Forgot That Im From The City
Probably the most beautiful film about Wrocław made by a foreigner!
A great combination of stories about the history of the city with the presentation of the most important tourist attractions. I admire the knowledge about Wrocław.
You would be a good tourist guide...
Best wishes
Thank you Piotr, that is a very flattering comment!😇
You are the only British tourist whose reports are full of passion and history. I still regret that you have so few subscribers. You know what I'm writing about. The huge sculpture made of inflatable sheet metal on Daliowa Island is the work of Oskar Zięta. The construction of this ultra-light structure is possible thanks to the use of an innovative technology invented by Oskar Zięta - FiDU, i.e. 'Freie Innen Druck Umformung'. It allows for the deformation of elements made of two parts of steel sheet welded together. By 'inflating' with compressed air, metal forms become stable and durable, while maintaining lightness. This work became an artistic manifesto of this innovative technology. The Centennial Hall in Wrocław starred in the film 'The Hunger Games'. The Ballad of Birds and Snakes - the arena of the Hunger Games.
An anecdote to the Panorama of Racławice. One of the authors of this painting is Jan Styka. He is known for his religious paintings. Once he fell on his knees in front of a white canvas and screamed loudly.
-My God, how am I supposed to paint you?!
Here the heavens opened and God spoke:
- Styka, don't kneel, just paint me well.
Thank you for the support and comment! Some interesting information there too, I appreciate it 😇
Hey Ben, just subbed and I can't believe you only have 9k subs, you deserve way more! I'm a Polish lad living in the UK (moved when I was 7) and a 17 year old entrepreneur. I've been recently thinking of moving back to my family in Poland who live in Korzensko which is a village near Wroclaw. This video has sold it to me, top notch quality and shots plus I learnt some great facts. Seeing the Polish march of independence the other day made me feel so proud to be Polish where I used to hate being different to all the other kids here in the UK. I live in Grimsby and if you've ever been here you will understand that its probably the main factor that makes me want to go back but then again most UK towns are like Grimsby so you'll know what I mean, also I feel like the government do not care for their people and the country as a whole but thats a whole other topic. Thanks for making this video Ben, it really touched my heart and I cannot wait to turn 18 and move back!
Tak, dziękuję, Ben 🙏
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that 😊
Thank you, Ben!! Your videos NEVER disappoint! Now I want to visit Poland! Thanks, again!!
Thank you so much Michael. Glad you enjoyed 😊
When I see Poland, I watch immediately 😂
Ha, simple as that!😁
Me too :)
we are from detroit michigan area and have been to warclaw twice. We to enjoy that city. Also Gdansk, Poznan, Krakow, Lublin, Zakopane and others. We spent 2 months there in the spring. It was our 3rd time to Poland and we also loved it. Enjoyed this video. You gave me new things to see on our next trip there. THANKS, Mitch
Thanks Mitch. I’m here now again for the 3rd time, still plenty of things to tick off. What a wonderful city!
Pondering on buying a place in Poland, looks amazing.
That would be amazing! Where you thinking?
Dobra robota Ben.Zapraszamy więcej takich Gości jak Ty.
Dziękuję!
Hi Ben, thanks for this video of your exploration of Wroclaw Poland. Like usual, the footage, your narration and music were all top notch.
Seeing cities like Wroclaw Poland show the resilience of the Polish people. After so many of these cities were destroyed in World War II, you would not know by looking at them as they look like a scene out of a Story book. Really enjoyed all of the rich Pastel colors on all of the historic buildings.
Glad you caught on film the bullet holes in the concrete of the University as a remembrance of the people that lost their lives there in World War II.
Looking forward to hearing about your Channel Membership as I think all of your work is top notch. Hopefully it will be something I can afford, as I would like to support all of the time and energy you put into creating beautiful videos for us to enjoy.
Take Care until next video Ben.
Thank you very much for the comment as always Ben. It really is incredible to think how much destruction these cities faced. It would be fascinating to go back in time and compare. Wroclaw really is a special city.
I appreciate that, if people could support me that would mean the world, and help me to push further and make more videos going into the future too!
Thanks again, Ben 😊
TH-cam algorithms brought us together. I’ve been travelling to Poland for many years, many times, to many cities. It’s and incredible country.
I’ve enjoyed binging on your vids - great channel, excellent drone work and you’ve done a class job repping Poland.
Stick with it, you’ll get the followers.
Subbed.
Hello and welcome 👋
Glad it isn't just me who loves Poland. Definitely up at the top of the list for me. Nice to know you've enjoyed binging my vids :)
Appreciate the support mate, take care
Such a lovely video. I want to go there now. Thank you so much for your clear easy to,understand narration. 😂
Thanks for another brilliant tour of this ancient, beautiful Polish city, Ben. Really interesting and beautifully presented.
Thanks for watching Ron, glad you enjoyed!
Great video, looking forward to visitign some day!
Hello Ben !!
I hope you won't take it as something bad from me for calling you by your first name. My name is Bogdan, I'm a Pole who has been living in Canada for a long time and I'm 78 years old. When I accidentally found your channel and watched your video about Wroclaw, I immediately got a thumbs up and subscribed to your channel. Thank you for the objective report from your stay in Poland. I like to listen to and watch both positive and negative opinions of every tourist, and it doesn't matter from which corner of the world they came to Poland as a student, to work or as a tourist. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your videos and verbal reports and assessment. I watch every video you share with us and I'm waiting for the next one. Greetings from Toronto and I wish you good health, Bogdan.
Dzień dobry! Of course you can call me Ben. Wroclaw is a wonderful city, one of my favourites. I'm actually heading back for the 3rd time next week :)
Glad you enjoyed it and it's very nice to know you are obviously very passionate about your home! It's great to have you on board, hope to hear from you on my other videos 😁 Take care Bogdan!
Beautiful historical architecture 😊
Yes, such a beautiful city!

Piekny film o Polsce z piękną muzyką w tle. Opowiedziane przepieknie z polska historia. Dziekuje i pozdrawiam
Thank you very much for your comment 😊
Always a great day when you post a new video. Thank you for your diligence. You are by far the best travel vlogger. And Poland was a bonus!
WOW that's some compliment. Thanks Phil, I'm glad you enjoy!
Poland is beautiful and safe...have a nice food is well
Agreed!
I just returned to the US from Wroclaw a week ago. It is a wonderful city to visit, and the food and people are great. Thanx for the info on the Dwarfs. I was wondering about them.
Glad you enjoyed it, It is an interesting story about the dwarfs
Thank you for this beautiful video. I’m looking forward to see Wrocław soon 😁
Thanks you Shannen! Enjoy our visit to Wroclaw 😇
Great video as always, Ben. I don’t understand how your channel doesn’t have more subs given the time and effort you put into your content. That’s the TH-cam algorithm for you I guess.
I appreciate that. It's nice to know the work and effort is noticed. Hopefully one day!
I am visiting Wroclaw very soon, great informative video, I really enjoyed it.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
Hi, Ben! Thank you for your amazing videos you are doing! I am going to Wroclaw these days so I found out your videos and they are really great! Take care and have a nice day. Dominika from Prague
Thank you Dominika! I visited Prague from Wroclaw a couple of years ago. Have a great trip
Wroclaw I am coming in September❤...absolutely beautiful city🎉
Fantastic, have an amazing time!
Hello Ben,
Finally someone who knows how to produce a proper travel guide. Very well done. We are going to this wonderful city in November for the Christmas market. Keep up the good work and keep on traveling.
Thank you Harry! I appreciate that, have a fantastic trip. You’ll love the city
Markets start on the 29th - I’ll see you there
Thanks for this nice video
I need to go to Wrocław like now!! Thanks once again for a great vid 🙂↔️👊🏻
Yesss you need to visit! Thanks Liza 😇😁
Hey Ben - going to be in Poland for 3 months from March 2025 - really enjoyed this video and looking forward to watching others. Awesome job
Thanks! That's a long while - where in Poland will you be based? Enjoy your trip :) Amazing country
I love your videos and I am also a huge fan of Poland. I've been visiting for years. And well done for getting the pronunciation of the city correct. (Vrotswaf)
Thank you Barry, appreciate that!
I hope Ben releases more Poland content!
Simply fantastic video❤
Glad you enjoyed!
Thanks for sharing your trip to Poland! It's inspired me to plan my own trip next week. I haven’t thought of Poland as a place for travel but I’m definitely going there now.
@@AllanSLarsen I’m glad to hear that, not many think much of Poland. It’s one of my favourite countries, so enjoy!
Thanks for sharing this beautiful city
You're very welcome!
Well, in recent years, Poles themselves have discovered Wrocław :), not to mention foreigners. I'm glad you like it in my homeland.
Poland is so beautiful. My mother went on a USO tour there. I wish you could linger just a little longer on your shots. It's difficult to take it all in so quickly. How in the world could you be single unless you are just traveling all of the time!? lol. Thanks!
That sounds exciting! And I'll keep that in mind, I think I worry a bit while editing too much, trying to keep it engaging but I could probably get the balance better by slowing down in parts! And thank you!🥹😅
Thank You for Your video. 😉👍
Nice video Ben. I will try to emulate some of your shooting and presenting style in my travel videos. It’s really nice.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed and can learn something :)
Great guide for a great city! I plan to film there soon :)
Thank you! Good luck with the filming 😊
Excellent video Ben,informative and funny at the same time, enjoy your travels my friend.
Glad you enjoyed. Thank you :)
great video! We just added it to our list and will be there in 2 weeks!
Amazing. I hope you enjoy, Wroclaw truly is a wonderful city!
Great videos and great city.
Thank you!
I thought the fact that Wroclaw Poland was considered the Venice of Poland was very interesting. All of the bridges and water ways look stunning.
Yep, didn't realise how many bridges there were!
You are so close to Poznan (2h train ride) - then another 2h to Torun - Highly recommended - enjoy!
Next Sunday... 👀
I loved Wroclaw when I visited last year. A few things you didn't mention which are worth visiting are the Sky Tower for brilliant views over the city and the botanical gardens near the cathedral . It's a lovely city.
Thanks for mentioning. I was going to try the botanical gardens but it wasn't open yet when I was nearby!
I enjoyed your playful narration in this video!
Thank you Carolina!😇
I went there in 2018 and accidentally got my flight dates mixed up and spent an extra day there after turning up at the airport at 5am to find the flight wasn’t until the next day (easy mistake to make when you’ve been travelling for 2 weeks).
Ended up going back into the city but decided I couldn’t go to the cheap hostel again because the owner had drove me to the airport and it would have looked weird if I’d gone back 😂
I get your dilemma 😂 certainly one to remember haha. thankfully there's plenty affordable and nice places to stay in Wroclaw
Excellent video Ben, very informative. Wroclaw is so underrated as a city, it was the first place I visited in Poland. I stayed right by cathedral island and it was amazing. Definitely agree about getting out early to avoid the crowds, I found myself wondering round Vienna at 6am the other day. So peaceful and no crowds of people on my photos 😂
Thanks again David! For sure, Wroclaw is a fantastic city. And so true, it’s a complete different experience isn’t it.
Wish I wasn’t so tired / burnt out when I was last in Vienna so I could’ve enjoyed it more! Did you have a good time?
@@BenRobson123 Yes it's been amazing, so much to see and do. It's up there with one of the best cities I have visited. Did three day's in Vienna, a day in Salzburg and a short trip for a few hours to Bratislava. Flying back home to Liverpool today and already planning the next trip. Thinking of doing Riga, Tallin, Helsinki. Will give your videos another watch for some ideas 😃
@@David_Dibbert sounds fantastic! The architecture in Vienna seriously is next level. Riga is lush too, Tallin is great at Christmas. Safe travels back home!
We do care about facts, as long as they're facts. Good job!
Thank you! :)
I stumbled on your video and find I’m using you recommendations to plan my trip. Very informative and look forward to Wrocław and The Salt Mine I found of yours also. Thank you for bring to my attention .
Amazing, I'm glad it's proving helping Renata. Hope you enjoyed the other videos too :)
thanks for a great video! Love your personality!
Thank you!😊
I live in Wrocław !! ❤❤❤
Walking around aimlessly is what me and my friends do everytime we hang out . Your video is really nice and It shows Wrocław really well in my opinion, also I love the addition of history in the video. Dspecially about "Pomarańczowa Alternatywa"(Orange alternative). If it comes to the Summer fair. its way smaller than the christmas one, which is really popular to go to atleast once a year and get that years mug (my family has those mugs since 2013ish, and we have atleast one every year). Also for the next time you come to Wrocław, I recomend you to go to cafes if thats your thing, we have a ton of them around. My friend goes around all of them and rates them in his spare time . The ones that he recomends the most are kawastrofa, which isnt that far away from main square. They have amazing coffe and vegan cakes, as well as the photo cafe near Universytet Wrocławski. :D
@@Almine_ thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed the video! Wroclaw is such a great city to just wander around, so pretty.
I’m actually heading back to Wroclaw next month for the 3rd time with my friend. I never thought I’d go back to the same place twice never mind 3 times!
Very nice video!!!👍 Want only to add that in this big Centennial Hall was filmed part of the newest Hunger Games film: The ballad of songbirds and snakes.
Thank you! Ooh that’s interesting, I didn’t know that. Cool fact 😊
Great narration! Really enjoyed your video!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed
When I send a Christmas card to a cousin who is semi-retired at the university there, I'll let him know that I saw this enticing video of Wroclaw!
That's nice mate, I appreciate that! I just see you've joined as a member too, welcome to the gang! Nice to have you on board 😁😇
Another great Video Ben. Looking forward to the rest.
Thank you! Another coming out Sunday fingers crossed 🤞😇
Oh yes. What a city. It’s so hard to choose a favourite in Poland. Gdansk. Krakow. Warsaw Wrocław. All fabulous. I’m starting a trip next month. Nuremberg. Salzburg (eagles nest ) . Budapest and Vienna can’t wait
I know what you mate, I love Gdansk, Krakow and Wroclaw. Too hard to pick a favourite! Though I prefer those than Warsaw.
That's a class trip, how long are you away? I'd like to do Nuremberg and Eagles Nest. Wolf's Lair was class,, you'd like it.
@@BenRobson123 Hi Ben. 2 half weeks. Yes I have to do wolfs lair. I tried when was in Gdansk but seemed hard with public transport. Think I will try from Warsaw next time. And oh the eagles nest is unbelievable. The views are insane. Definitely recommend. The bus up is scary 😂 but you can hike too
Amazing job!
Thank you!
Great video. I liked Wroclaw but it was the 6th polish city I had seen in a 3 week Poland trip so was flagging at that point. But fives me an excuse to go again
Yeah sometimes it’s hard to appreciate somewhere after such a busy trip!
Beautiful
Sure is!
Another great video as always. Loved watching and bringing back great memories of being there myself. looking forward to the next one.
Such a great city. Thanks Chris!
Come and visit Bielsko-Biała along with mountains around it (and maybe some smaller towns like Żywiec, Pszczyna or Wisła). It's not as famous as Zakopane but I think also worth a visit.
Well done. U got my sub
Thank you & welcome to the club!🥳
Hi,
great video, saw you roaming mostly in city center, what about:
- court building (castle lookalike)
- zoo
- botanical garden
- 'hogwart' university of technology building faculty of architecture
- polinka (cable railway)
- hydropolis
- lots of museums (national museum, arsenal etc.)
TIckets to panorama racławicka are available online, I strongly suggest you to buy it in advance the place is definitely 'must visit'
Thank you for the extra recommendations
Hi Ben , Such a great video as always! Your photos are phenomenal keep up the awesome work !!
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed 😇
Wroclaw is the most beautiful City in Poland 🇵🇱
You might be right!
Excellent photography, look better than when I was there in December. Found Polish girls very pleasant and friendly, the younger boys not so.
Everything always looks better in the sun!
Wrocław, my home town, I love it. Greetings from Down Under.
👋😄
Thank you. Nice vdo. Tomorrow i will go to cathedral island. What time does that guy light the lamp?
Hi Ben. only recently came across you whilst searching out Wroclaw, we go tomorrow.
Love your style and info. I notice you don’t seem to mention transport in your vlogs as an old fart this is important to me. For instance in Wroclaw, on tram or bus, over 65s can travel for free without a ticket but must be able to produce an age identifier if asked passport is perfect. Keep up the great work.
Hi there, apologies for the slow reply. I hope you had a fantastic trip to Wroclaw, truly a special city!
@@BenRobson123 had a fabulous time. The highlight being the fountains at Centennial Hall, at night.
Great video as always happy to support you in the future when that’s up and running, but also do you have a link for that hoodie as I may have to treat my self 😊
Thank you! And I don’t think so, I’ve just checked online but can’t find it. My ex-girlfriend bought me it a few years back 😅
Fair - St John's / Midsummer Fair. . Mainly June. Xmas Fair - late November till early January. Good jobbing. X - native
Another good one lad!
Thanks Scott mate!
Awesome video 🎉
Thank you!
Recently I have been interested in visiting Poland. Do you recommend it? I'd like to visit the salt mine near Krakow.
Absolutely, I love Poland. The Salt mines are fantastic, I have a video of it on my channel if it’s of interest 😊
It's time to get to know smaller Polish towns such as Toruń, Lublin, Tarnów, Sandomierz or Zielona Góra.
Poznan Poznan Poznan ;)
❤😊
Worclaw was one of the last German city to fall when it was called Breslau.so there was a lot of fighting in the city between the soviets and germany.that is how they're is bullet holes in buildings still
Visited there 8 days ago, as a Brazilian I would totally live there, such a beautiful place
It’s great isn’t it! Glad you enjoyed it
Ahh it's a shame I missed these. They look beautiful! Thank you for letting me know
@@BenRobson123 Szkoda, tym bardziej że na ostatnim twoim ujęciu wejście do kościoła było kilka metrów za twoimi plecami. Wstęp bezpłatny a barokowe wnętrze jest oszałamiające. Do aula leopoldina miałeś 1 minutę piechotą. Pozdrawiam
So this is on my list. Is it 3 nights/2 days as id cover Poznan at the same time
I’d recommend 2 full days for Wroclaw, and 2 full days for Poznan if you can! Maybe even an extra day for Wroclaw if possible
Church before the cathedral - that's in fact double church - St Cross & St Bartholomew. One catholic , another Greek Catholic.
Breslau wasn't occupied during the WWII as it was a German city.
Wroclaw was a German city and called Breslau until 1945, when all 650,000 German inhabitants were expelled, like the other 3.4 million Germans from surrounding Silesia. This makes Wroclaw, formerly Breslau, the largest city on earth, of which the entirety of its population was expelled. They all had to flee beyond the newly established border river, the Lusatian Neisse. All nice old buildings in Wroclaw from before 1945 were either built by Germans or rebuilt by Poles after the war. The city was basically a German-speaking city from around 1300 till 1945. The descendants of the Slavic founders of the village from before 1300 were of course also expelled in 1945 since they had become German-speaking over time. One wonders what they did with the extensive German graveyards with all the German graves. The old houses of the city keep wondering why they don't understand the new inhabitants anymore. And therefore, it is disrespectful to talk about this city exclusively in a Polish context because most of the architecture you admire there, are the buildings from before 1945.
German architecture as it was Breslau until the Allies gave it to Poland at the end of WW2 as part of the Oder -Neisse border. It was never occupied by Germany - it was German !
Whats the most used sign in Wrocław?
"Die Instandsetzung dieses Gebäudes wurde aus Fördermitteln der Bundesrepublik Deutschland finanziert"
😂😂

Wrocław is propebbly the most beautiful city in Poland because of influences of Czech , Poland and Germany you can see there.
Yes, it’s certainly up there!
Don’t advertise our city. We don’t want more newcomers😂
Too late, sorry 🥲
