Oscypek is mainly made from sheep's milk. This is what happens in summer when sheep graze in the mountains. Then it is almost 100% sheep milk. But in winter, this cheese is made from almost 80% cow's milk. There is a huge difference in taste in summer and winter.

This is typical of north-eastern Poland and Lithuania. It's made of egg mass that is poured onto a rotating spit. Large cities in Poland have abandoned fireworks displays as part of savings and animal-friendly policies.

Hi loves! It's nice to see you in my city again - especially Charlie and the Rob's parents! All the best in 2024 and special birthday wishes for mom! I'm glad you had a nice time at the Christmas market, although I must admit that I'm glad it's over 😜 I work almost right in the market square (next to the large church of St. Elizabeth) and every day on my way home I have to wade through crowds of tourists. That's why, knowing you were there, I didn't even try to look for you - there was no chance in this crowd! As for the restaurant that treated you so badly on New Year's Eve - let's give its name - I will never take my guests there! The second thing is fireworks. Let me explain why the city authorities do not organize them. For several years, the city has been running a campaign encouraging people to give up fireworks on New Year's Eve for the sake of animal welfare - both domestic and wild. Therefore, it would be hypocritical of the city authorities to organize a fireworks show at the same time. By the way - apparently the authorities in Rome have completely banned fireworks. I hug you all tightly and invite you to Wrocław as often as possible - maybe I will finally be able to meet you. I also encourage Charlie to learn Polish - if Rob is doing so well, you can do just as well! All the best, my dears!
P.S. It looks like flights on the Bournemouth - Wrocław route have been restored. It's great! When I was in the UK I lived in Poole and this airline was like a tram for my home 😊
Some local authorities replace fireworks with laser shows which can be beautiful and silent (animal, and pregnant women 🤪 friendly) at the same time.
this animal propaganda made up story is mostly nonsense, because while firework (especially an organized one) is quite local, a night with 'natural' thunder and lightning strikes all the night is usually over a wider area - and obviously part of the nature. but nothing against a good laser show!

If you guys loved Wroclaw I recommend you to visit Toruń as well, last time I went there because of job reasons for the first time in my life and it was amazingly surprising for me, super cheap, friendly people, beautifull Old Town, great food and cool clubs :D

about those christmass cups, every year they are with different graphics and colour but they always looks like boot/shoe, my fiance is collecting them and have all of them.

oryginal oscypek is made of sheeps milk. Originals are available closer to Tatra mountain. In rest of our country you can buy so called "krówskie" - made of cows milk. So thats a question od source...even in Zakopane , cows milk oscypek happens ;-)
