a boost controller to show how the vacuum lines would be ran with it also.
It would go between the compressor and the wastegate
Thanks bro
I'm running a csu blow thru and it has a port in the base plate will that work for the BOV?
Yeah I believe it will
Is it almost time to hit the strip?
If only they were open
Robby V's Garage I know a street
Awesome, thank you..subbed
How’s the quick fuel carb going for you? Wanted to go with CSU but there hard to contact
It has worked great out of the box. Just had to adjust idle mixture. I have no complaints
@@RobbyVsGarage
Going to run a supercharger on my application. Is that qft blow thru U got there?
Was thinking to get the 850 BAN qft for supercharger
Yes it the 750 blow thru. On an episode of Roadkill Garage they use this carb with a supercharger and also had good success with it.
@@RobbyVsGarage
Did you had to change out jets for tuning it when u got the qft?
Still on the jets it came with
😎👍
Put the camera on the engine?. 😢
