This is a remastered extended version of the beautiful track “Anakin’s Betrayal”, made with the remastered Star Wars soundtracks released in 2018 by Disney. To make this extended track I used of course the remastered version of “Anakin’s Betrayal”, the unreleased track “A Path I Can't Follow” and the remastered version of “The Immolation Scene”.
Mind if I ask where you got the artwork of Anakin?

"Aay'han" and "Anakin's Betrayal" are my two favorite works in the entire SW 'verse *sighs* it's always the sad stuff that I'm drawn to the most. This is a stunning compilation that evokes the saddest depths in my heart in remembrance of Etain and her beloved Dar'ika. May the Manda keep them...
I never noticed a difference between the original track and remaster of Anakin's Betrayal, they both sound perfect either way. :)
Revenge of the Sith is like fine wine, it gets better with time
Facts
Agreed, though to be fair, it's due more to the Clone Wars cartoon and games like Jedi Fallen Order why Revenge of the Sith has gotten better over time. There's alot more context and depth concerning the rise of the Empire, Anakin falling to the dark side and Order 66 that truly makes it one of the most tragic events in Star Wars lore.
Because you begin to understand the character and realize you would react the same way. This film shows how important is family and love to a man , especially what we’re capable of doing to protect it.
What does that make the Sequel trilogy then? 😂

Starwars is a masterpiece

I always loved this scene on Mustufar when we see Anakin shed that one single tear he knows what he has done he can feel the weight of what he has caused and the deaths that he has dealt with his saber but he also knows that it is now too late to turn back he did what needed to be done to save Padme
Whatever the cost.................
Ethan Mitchell apparently the reason why he’s crying isn’t cos of all the people he’s killed, but because he’s so far from the dreams and he had and how far he was from the future he imagined his of being a Jedi when he was a boy on tatooine...
Logan Cluer Yeah that was in the novel.
Yes I know but also what led him to the place he is now are the actions I stated in my comment
Here he realizes his inner dragon is consuming him. It's in the novelization. Plus it's his "what have I done?" Moment.
@Salmon Oh look! Another prequel hater who insists that only the originals be considered canon!
Have you ever considered that A New Hope was badly written with terrible dialogue (that the majority of the cast found cringey) and created unintentional plot holes that Lucas hastily filled in in Empire Strikes Back?
The galaxy was ignorant of Vader and never understood him. Kenobi never understood Anakin's reasons for betraying the Jedi. He simply tells Luke what he saw- that his father was seduced to the dark side because it fuelled his lust for power. He didn't know that Anakin had only done it out of sheer desperation to save his wife and had been manipulated into believing that turning to the dark side was the only way to do it. He genuinely believed that Anakin had submitted himself to the servitude of the Sith.
Vader was not truly evil. He had destroyed everything that was close to him for nothing and so lived in constant torment as his feelings of shame, guilt, regret and above all, anger, at what he had done ate away at him. He lived in a mental and physical prison, chained to the dark side and unable to escape. That was until Luke's resolve to redeem him reminded him of his former self and reignited the spark of good within him that everyone else, Sidious included, believed had been extinguished long ago.
With all the varied memories, emotions and opinions flared up around Star Wars, at least one thing can be agreed upon by everyone: John Williams is an absolute wizard in composing.

It saddens me when people hate on the prequels for the CGI, questionable dialogue, and mediocre story-writing. They might not be wrong but they are blinded by hate (ironic) and therefore fail to truly appreciate and understand the story of Anakin Skywalker.
The prequels (at least Ep. 1 & 2) might be 'bad' movies... but they tell an absolutely exceptional, emotional story. The story of Darth Vader will forever be one of the most tragic and well-developed background stories in Cinema history.
The actor performances in Episode 1 & 2 are my only real complaints , other than that I think the movies are great
@@SpecialOrder_937 in my opinion the bad thing was the script
@@dude1473
Yeah
It's not hate, I think. I was born in 1972 and was a teen during the 80s when Episodes V and VI hit the cinemas. That and Indiana Jones, I still remember the day I saw. The impact was unforgettable. The prequels were good, like you say, but nowhere near as impactful, at least in my opinion. Of course it has to do with the fact that, back then, it was a spectacle unseen so far, while today there are many similar movies. But to overcome this fact, they had to do something groundbreaking, which they did not. The prequels are good sci fi movies with a rich universe, no more, no less. But they are not what the originals have been. If you are a millenial, you probably can not understand an old head like me.
@@dimitristripakis7364
I think that sums up the prequels perfectly they are a spectacle , but I think they lack the heart of “good old fashion movie making “ a lot of the scenes in phantom menace and attack of the clones feel very static , and it’s not because the camera doesn’t move but because the set isn’t “living “
I love the prequels for being so bold

Anakins real tragedy is the fact, that the Jedi grew arrogant, far too distant and blind to see the failure of their ways. Having feelings? Anakin was punished for being a human, and not an emotionless monk, who only acts when the "high council" gives premission... and for all of that, every jedi, anakin, and the whole galaxy paid the price

The Jedi had it coming
When I hear this I cry. I cry for the destruction of the jedi. I cry for the pains Asoka Tano and Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda went through. I cry for why Anakin went down this path... It was once said jedi don't give the lives of thousands to save one. Anakin gave the lives of nearly 10,000 of his own kind, to save one girl. And he killed her anyway. Obi-Wan had to almost kill his closest friend and brother. Asoka had to watch her most trusted become her worst enemy. During order 66 and the great jedi purge, it turned brother against brother. Friend against friend. In those times, it was harder to live then it was to die.
Very good comment.

This. This is the reason why Revenge of the Sith is the best Star Wars movie.

Pain. This is how it feels to be Anakin Skywalker, forever.
You threw it all away to save the one you cared about the most, for you feared her dying. but in the end you betrayed her too, and it was you who killed her, in a fit of anger, and that anger turned to hate as your brother, not of blood but of bond when he asked you to stop. You should have listened.
Now you will suffer, as a jedi told you long ago, fear leads to anger which leads to hate which leads to suffering.
Deny it all you want the part of you that is darth vader was not some demon on your shoulder but was always a part of you.
It is you.
Maybe you had died at the end of that duel against the man you once called brother back then and that you were simply in hell you think to yourself often. But you know, that too is a lie. Because hell wouldnt let one of the dambed torture the other dambed.
No, You live on, a sad, pathetic old shell of a man who does nothing except carry out the will of the one who took everything from him, except that's another lie, it was you who took it away from yourself. He mearly pointed you towards this path, you could have said no at any time but didn't. You brought this all on yourself
Suffering. This is how it feels to be Anakin Skywalker, forever
But in the end, you saved the galaxy, and brought balance to the force forever.
“You either die a hero......or live long enough to see yourself become the villain..........”
Never understood the true weight of those words until I rewatched ROS.........

This is how it feels to be Anakin Skywalker, forever:
The first dawn of light in your universe brings pain.
The light burns you. It will always burn you. Part of you will always lie upon black glass sand beside a lake of fire while flames chew at your flesh.
You can hear yourself breathing. It comes hard, and harsh, and it scrapes nerves already raw, but you cannot stop it. You can never stop it. You cannot even slow it down.
You don’t even have lungs anymore.
Mechanisms hardwired into your chest breathe for you. They will pump oxygen into your bloodstream forever.
Lord Vader? Lord Vader, can you hear me?
And you can’t, not in the way you once did. Sensors in the shell that prisons your head trickle meaning directly into your brain.
You open your scorched-pale eyes; optical sensors integrate light and shadow into a hideous simulacrum of the world around you.
Or perhaps the simulacrum is perfect, and it is the world that is hideous.
Padme? Are you here? Are you all right? you try to say, but another voice speaks for you, out from the vocabulator that serves you for burned-away lips and tongue and throat.
Padme? Are you here? Are you all right?
I’m very sorry, Lord Vader. I’m afraid she died. It seems in your anger, you killed her.
This burns hotter than the lava had.
No…no, it is not possible!
You love her. You have always loved her. You could never will her death.
Never.
But you remember…
You remember all of it.
You remember the dragon that you brought Vader forth from your heart to slay. You remember the cold venom in Vader’s blood. You remember the furnace of Vader’s fury, and the black hatred of seizing her throat to silence her lying mouth…
And there is one blazing moment in which you finally understand that there was no dragon. That there was no Vader. That there was only you. Only Anakin Skywalker.
That it was all you. Is you.
Only you.
You did it.
You killed her.
You killed her because, finally, when you could have saved her, when you could have gone away with her, when you could have been thinking about her, you were thinking about yourself…
It is in this blazing moment that you finally understand the trap of the dark side, the final cruelty of the Sith -
Because now yourself is all you will ever have.
And you rage and scream and reach through the Force to crush the shadow who has destroyed you, but you are so far less now than what you were. You are more than half machine, you are like a painter gone blind, a composer gone deaf, you can remember where the power was but the power you can touch is only a memory, and so with all your world-destroying fury it is only droids around you that implode, and equipment, and the table on which you were strapped shatters, and in the end, you cannot touch the shadow.
In the end, you do not even want to.
In the end, the shadow is all you have left.
Because the shadow understands you, the shadow forgives you, the shadow gathers you unto itself-
And within your furnace heart, you burn in your own flame.
This is how it feels to be Anakin Skywalker.

That one tear he shed is the proof that there is still good in him. Clearly the Revenge of the Sith is the darkest Star Wars' film. Winchester-BornIn1973 Or Kevin Kiner? The one who composed The Clone Wars?
feetwithtoes joe honestly clone wars music is very lacking for me, depsite a few themes. Williams is THE star wars composer
I love that the audiobook of Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader plays this track as Vader agonizes over his decisions in ROTS while at the Jedi Temple trying to track rogue Jedi.
This is one of my favourites of yours. 4:00 is a true masterpiece that isnt focused on enough.
Whenever I hear this it feels like I was actually in order 66 and narrowly escaped and now I live with permanent PTSD like all the others who survived.
I understand. I saw what happened at the Jedi Temple, i saw the horrific pain our guy had. He turned on us.. I remember seeing the tears let flow down his face. While looking at me. I quickly escaped
@@YamaDWD I too understand. I was only a youngling when it happened. Seeing the clones turn on us and gun down fellow Jedi.....it was a wonder I escaped alive.
Say what you want about the prequels, but their soundtracks were perfection.
No piece of fiction has ever come close to this moment. Order 66 was such a defining moment for the Star Wars canon, one that still carries its importance to this day. All it takes is a brief mention of this tragedy, and all who are familiar share a chill that runs down their spines.
Somebody wrote this somewhere: "When you take your girlfriend to your best's friends house for the first time and her phone connects automatically to his wifi network". Cracked me up.
Pure tragedy, this song is. What a masterpiece, you can feel the despair, the love but then ALAS! It is clouded by evil disguised as love, then finally, unchangeable consequences. Dark deeds and a future that is grim.
Well said...
I'm not ready for clone wars to hurt me with this...
Esta melodia refleja dolor y sufrimiento. Es una de los mejores temas de la saga.
Si senior.
"Stay back! Find him.... find him... Fives... Find him, FIVES!!" *shoots Ahsoka*
The Fallen Jedi, Anakin Skywalker.
2 secs and my heart is crushed. When I just watched the movie it never hurt so much, but after watching the clone wars, and playing the fallen order and playing through order 66 this music just hits way to hard
This is what makes prequels so great. Prequels will be in my ❤forever
Even without seeing the scene the music causes the scenes flash in my head
So it begins...
(season 7, episode 11 of the Clone Wars)
And so it ends...
(Season 7, episode 12 of the clone wars
“You were my brother Anakin...I loved you” - Obiwan. I can hear this speech during this song. Such a powerful scene. Thank you George Lucas and team.
“I’ve tried to fight the darkness within me. I fought it with all my strength and it overwhelmed me. I thought i had people at my side, People i could count on... But no one was there. I fought this thing Alone for weeks on end to the point it almost killed me but now i realized, The Darkness in my head,in my mind, in my dreams, The Person who treated me like a slave... Was my only friend. It cared about me in the wrong way... So i embraced the dark side, I let him guide me down that path and now i am haunted by it but i made my choice to join it... I am now one with the dark side and i can not leave it nor will i.”
Allosauria Jurassicus what is this from
Ranger CK I wrote this in a journal recently. I was with an abusive person that luckily i got out from.
@@Matt.Attack8 Really cringe ngl, keep it in your diary.
Brandon M 💀💀💀
Imagine typing ‘cringe’ to someone about their abuse? Wow, heartless human being.
Star Wars truly has some of the best music of any franchise. Especially the Prequels. Anakin's story is heartbreaking and the music just makes it even more depressing
My take on prequels vs sequels:
The prequels introduced new lore and a new storyline to the franchise. The rich universe of Star Wars was explored throughout the three prequels - from Mustafar, to Coruscant, to Felucia, and don't get me started on the Clone Wars (which I count as a prequel in a sense). They answered our questions of what happened to the Jedi, what happened to Darth Vader, and how the Empire rose. Even though there are some thing I don't like too much, each issue resolves itself for me at one point or another.
The sequels, while introducing new lore to Star Wars, didn't feel fresh, or original. they seemed to repeat old storylines and cliches. They screwed over some of our most loved characters, as well as completely disregarding the EU. I see that as a disrespect and a final "Fuck you, let's see your work burn, Georgie". In my eyes, ignoring the EU was Disney fully taking over Star Wars, practically yelling, "Your work - it's our money now, George. The EU seems too hard to copyright, so kiss years of work goodbye."
So yeah, prequels for the win :)
Hands down this is my favorite specific score out of all the Star Wars movies.
Instant tears
It will be done my lord
I can feel that the Force is strong with this theme, I feel it...
John Williams is an absolute genius. The best film composer.
2:47 Hey commander gree... So no head?
my favourite theme for valentines: )
I want this music and song in the new Obi Wan series. One of my favorite Star Wars songs.
Ahoska & Maul: *hear's both Mace Windu and Anakin demise and sidious rise to power and the creation of Darth Vader
Ahoska: anakin
lord sidious: Commander Rex execute order 66
Rex: Yes lord sidious.
Ahoska: Rex! It's Anakin. I feel that something wrong happen to him.
Rex: *tries to fight back order 66 but can't and drops his helment*
Ahoska: Rex?
Rex: No! I'll do it.
Ahoska: what's happing?
Rex: Stay back? *as he holding back tears* Find him! FIND FIVE'S! *as tears start to build up as he pulls the triggers on both his pistol*
psst, Rex was a Captain not a commander
@@hondacivic8222 Rex was promoted just before the siege of mandalore so he could take half the 501st with him to help Ahsoka
@@hondacivic8222 psst watch season 7 of Clone Wars you little dumbass
Listening to this Soundtrack makes me wanna Cry ngl, the story of SW is incredible
ROTS has one of the best overall movie soundtracks ever.
this actually brings me to tears
Me: Sees my favorite protagonist become my favorite antagonist.
Also me: "I see this as an absolute win".
This music on its own just Represents the True sadness of order 66 something many Non star
Wars fans would not be able to understand. By hearing this music it can give you the feeling of what order 66 did and the turn to the darkside of Anakin
Anakin's Betrayal is by far one of my favourite themes of all Star Wars. Just amazing.
I loved Revenge of the Sith as a kid in 2005 for all the action and the general storyline. Fifteen years later, I love it for different reasons; an incredible tragedy about a man manipulated into losing everything and everyone he ever cared about, left only with his crippled body and hatred of everything and everyone around him.
