Silent magician does lose its levels when negated but if it gains level through external means like Turn Silence, it retains the +3 level.
I still don't see how. Its not like its level modulation is tied to a continuous effect, its almost like having spell counters or something. The effect activates, resolves, and then you keep the level modulation.
@@four-en-tee Think Apollousa, it's attack value is set by it's own effect, once negated when the negation ends her attack remains at zero, Silent Magician Zero increasing it's level due to it's own effect, once negated loses those levels gained, but a card like turn silence that increases level is due to another cards effect, and won't expire when that monsters effects are negated, if a card effects only itself, once negated it will lose those effect gains, Apollousa, Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon, Accesscode Talker etc

I had to look up a Shooting Riser Dragon ruling to confirm. You're correct, effects of a monster that changes its own level are reversed after their effects are negated.

So correct me if I'm wrong, it's Levels it gains via it's own effect are lost, but Levels gained via external means, such as Turn Silence: it maintains. Good to note, thank you.

Gandora is the new GREN MAJU. I made a deck with both in. It's a tonne of damage SS Gren with 3k+ attack, nuking the field, then NS Gren on 3k+ attack and with the new summoned skull you summon off Gandora's effect it's another 3.5 damage which is lethal
55:17 Ties that bind doesn't check the name of the monster on the field. So as long as the two monsters you are summoning have different names you can summon one that has the same name on field

So actually, n'tss grave effect to pop is not once per turn. Its other effects are :)

Shining Sarcophagus is an highly underrated archetype. Def WCS material.
Cant wait for you to try ashened like this. I know the deck is very restricted but it can work.
I think the biggest hurdle is deck building as the deck needs the field spell and veidos to function. Many 2 card and a 1 card combo get you started but build it bad and you constantly brick.
On the other hand it kind of has a nice gameplay.
I play it with horus. It helps with the bricking because you can pitch unusable resources for horus cards, and they are immune to the boardwipe.
@@grodon909 sounds interesting. I will check it out once the horus engine drops in price. I feel like buying imsety now is a huge miss with tins on the horizon.

Been messing with this in Gold Pride PUNK, Turn Silence is basically just an in-archetype Crossout. Lets me play through Nib.
Gandora is also an additional lvl 8, and the level 4s allow you to go into Dawn Dragster. You can generate a lot of resources in that deck.

really wanna see them give this deck a last wave of support with gaia, buster blader, and a magnet warrior card (kinda like how they made one for all the gadgets) to really make it feel like playng yugis deck
To be honest Konami took the manga route more than the anime one but one anime card did become a part of it: Summoned Skull aka Archfiends Arrival.

I think Silent Magician would lose the levels that it gained by its own effect. I would assume this ruling would be similar to the ATK/DEF modulation effects ruling where it goes away if it only affects itself, but stays if it affects other monsters. Since Magician can gain levels outside its own effect, but its own effect only affects itself, it would only lose those levels. It would also lose all the attack boost regardless (until the negation wears off) since that’s a continuous effect

I just went to locals last week for the first time ever but 20+ years ago when I played there just wasn't the concept. I can only imagine rolling up to locals and Jesse Kotton sits down across from you with an experimental deck like this. You either are going to have the best Yugioh experience of your life, or good lord, please understand, he's just really really really good at the game.

The shining sarc cards are genuinely some of the coolest cards in the game to me. I had been looking forward to them for so so so so so long. Lede coming out was so exciting, but then I saw the rarities and prices for singles... and its like... wow... this low power deck that wont ever see real competitve play is now entirely unobtainable for me. Its genuinely so disheartening because I love watching people have fun with these cards, and I just want to play them so dang badly but dropping over 100 for a deck to play with friends or at locals just isnt realistic. And that 100 is just for the archetype itself. Not for ed or side engines or anything else... im so upset man

if you think about the fact that for now it's a deck with only a wave they are indeed kinda crazy,second wave is kinda mid too but we gotta wait all the supports and we know there will be a bunch others too
