Cracking video as all Hornby Mag videos are in my opinion. Mike is a natural presenter and always draws the best from the 'interviewee' . Also really encouraging to hear the depth of knowledge Richard has about the loco and the models.
Wow Mike, what a great episode, Richard is at his best, so good to see him relaxing with someone like yourself. Great insight into the class 25, well done Hornby Magazine and Bachmann
thank you both for a really detailed product intro, Mike your presenter skills as usual are fantastic, Richard your product knowledge came across as 1st class, I have older class 25's which really look dated compared to these, my only complaint would be the cost of entry level engines, at nearly £200.oo they will not be available to younger or to older people who are interested in the hobby, as we are all aware the limits to the amounts we can spend on the hobby in most cases is not finite, but really did enjoy this presentation
Nice to look at, but well well out of my price range now. My only hope is that the old ones will now filter down onto ebay! Really nice models though. Good luck with them!!!
Well I just sold my Bachmann original 24 & 25 to a dealer in excellent condition so you could try him Going Loco both BR green ones. Im getting an SLW one
As you have the main Bachmann man there is there any chance you can ask him if Bachmann will ever re-release all their exclusive RTC coaches again, they have the biggest and best back catalogue of them, also a class 37 in Network Rail yellow in the newly tooled model along with the Europhoenix silver livery?
@@hornbymag As rare as it is to get a reply from you I’m sorry I didn’t pay enough attention to this announcement, the volume on my device was too low. 😔
D5275 to D5279 were built with uprated engines specifically for the Tunstead to Northwich limestone workings of 18 hoppers. When they left Deansgate Junction they had to be garanteed a run through Hale, Ashley & Mobberley or they would stall on the bank, and, boy did they dance on the track. My husband usd to work in Skelton Junction Signal Box.
Looks good. Will the deluxe models have the automatic couplers like the 31s? Good to hear about a previously announced project. Any news on the Turbostars and the conical ended TTAs?
This is our GCR layout. We built it a few years ago and we use it to film all our OO Gauge tests, reviews and sound demonstrations. While we did exhibit it for a while, it's days of getting out are over and it's now permanently located in our studio.
Still don't know, when they've Brought out a 24/1 with headcode box and now these, they've skirted over bringing out a class 25/0?? An own goal by bachmann,as no one has brought one out, they could've cornered the market
TT:120 is growing and the range from Hornby is starting to expand. No doubt in the future other manufacturers will start to produce in this scale and we're sure the Class 25's will happen
I remember when the first sound fitted locos were £200 ish. £300 plus, getting a bit silly. I can't see how it will attract people to the hobby on a tight budget. I guess it will be DC using first generation Bachmann, Hornby etc. A decent 5 pole 25 for £70.
Bachamnn have achieved near-perfection, all that is wrong is 16.5mm gauge / not 18.83mm. Note the 8F 48045 with a Fowler tender, are Bachmann to produce an 8F?
Frustrating that Bachmann have released another class 25 to the market, as have Heljan and SLW. Appreciated these take years to plan but the market has been flooded with same type products, glad I moved to O gauge!
The new models look superb, it will be interesting to hear the sound in person, instead of this video, if the SFX models look and sound the biz, I will purchase these instead of SLW’s class 25’s
15 minutes of Proudman just awkwardly talking to Mike about the Rat's individual detail differences, sure it's all well & nice but I want to see actual close up visuals of the model for me to get an understanding of what those differences are... Like the 31 far too much waffling going on, that convo could be easily condensed into 10 minutes or less...
Basically some have 2 underframe tanks some don't. The ones that don't also don't have steps on the side. Later ones have different cab fronts to eaflier ones. The later ones don't have body side grills as they are on the roof.....

Whose wobbley ? bachmanns' class 25, your track or the cameraman?

Excellent video
Very nice Mike and well done for the 1st show went on Saturday and realy enjoyed it well done😁👍
Thank you for coming to Model World Live 😊We're grateful for the feedback and we're already looking into an even bigger 2025 😎

This class 31 looks amazing, will there ever be a RTC livery model or will it be a club exclusive?
These are the Class 25's, not the 31s
I don't think the Bachmann man is STILL there. Maybe it was a live broadcast, pretty slick if it was 😂
@@hornbymag As rare as it is to get a reply from you I’m sorry I didn’t pay enough attention to this announcement, the volume on my device was too low. 😔
Will Bachman do a model of the class 25 Sybilla on the NYMR
Mike where do you get the black cloth from for the baseboard surrounding please
Really great discussion and model. Can I suggest turn up the mic volume - both of you are super quiet. cheers.
That is looking really nice!
Looking good 👍
Nice looking model.
Sounds like the zimo soundfile used in SLW 25?

My happiest railway memories. They absolutely screamed up the curves to Hale station near where I lived. Fantastic days.
Looks good. Will the deluxe models have the automatic couplers like the 31s?
Good to hear about a previously announced project. Any news on the Turbostars and the conical ended TTAs?
Conical ended TTAs have been cancelled, I think.
Slightly off topic what layout is that? Where can I see more pics of it?

@@hornbymag Very exquisite layout.
@@hornbymag I remember seeing the 1st episode and forgot all about it. Didn't know it had been that long ago!
@@LemartesLogistics Yes, quite some time ago now. 3 or 4 years - wow! 😯

Good looking loco's but release one in TT

The 8F is one of the Hornby models that was produced many years ago. Bachmann are yet to produce an 8F in 'OO' gauge

Hmm.so weve had this.hope tomorrows announcement wont dwell too long on these 25s to detriment of other new announcements........

Nice but what about N Gauge getting some new BR loco's heavily OO biased sadly!!
Bachmann have their Sumer 2024 announcement today (1/5/24)
Extremely good old ones are now on ebay , I just got 2 in excellent condition for £70 each…no way I’d ever buy this
The SLW 25 is a better loco
The 25s from Rail Exclusive are far superior.

What he also didn't point out is that there are 2 different sized fuel tanks. To get the best source of info, DerbySulzers is the website to go to.
Was not the greatest video in the world
A lot of bellybutton on display from 2.10 onwards!
