This is the second track of the series of Remastered Themes. For who still don’t know what the Remastered Themes are, basically Disney released during 2018 a CD with the Remastered Versions of the best soundtracks of the original six Star Wars movies, with better quality, sound and some modifications. For this track in particular I used of course the remastered versions of Qui-Gon's Funeral and Padmé's Destiny, and plus I used a rare clean version of Padmé’s Funeral, without the annoying sfx effects like the voices in the background.
Technically they did “try” and help him, by telling him to let go of whoever/whatever was causing him that pain. In the moment the jedi thought they were genuinely helping him let go of hate, but they only made him bitter as one really cant just let go like that. Later on yoda and obiwan rectify their mistake with luke and (when going by the original EU) luke goes on to allow attachments in his new order. TLdr: They thought they helped but ultimately sounded like the “depression is in your head” crowd.
Imagine this. You’ve just been destroyed emotionally and physically. You’ve slaughtered all of your Jedi friends. Near everything you love is gone. You don’t even have lungs anymore. You’ve been burned to near death. You are now the reason the galaxy will begin to crumble. The opposite of a hero, and the definition of madman. The first thing you ask is “Is she safe? Is she alright?”
@@disastergoblin65 he did try a number of times, but to no prevail. But then he just accepted it, fate kept him alive so he decided to embrace the pain and use it against his enemies.
And yet one of the most amazing ever told, if not THE greatest. Best story of redemption ever in a lot of ways. Sad and happy at the same time. Powerful in so many ways
I genuinely think exactly like you After that exact instant , he broke. He broke at a point of no return. He broke so deeply and painfully, that yoda would have compassion for him at that moment
Do you not believe Luke brought Anakin out of Vader at the end of Episode 6? I believe he did. It doesn’t make up for what Vader has done, but Anakin conquered Vader finally thanks to the undying love of his son.
Oh definitely. The part where the Imperial March can be heard along with the melody proves that. It's a funeral theme for both Anakin - his soul, specifically - and Padme. (That said, I like to think that Anakin's soul didn't really _die_ so much as it went into this spiritual coma and was reawakened by Luke's compassion.)
Just came over from the Padme's Ruminations scene, where people were noting the sunset when Padme and Anakin were looking at each other across the city.
@@godgus1863 no bro death star could destroy planets not stars star are like 100x bigger than a normal planet so it would take like 100 shots if its posible to destroy a star
truly, this is a song of true suffering, Anakin's realization that he sacrificed everything to save the woman he loved, only to be the cause of her death in the process
Technically, Sidious killed her. Padme was alive, and she was fine. Her lost will to live? Was more to do with Sidious influencing the force to kill her, and on top of that, whatever remained left of good inside of Anakin, thus ceasing his life as him and becoming full fledged Vader. Sidious knew he could not FULLY control him until what was tying him to his life was destroyed. Then years later when his children, Luke mostly, returned to his life... oh how, he must've felt his love for Padme which transpired onto his children and he could not bare that pain/loss again.
The fact that he asked if she was safe, if she was alright... after knowing all the horrible things he did, this is why Padme believed there was good in him, and why Luke saw it too. It was buried deep down inside, but his caring nature was at the core of who he was and all his self-hatred came from that failure to protect that which he cared about.
I don’t care what Disney says. He’s the chosen one who fulfilled the prophecy and ended the Sith. The Palpatine bloodline isn’t the hero or victor of Star Wars. It will always be Anakin with the help of his son.
Fuck Disney Rey didn't suffer 1% of what Anakin did hell, Shmi suffered loosing her son while she remained a slave just so he could have a better life. Rey isn't the chosen one. She's not even a fucking Skywalker.
There is no 7, 8 and 9 there is only 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 plus the EU lore after 6 anything else disney has made is good like stories involving set in the prequels or original trilogy and the Vader comic's made him badass again.
I don't think Vader is a power hungry maniac. His master is, he was just doing his master's bidding. Lord Vader probably wouldn't deliberately destroy Alderran.
@@melsoderlund3379 Did he order the destruction of the planet? Standing Idle and Ordering the destruction of a planet are different. I truly dont believe Vader was responsible for that
@@anakinvader9120 Weren't he and Tarkin equals in the Empire leadership? I always saw it that was since Vader is Sidious' right-hand man and Tarkin leads the Death Star, or at least Vader not having authority of such a weapon
“I regret nothing. I betrayed my master, failed my apprentice, slaughtered my own brother’s, and sister’s at the Jedi temple, and even wanted to kill my new master... but for losing you my love I am sorry...” - Darth Vader

The coolest part is that the image is so dark on Vader, you almost can’t tell if he’s coming up the steps to mourn his love, or turning his back to the casket and leaving it there
I believe it was F. Scott Fitzgerald who said “Show me a hero, and I’ll write you a tragedy.” I think we can all agree Star Wars and in particular the story of Darth Vader is one of the greatest examples of said quote.
Well....There's also the tragedy of Ulic Qel-Droma. And Freedom Nadd. And Exar Kun. And Darth Krayt.....you see, most Sith Lords have suffered a loss or two.
Alejandro 2333 Personally I always thought that in ANH when he states he can feel a presence he hasn’t felt in a long time that he’s talking about Luke not Obi-Wan, which is why he cuts himself off and retreats because he’s remembering Padme and it’s too painful.
@@EdTzani there was always a VERY small amount of Anakin within Vader still, unbeknownst to him it was due to the birth of his kids. He hated the world and himself for allowing the one he loved to die, felt he had nothing to carry except hatred. He thought he "killed" Anakin, but held on to a very small hope, and it all was the result of Padme
Revenge of the Sith is my favorite movie of all time. The story, the action, the sadness, the visuals are all astounding, but the music... well I never heard a better score for a movie anywhere else, and I've seen a lot of movies. It's beyond me of how John Williams created such a magnificent soundtrack for a movie. Revenge of the Sith has all the greatest musics of Star Wars, you can hear across the stars, the imperial march, duel of the fates, the emperor theme, padme/qui son funeral, plus some original tracks like Battle of the Heroes, Anakin's Dark Deeds, Anakin's Betrayal.
There was only silence, in that moment, when Anakin and Padmé exhaled their last breath in unison. Their children's fate sealed in time with Vader's mask. Padmé had drowned in misery and Anakin had drowned in molten magma. For many years, Darth Vader stewed within the fires that devoured his very soul. But that all changed when a young man shot down the death star, when a untrained child stood his ground even in the lieu of his very own dismemberment. The boy had the strengths of Windu, the wisdom of Yoda, The patience of Obi-Wan, The blood of the chosen one and the heart of Naboo. And beyond the rattiling breaths of his fickle lungs, Darth Vader sunk far into the broiling lava and allowed himself to be destroyed, and from the surface burst Anakin Skywalker, who could only look upon in wonder, at Luke Skywalker.
Alright so I've never seen a Star Wars movie in my life, until I watched Solo a few months back. From there, I decided to watch all 3 trilogies, starting with the prequels (a suggestion from my dad.), and I'll give my honest opinions here. Prequels - Absolutely amazing. Very loveable characters, and an interesting introduction to the universe of Star Wars. I grew attached to the characters quickly, and loved every second of the trilogy. I was immediately surprised at how dark the movies turned starting with Attack of the Clones. Anakin slaughtering the Tusken Raiders brought chills to my spine. I knew he would one day be Darth Vader, because how couldn't you know that these days, but seeing the transition first hand was bone chilling. It was subtle, but masterful, and I quickly realized the turns it was taking. The action was great, and Obi-Wan was my favorite character. I'm glad they didn't alienate Anakin's reasons for turning to the dark side. It was odd, but I could honestly understand and even slightly agree with his choices, as awful as they were. And then there was Order 66. Jesus. Originals - God, what to say. First thing's first, the OGs didn't seem to age well. Being spoiled with amazing effects in movies these days, and the pretty good effects of the prequels, I can say I was a bit underwhelmed with the action and such at first. But the story. The story was amazing, especially after having seen the Prequels first. Everything felt connected, and seeing this galaxy lost after the catastrophic events in the Prequels was eerie. It was like I was Obi-Wan, the "last living" Jedi who had seen the atrocities and the fall of the Republic first hand, now witnessing a world without it, under the oppression of the Sith, and in the shadow of the Republic's fall. I felt like the rise of the Rebellion was a great story to tell, and the resolution was great, what with Luke reuniting with Anakin... Seeing Anakin like that after all that time was sort of nostalgic, and sad, like seeing an old friend on their deathbed... Which reminds me, watching Obi-Wan die was also very jarring, and sad as well. Sequels - Basically like watching the Originals again. All Disney did was remake the Empire in the form of the First Order, remake the Rebellion in the form of the Resistance, remake the Death Star in the form of Star Killer Base, remake Darth Vader in the form of Kylo Ren, remake the Luke Skywalker arc in the form of Rey, revived Palpatine, and did the exact same thing that the OG Trilogy did. The visuals were nice, and I loved The Last Jedi for those aspects, especially the battle on Crait, and the scene where Admiral Holdo sacrificed herself (God that scene was visually pleasing). Other than that, I really disliked the Sequels. Anywho, I hoped you all enjoyed my opinion! I'm glad I could finally finish the Star Wars films, and I've just recently started on Clone Wars (Which I've heard is amazing, and I'm already enjoying it.) I hope my opinion somehow helped you!
@Antoine Gauthier Yeah, especially when you watch the stuff from before it. Just...ignore that business with Vader and Kenobi taping each other's lightsabers together like two senile old men poking their canes at each other.
He didnt say I hate myself. He had a battle with darth maul and darth maul replied something along the lines what do you hate enough that made you strong enough to defeat me and Vader replied “Myself”.
When he couldn't save padme he decided to make sure nobody makes him lose his power like darth plagueis had. Thats whybhe kept living. But then he thought to himself why have this power if theres nobody there to save and so he felt alone and the phase of hate ended for his sith journey. And began the journey of suffering and regret. I feel bad
Star Wars 1 to 6 is a masterpiece, a modern Greek tragedy. The story, the characters, the music (!) are magnificent. Disney’s trilogy is a fast food Star Wars, with only special effects and space fights. They didn’t capture the raison d’être of the saga.
I disagree it has some depth all Rey wanted to know is who she but it was also her greatest fear.Kilo was all about living up to his grandfather pushing himself to be like him POWERFUL.Finn is all about redemption proving to others he is good but most importantly himself and well rose..nobody likes her
Yeah. I love how it starts to over take the sadness of her passing. Almost as if to show the overwhelmingly dominating new person. He left the last bit of himself in that grave.
Vader/Anakin is the epitome of what it is to be your own worst enemy. The whole time he was fretting over saving Padme from some unknown threat when he was the one that she needed saving from. Ah,the irony...
The Birth of young Anakin The Training of young Anakin The Fall of Anakin and all he loved And finally.. The birth of the Metallic Beast, known as... Darth *Vader*
This theme is so perfect because it almost completely consists of the sadness and grief, that Anakin feels about Padmés death - until 03:55, when you hear a little piece of the Imperial March, aka Darth Vaders Theme, to show that grief and wrath now overweigh the sadness. And that Anakin Skywalker exists no longer. Darth Vader has risen.
The end of one conflict, and the start of a new one. The extermination of the Jedi, the restoration of the Sith. The fall of the Republic, and the rise of the Empire. The death of a hero, and birth of a villian. The dark side may rule, but the light side will rebel!
the dark is generous, and it is patient, and it always wins -- but in the heart of it's strength lies it's one weakness: one lone candle is enough to hold it back. Love is more than a candle. Love can ignite the stars.
I think Sidious rather drained Padme and Anakin of their Life-Energy to create Vader, thus Vader killed Anakin and Padme. That sounds more Poetic than Padme died because of the big Sad
Say whatever you want about the prequels, but at least they had these: those few moments, those few scenes, so filled with emotion and impact that, years after, we remember them, we keep watching them, and we keep enjoying them. Prequels had moments that belong to the cinema legends and stayed with us, because they were created with passion. Sequels failed because they had no soul, no vision, no true artistic passion with it, and thus could not produce any moment like this. That's the difference between art and money-making-machine movie. Proof: when working on the prequels, John Williams (eternal praise upon him) created THIS.
The prequels were a mix. The action sequences, the music, and the acting was mostly good (yes, including Hayden Christensen), when the acting wasn't good I blame Lucas' and the producers' more than the cast. The sequence where Obi Wan and Anakin fight on Mustafar, the emergency starship landing on Coruscant, there were many magnificent visual sequences. And any scene with Ian McDiarmid crackled with life. It's no accident that the scene where Palpatine tells Anakin about Darth Plagius has become the identifying scene of that movie, the one people tend to remember, even more than the final lightsaber duel. But...the _story_ was weak in many ways. The idea of Jedi being trained from pre-school age, that was just plain _stupid_ on Lucas' part, and it messed up everything that came after. Likewise, the idea that Naboo would _elect_ a 14 year old as head of state/government in a time of high interstellar tension, and that apparently they do that sort of thing a lot...stupid. Unbelievable. And in spots the prequels conflict with the originals. Yoda tells Luke in TESB that to become a Jedi needs 'deep commitment and serious mind'. You don't find deep commitment and serious mind in 3 years olds. Luke asks Leia in RotJ if she can remember her 'real mother', and she _can_ . Apparently in the original conception her mother died when Leia was tiny, but in the prequels she died when Leia was minutes old. So the prequels have some great bits and some real problems, too.
Anakin is dead, encased in a tomb of dark machinery. The Dark Father remains, a shadow of his former self. The Chosen One destined to suffer, manipulated, and abused till death.
Little knowledge: you can hear a slight hint of "Across the Stars" before the "Imperial March" starts to consume both the funeral theme and it. You only hear the first two notes of the melody after you hear the "Force" motif, then the funeral theme covers it along with the march. You're essentially hearing Anakin's heart giving way to grief and submitting to his new role.
It makes me cry every time. The looming tragedy of a Anakins downfall, the birth of the empire, but also a small glimmer of hope in Luke and leia found in the binary sunset, and the short bit of imperial march to show the darkness they will have to face. Flawless, perfect, and very fitting. The day we lose John Williams is the day we lose the best composer in history in my opinion. This is why Anakin and Vader are the greatest characters in all of Star Wars.
"The bombs fell on the palace in naboo as the empire started their assault, but it was an odd assault. Few troops landed, only a few walkers and fighters, taking out our Anti-air blasters. My fingers trembled as the city rumbled from the wake. As a guard that watched over our queens tomb, I looked at the smoke and out came walking a man in black. My heart felt as if it had stopped beating and Fear took over me as the second most powerful being within the empire came walking toward the tomb. Darth vader. The butcher of the rebellion,The iron fist of the empire, and the jedi executioner. I raised my weapon ready to defend the queens final resting place, but to my surprise he stood over me as he stopped in front. He was not looking at me, but the tomb. He pulled out his lightsaber, yet didnt activate it. He just pushed me aside rather than killing me. He walked close to our queens final resting place and stopped mid way as if respecting the dead queens space. He stood there for about 3 minutes and reached out to touch the face of the queen as if he was saying goodbye. He turned around and walked back, but not without turning to me. He looked at me and said only a few words. Those words puzzle me to this day and I was spared. The words he told me were 'guard her well'. After that, the walkers and the fighters retreated as if nothing happened. All that remained were the fires from the AA blasters and the sound of the rain. Many guards and citizens say it was a fearful day. But to me...it was a rather sad day. And I just dont know why." -Naboo tomb guard CREDITS TO gearfox7 at th-cam.com/video/u8x2HeLi3lE/w-d-xo.html&
"Was it worth it?" He can hear her say in his memories, or was she saying it to him right now in spirit, perhaps standing beside him looking down at her own tomb. "I only wanted to protect you, everything I did I did for you and our children" For what feels like an eternity he is no longer Darth Vader, no longer the burned and scarred man he had become, but his younger self again. He was Anakin Skywalker once again but only for this moment, only to talk to Padme. "Such a high cost then, Anakin, everything you trained and fought for resulted in a monster and the end of my life. So was it worth it? All the power you have now, an army at your command, was it worth it?" Part of him wishes to reach out and stop the slaughter but another part, an angry part of himself, wanted the slaughter to increase in some hollow attempt to tune out the grief in his heart and the failure he felt at not being able to save Padme. Looking over to her, where she stands as vital and alive as she did so many years before, he can only think of a single response: "No" She fades away into oblivion with sadness in her wake as Anakin sinks back into himself as once again his grief consumes him and Darth Vader returns. Turning from the tomb of his beloved, he walks away back into the slaughter that his actions have brought about. All his deeds laid bare.
The Imperial March at the end marks the death of Padme, and the birth of Darth Vader, a man trapped in a dark shell, living without love, without a purpose, without anyone left to care about.
He loved her...he loved her so much...that he was willing to give everything to save her...his Job, his possessions, his friends....his body, his life...even...his morality
Lol, totally not, the prequels aren't overrated, just look at that shithole called "r/prequelmemes", you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy
@@Albert_Herring Oh yeah... . The movies with the bad dialogue are worse than the movies that weren't connected at all and literally broke the laws of star wars... .. .
I remember watching this in the cinema, and though I knew this had to be the way of the story, it still broke my heart. The way she went, the tragedy of Anakin's fall. I also remember vividly, when I heard Carrie Fisher passing, and THEN her mom dying, this music automatically came into my mind and my heart broke for them, both. For me, I also felt that it legitimately gave me confirmation that people, in under the worst circumstances, like Padme, can pass with a broken heart. This soundtrack of music, is a wonderfully made song. But gosh it's painful to listen to sometimes, such sorrow and such sadness. John Williams, GOAT.

John Williams is just the master. He manages to put woodwinds so smoothly into orchestral pieces without them sounding too predominant. A true artist...
Honestly....was beautiful in so many ways. With only 12 episodes, in my opinion I felt like the last 3 episodes were rushed. Nonetheless the entire finale season was SOOOOOOOO FUCKIN GOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!!! There is so much I loved about Season 7 but these moments below really stood out to me I loved how it was from Ashoka nd Rex's point of view (some of my favorite characters in Star Wars) I only wished we got to see more of 1)Padme Skywalker (even her feel Anakin's betrayal) 2)Obi-Wan nd 3)Anakin's rise to The Dark Side from Ashoka's point of view. When Maul explained how Anakin Skywalker was the prophecy of not balance but of destruction to the galaxy, nd him nd Ashoka felt Anakin's betrayal I was overjoyed with excitement. Yes what happened was tragic but knowing what was happening, knowing what happens next nd further down the story excited me. Once Order 66 was initiated, I thought Rex would help Ashoka, having his chip removed (forgot he didn't) Seeing Rex stop his brothers from shooting Ashoka saying he'll do it, crying as he was unwilling forced to kill her or any Jedi, resisting the chip implanted in his head for a few seconds while informing Ashoka of Five's theory of the chip jst before giving in to it really made me love Rex more. Before he goes gun frenzy shooting Ashoka with the other clones, he gives her advice nd a chance showing that he wasn't some mindless clone once the chip was activated, showing that he was still him nd he cared for Ashoka. It was really kewl seeing them team up to survive against the clone troopers, but sad also seeing them fight her friends (especially the ones who painted their helmets in honor of her return), his brothers (even though she only reflected their blasters away nd Rex set his blasters to stun) Even with The Clones turned against them, Ashoka still felt they were ppl, not clones, not traitors but ppl they fought alongside nd treated like family nd chose not to kill them. After they survived, the ruined crashed ship, the burial of the clones (the music nd no dialogue made this scene even more depressingly beautiful) as Rex watches Ashoka stands over their fallen comrades. Nd when she dropped her lightsaber (to get rid of it to not bring attention to her) nd signifying that her journey as a Jedi or having anything to do with The Republic has now come to a end. I could feel the sense of hopeless, that all the hardwork she nd her Jedi nd Clonetrooper brethren made has been crushed, the galaxy she fought alongside her Masters, other Jedi's, her clonetrooper brethren is even more destroyed than before Order 66, that her Jedi brethren are either dead, being hunted nd now forced to hide. Nd now herself has to hide, to avoid capture nd or death. Then when I see the stormtroopers on Hoth (years after Order 66 nd the fall of The Jedi nd Rise of The Empire) nd Darth Vader make his first presence, walking towards the wreckage Ashoka nd Rex survived (Seeing Darth Vader made me loose it, his story is tragic but he's one of the baddest nd one of my favorite villians) He finds Ashoka's lightsaber, ignites it nd looks up to the sky, I could see past the monster machinery nd red lenses nd see Anakin's eyes (It was a moment of tears because not only did they make his creation in the series outstanding, he was trapped in a life supporting machine nd so much pain, so much anger, so much sadness, so much regret I could see nd feel when I saw his eyes) After deactivating her lightsaber he turns nd walks away with her lightsaber. An Ashoka honorable helmet is seen with Darth Vader walking away, signifying (in my opinion) was Anakin holding unto a memory of Ashoka (her lightsaber because he would do anything to make sure she's safe) nd his new identity as Darth Vader walking away from the past he once knew as Anakin Skywalker. No words can explain how speechlessly amazing the entire series nd season 7 ending was. Man....each episode till the end was phenomenal nd even after I wanted more nd more to show. Great job, loved it loved it loved it fuckin loved it!!!!! Honestly this is the true meaning true nature of Star Wars, not this Disney wannabe bullshyt. After watching Rise of The Skywalkers it was all right nd kewl how it ended. Still nd will forever will believe after Star Wars Episode 6 Return of the Jedi no more movies should've been made nd to me that's when Star Wars ended. Despite all the tragedy, violence death before nd after The Empire's birth, Darth Vader chose The Light, killing The Emperor nd becoming Anakin Skywalker again, The Rebels won nd balance was brought to the galaxy. I grew up on George Lucas Star Wars, Star Wars Rogue One is the only new movie that was actually sticking to nd with the story. Again loved how Star Wars The Clone Wars series ended💯💯💯💯 #MayTheForceBeWithYou

Most believe the Jedi Knight died at the end of the war like all the other. However, some believe a much sinister fate befell him.

Some people shouldn't bear the burden of passing away. James Earl Jones was one of those people. I hope he was pain-free in the end. May the Force be with him and his family.
The picture makes me wonder, do you think Vader secretly attended Padme's funeral? I can just picture him standing on a balustrade of the cathedral, cape blowing in the wind as the rain trickles down the front of his mask. When he takes his place next to Palpatine on the Star Destroyer in the next scene, I bet that's where he'd just come from. Palpatine would know. And Vader would know he knew. But neither would say anything.
Tom Barter apparently he did, in the book reincarnation , at the siege of a Naboo like right after he became vader properly; he visited her tomb and took the Japor Snippet necklace he gave her when he met her on tattooine. Keep in mind he took it from her corpse lol
It is confirmed in legends that he wasn't able to attend her funeral do to the fact that he needed maintenance and to stay inside bacta tanks for weeks at a time before he was able to roam freely. He visited her grave after having several visions of her through the dark side, due to his guilt. Once vader had accepted that she was gone and no matter how hard he try to use sith alchemy to bring her back he couldn't. He went and visited her grave to pay his respects and say goodbye. And there for... Anakin... Was gone...

I feel like this is the most underrated song from the whole saga! Yes Duel of the Fates and Battle of the Heroes are 10/10 but man, this song has so much emotion and so darn dark.
One of the best themes in all of Star Wars. The S7 Ep 12 Clone Wars finale just did a callback in the intro and I've been hunting for the remastered version. Thanks very much!
One of the saddest scene in Star Wars... and it is very ironic, that Padme lost her will to live seeing Anakin turned to the dark side, while Anakin struggle in every ways possible to save her from her death. Tragic.
And the last thing I saw on the battle of Naboo was a dark figure walking towards the queen, looking for forgiveness...it stared at me brushing his fingers into a fist and releasing, turned around and walked away, only to be known as Darth Vader...
Vader: I tried, Padme. I really did. I did everything I could. *Padme's spirit appears* I know, Anakin. And now look at what you've become. Vader: You have no idea, how much I hate myself because of it. Because of it all. It was not supposed to be like this. Padme's spirit: Nothing was supposed to be like this. It's outrageous. It's unfair. Vader: ... Padme: Anakin, you can still make this right. I still feel the good in you. I- Vader: Anakin is dead, Padme. He is no more. Only the Dark Side remains. Imperial troops appear beside Vader, as he is looking at the abandoned grave, alone. He turns around and leaves silently as rain continues pouring over soldiers feeling an unusual melancholy.
There aren't a ton of pictures that are really worth a thousand words. This is one of them...such a tragic and simultaneously passionate image to go with one of the best ots songs ever conceived. Huge credit to Ludovic Bourgeois
At first I thought it was Vadar with his back faced to Padme then I realized he is looking at her. Then I realized it’s not him waiting for her, it’s her waiting for him.

Technically they did “try” and help him, by telling him to let go of whoever/whatever was causing him that pain.
In the moment the jedi thought they were genuinely helping him let go of hate, but they only made him bitter as one really cant just let go like that.

I applaud you
How are you enjoying the Clone Wars? They're some of the best star wars ever produced.
@Antoine Gauthier Yeah, especially when you watch the stuff from before it. Just...ignore that business with Vader and Kenobi taping each other's lightsabers together like two senile old men poking their canes at each other.
Good for you!
Watch clone wars dude it's even epic

Vader: “I hate myself”
Bighead From roblox where is this from? I keep seeing this comment but ik it can’t be cannon or else I’d remember. Is it from the comics?
He didnt say I hate myself. He had a battle with darth maul and darth maul replied something along the lines what do you hate enough that made you strong enough to defeat me and Vader replied “Myself”.
When he couldn't save padme he decided to make sure nobody makes him lose his power like darth plagueis had. Thats whybhe kept living. But then he thought to himself why have this power if theres nobody there to save and so he felt alone and the phase of hate ended for his sith journey. And began the journey of suffering and regret. I feel bad

Revenge of the sith is probably the most sad ending to a movie in all of cinema history
@OhShitAnElite true
Anakin is dead, encased in a tomb of dark machinery.
The Dark Father remains, a shadow of his former self.
The Chosen One destined to suffer, manipulated, and abused till death.
That’s why he’s called “Darth Vader.” Darkened father, turned to the side of dark.
I can see Vader approaching the tomb with the destruction taking place in the background, as the Padme's Funeral Theme plays.

He walked close to our queens final resting place and stopped mid way as if respecting the dead
queens space. He stood there for about 3 minutes and reached out to touch the face of the queen as
if he was saying goodbye. He turned around and walked back, but not without turning to me. He looked at
me and said only a few words. Those words puzzle me to this day and I was spared.
The words he told me were 'guard her well'. After that, the walkers and the fighters retreated
as if nothing happened. All that remained were the fires from the AA blasters and the sound of the rain.
Many guards and citizens say it was a fearful day.

This tugged my heartstrings, no 🧢
Was looking for this. Right in the feels
Is it from a Star Wars novel or something else? Just wondering.
All the power you have now, an army at your command, was it worth it?"
Part of him wishes to reach out and stop the slaughter but another part, an angry part of himself, wanted the slaughter to increase in some hollow attempt to tune out the grief in his heart and the failure he felt at not being able to save Padme.
Looking over to her, where she stands as vital and alive as she did so many years before, he can only think of a single response:
"No" She fades away into oblivion with sadness in her wake as Anakin sinks back into himself as once again his grief consumes him and Darth Vader returns. Turning from the tomb of his beloved, he walks away back into the slaughter that his actions have brought about. All his deeds laid bare.
“Yes. I killed you. I killed the child you carried. And I hate myself for all I have done.”
The Imperial March at the end marks the death of Padme, and the birth of Darth Vader, a man trapped in a dark shell, living without love, without a purpose, without anyone left to care about.

Mark Where were you four years ago when I had to be a fan of the prequels secretly so as to not be bullied by the superior OT peeps?
Padme is gone but a part of her lives on, the twins.
then both of them got destroyed again in the new trilogy. fun...
Slanted Glasses destroyed by Disney no surprise but there legacy will go on all the true fans will never forget them
it would be the first time two siblings reshaped the fate of the star wars universe
look no further than Darth Caedus and Jaina Solo Fel
Luke had more of her mother's heart, imo.
@@slantedglasses7242 honestly, I like to think that ALL of us real star wars fans will NOT consider Anything Disney put out as real Canon. For me, this saga ends at Episode 6, and I'm still waiting for the real story
Can we all agree that this theme is absolutely tragic
This theme played at the start of the finale of the Clone Wars.
Not one movie made me cry, except one story. The story of Anakin Skywalker. Now that the clone wars is finished, even more tears. May the Republic never be forgotten
John Williams is just the master. He manages to put woodwinds so smoothly into orchestral pieces without them sounding too predominant. A true artist...
So...that Clone Wars finale huh...?
Honestly....was beautiful in so many ways. With only 12 episodes, in my opinion I felt like the last 3 episodes were rushed. Nonetheless the entire finale season was SOOOOOOOO FUCKIN GOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!!! There is so much I loved about Season 7 but these moments below really stood out to me
I loved how it was from Ashoka nd Rex's point of view (some of my favorite characters in Star Wars) I only wished we got to see more of 1)Padme Skywalker (even her feel Anakin's betrayal) 2)Obi-Wan nd 3)Anakin's rise to The Dark Side from Ashoka's point of view.
Again loved how Star Wars The Clone Wars series ended💯💯💯💯

@@rebellion_nation3003 That wasn't hoth but yeah that last episode is wow showing darth vader walking away from the helmet shows how he's leaving behind everything. He's leaving behind Anakin, Ahsoka, and the clones... and that bird representing the force as well
@Jason Todd What do you mean?
@Jason Solo Yeah. I did
@Jason Solo (counteracts it nd ignites lightsaber) Gotta do better than that
Did you ever hear the tragedy of Padme the fallen Queen? I thought not, it's not a story Lord Vader would tell you.
Old timers on Naboo will tell you of it. It’s an old tale of a young queen of naboo who fell in love with a Jedi Knight. Shortly after, she gave birth to twins and died of a broken heart. Most believe the Jedi Knight died at the end of the war like all the other. However, some believe a much sinister fate befell him.
Tell me more.
Padmé: was it worth it Anakin? Was it?
Anakin: I tried, I did everything in my power to save you!
Padmé: And where did that lead you?
Anakin: ......
Padmé: Anakin just tell me was it worth it?!
Anakin: No...
Padmé’s spirit vanishes.
Darth Vader turns away and makes his way back to his ship and becomes the most feared being in the galaxy once more....
Where did you hear that?
Дам'ня I just thought of it myself. Thought of it whilst listening to the music.
That was actually pretty good, definitely can see something like that in the books or movies. :-)
TheColorOfCaramel thanks! It means a lot! 😁😁

SHEEV: "Well, time to gather those babies then."
One of John Williams' best pieces without a doubt. I know everyone loves the Imperial march but this one is worthy of a requiem.
the dark is generous, and it is patient, and it always wins -- but in the heart of it's strength lies it's one weakness: one lone candle is enough to hold it back. Love is more than a candle. Love can ignite the stars.
the council has given me permission to train you
you will be a Jedi
I promise
May the force be with you James Earl Jones…thank you for all the work you gave us
“Lord Vader, can you hear me?”
“Yes, master.”
“Where is Padme?”
“Is she safe? Is she alright?”
“It seems, in your anger, you killed her.”
“I? I couldn’t have. She was alive! I felt it!”
“NOOOOOOOOO...”
Some people shouldn't bear the burden of passing away. James Earl Jones was one of those people. I hope he was pain-free in the end. May the Force be with him and his family.
Man, I just heard the news not too long ago. Rest in peace to Mr. James Earl Jones, may the Force be with him.
I don't think it is because George Lucus made a point to show while Vader was saved, padme was dieing and when Vader rises it transitions her funeral.
@@dunamls5643 But we don't know how long after his resurrection her funeral took place.
Anakin... Was gone...
@@Bernkastel-S117 Dude, Nail.On.The.Head.... How could he have been there when he was almost dead and painfully having a suit moulded to him..... Some peeps need to watch again and pay attention.... RIP James Earl Jones

I feel like this is the most underrated song from the whole saga! Yes Duel of the Fates and Battle of the Heroes are 10/10 but man, this song has so much emotion and so darn dark.
"She's lost the will to live? What is your degree in? Poetry?!" -Dr. Ball, M.D.
A part of Anakin died along with Padme while the rest of him rose up from the ashes to become the dark lord himself.
The best of him died while the worst of him thrived
And said part then reawaken by his own son.
All Star Wars fans right now since James Earl Jones has passed rest in peace to a legend 💯
One of the best themes in all of Star Wars. The S7 Ep 12 Clone Wars finale just did a callback in the intro and I've been hunting for the remastered version. Thanks very much!
Just rewatched that episode, and it’s the first time I noticed it’s a call back to this theme. What a haunting way to start an episode.
One of the saddest scene in Star Wars... and it is very ironic, that Padme lost her will to live seeing Anakin turned to the dark side, while Anakin struggle in every ways possible to save her from her death. Tragic.
Came here as soon as I learned about Vader's VA
And the last thing I saw on the battle of Naboo was a dark figure walking towards the queen, looking for forgiveness...it stared at me brushing his fingers into a fist and releasing, turned around and walked away, only to be known as Darth Vader...
This picture is absolutely haunting and breathtaking.
I put this over the ending of s7 ep12
And man as if it wasn't sad before its more sad
Vader: I tried, Padme. I really did. I did everything I could.
*Padme's spirit appears* I know, Anakin. And now look at what you've become.
Vader: You have no idea, how much I hate myself because of it. Because of it all. It was not supposed to be like this.
Padme's spirit: Nothing was supposed to be like this. It's outrageous. It's unfair.
Vader: ...
Padme: Anakin, you can still make this right. I still feel the good in you. I-
Vader: Anakin is dead, Padme.
He is no more. Only the Dark Side remains.
Imperial troops appear beside Vader, as he is looking at the abandoned grave, alone. He turns around and leaves silently as rain continues pouring over soldiers feeling an unusual melancholy.
That hit me dude. Damn
Man, those lyrics in the beginning literally sound like, "Why couldn't I save her?"
Damn...
Rest in peace, Lord Vader. You are now one with the Force
There aren't a ton of pictures that are really worth a thousand words. This is one of them...such a tragic and simultaneously passionate image to go with one of the best ots songs ever conceived. Huge credit to Ludovic Bourgeois
Best star wars character ever. RIp Anakin Skywalker
P.S: After 8 years I still can't understand why people hate prequels
Martius pre-equals were great. just some people did not like some dialogues and characters like Jar Jar Binks.
bad dialogue and some character like jar jar made the prequels worse then they could have been
At first I thought it was Vadar with his back faced to Padme then I realized he is looking at her. Then I realized it’s not him waiting for her, it’s her waiting for him.
anyone miss the old storys guys!!!/?????
Thhhhhaaaaaaannnnnk you!
I’ve been looking for this as a compilation FOREVER: particularly cause all the ones out here don’t have THAT ending starting around 3:40 or so!
It’s SO Iconic and says sooooo much about Anakin’s death over to the one & only icon: the dark intombed suited version of Vader that the world knows. 🥺
NOBODY ever includes that! It is everything!!!!! Such a fantastic but overlooked musical scoring moment! #thisCompletesMe : #tears
🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
I always loved how the lyrics of the chorus literaly go "I am now a Sith Lord, but I could not save her".
They actually sing 'Madhurah swehpna, go rahdomah swehpna,
(Oh sweet sleep, rest subduing fear)
Madhurah swehpna, go rahdomah swehpna,
(Oh sweet sleep, rest subduing fear)
Mooritioo, madhurah swehpna.
(Oh death, sweet sleep)'
They don't, it's Sanskrit.
The ROTS soundtrack ALWAYS makes me wish that John Williams had scored ALL of the Harry Potter films!! Just imagine the type of music he would have came up with for the rest of the series!
