@@CecilValeProductions Enlighten me please, what is not proper about the LNWR condition 'Lucknow' model released via Rails of Sheffield please? I'm early days into my own personal research regarding the LNWR so not quite up on it all.
@@ExplosiveCookie I've read on forums elsewhere that Lucknow is modelled in pre-1895 condition, having no coal rails on the tender which would have been present at the period these coaches come from. I'm no expert on the LNWR myself, though, so I'd appreciate if someone else could elaborate more clearly on what discrepancies there are. I'd love a rerun of the Precedents in any LNWR condition, though; I got a Hardwicke from the NRM but really would've loved a Lucknow had I the chance to get one. By the time I learned of them they were all sold out.
@@redtrain9419 If it's just the coal rails then that's an easy modification at least - in regards to another run, as it was a commission originally I believe Bachmanns contracts give 4 years exclusivity to the commissioner and then they can go into Bachmanns general range - so I wouldn't be surprised if we get another run of these announced to go with the coaches.
I have modelled LNWR for thirty years, it would have been nice to have these years ago. Kit building and painting was the only way to go. I started because I love the livery.
How wonderful!! Best Bachmann announcement for years. I will try to save up to buy a rake of each livery. Maybe we'll get a George V 4-4-0 or a Prince of Wales 4-6-0 to haul them???
Yes! Between these and the Rapido Evolution non-corridors I might go bankrupt... Just need more LNWR condition locos now to go with these e.g George V or Claughton
11:14 Folks, that is not the same Midland 1P that Bachmann have done before. It's technically not even the same class. I think we may be in for a bit of a treat in a few weeks.
I'm hoping that releases like this from Bachmann and others might lead to future exhibitions not being inundated with layouts exclusively set in the 1950s and 1960s 😅 Exciting release for me - if they were on Liverpool and Manchester formations in LNWR days, does that mean they went to Fleetwood as well? They do look lovely 😍
They look fantastic, my name is on a set. It's about time we had some more pre-grouping stock, and locos, please. Mathew Stirlings Hull and Barnsley 4-4-0 comes to mind.
'...back to Tri-ang' which of course Hornby really is, there's no Meccano in its DNA, as to close coupling, agreed, it does let them down but great models though.
Great detail on these, just a shame about the massive gap between the gangways. If only manufacturers could produce very flexible rubber and magnetic gangways to completely bridge the gap. The paper ones you can buy look naff.
I'm trying to stay very disciplined and desist from ordering anything that isn't Southern Railway or Region, but that rake of LNWR carriages is sorely tempting....help!
I saw an LNW coach in faded maroon in departmental use as late as 1968 opposite the Old Station at Watford (just north of the St.Albans Road bridge)...still on 'the Premier Line'.
My Christmas and bday money was going to an Accurascale 5700 but I need these for my precedent soooo These look way better than what I can possibly do with my rake of ratio ones
These look really nice. In the modern era thinking outside the box , the odd one could be included in a land cruise type luxury train pulled by a class 37 in the Scottish Highlands.
Does this mean we can expect to see more LNWR locos....? Wouldnt take much adjustment of tooling from previous models (Coal Tank, Super D, Precedent) given their standardisation of parts. Also, why no early LMS......?🙄
Yes, Bachmann keeps doing more pre-2 coaches as easily my top era should order them on the day in LNWR. As love who is making T3 want one of my favourites of all time. Please look into the LTl&SR 79 class in green OO Scale with the HR strath class in yellow and LBSCR I3 in brown. As Rapido are my go-to company now only do Era 2 stuff.
This announcement could be something really special for many or a few, no point guess these days because only Bachmann know what it is, personally a retooled class 57 or 66 would be good along with some Mk3 coaches or another departmental vehicle or some sound decoders.
@@JackBowley95 To be honest I don’t think Accurascale are interested in the RHTT wagon set, for me it’s an open goal for them and they’re focused elsewhere, in time they will be producing items for high end premium modellers who want ultra detailed models, using Hatton’s mouldings is a phase that will end and never be revisited once Accurascale evolve as a manufacturer.
@@StormmyStormmy well I've got screenshots from Facebook of their managing director making comments about it saying not to pay over the odds on eBay, so read into that what you will.
I just looked and a birdcage coach is currently £90, so I’d guess a bit more than that maybe! Make sense I guess, if they can only make them in a few liveries and with specific appeal then they’re not going to sell in the same numbers as a mk1 for example. Whatever the price, I don’t really care though, finally an authentic pre grouping coach and there’s no way I could ever make anything look as good as these!
Top job to the lad from Bachmann, can tell he was a tad nervous but did very well! Props to you!
Nice to see Bachmann focusing on an era in OO that isn't primarily Diesels after what seems like an eternity.
Now they just need to do a regular release of the LNWR Improved Precedents with one in the proper LNWR condition to go with the coaches as well.

As an LNWR and LYR fan, this is great

I’m hoping for a cauliflower class and some wagons, crucially a brake van
@@aberfordwest4003 Yes!
Will be getting some LNWR coaches hopefully you'll do some LYR coaches
Fantastic announcment, good job Bachmann
A super announcement and good to see actual prototypes being modelled rather than ‘generic’ fantasies
The LNWR ones look exquisite.
Railway children live action performance on platform 7
Simple - your layout is a heritage railway. It can be styled in the modern era, but you have an excuse to run locos from different eras.
@miniroll32 this is how I roll basically means you can run literally anything.
Yes! Between these and the Rapido Evolution non-corridors I might go bankrupt...
Just need more LNWR condition locos now to go with these e.g George V or Claughton
These look superb. It's great to see such early vehicles being covered at last. Would be nice to see some pre-grouping GWR coaches too.
Always nice to see pre-grouping stock
The LNWR livery was known as 'Plum & Spilt Milk'
It was the varnish that was extensively used that made the white go the particular shade it did.
11:14 Folks, that is not the same Midland 1P that Bachmann have done before. It's technically not even the same class. I think we may be in for a bit of a treat in a few weeks.
omg I'm in love with that LNWR livery. Price depending, I might pick one or more up

Brilliant announcement
It is true Brilliant announcement just need more Pre 2 trains just now.
They look fantastic, my name is on a set. It's about time we had some more pre-grouping stock, and locos, please. Mathew Stirlings Hull and Barnsley 4-4-0 comes to mind.
These look exquisite, but where's the close-coupling we've become so used to? The gap between corridor connections harks back to the days of Tri-ang.

It's an obvious gap [pun intended] in all r-t-r coaching stock ranges and so obvious that nobody has provided an answer to it.
When you’ve got to scale curve plain line and turnouts on your railway…
Totally agree!
Fleischmann profi couplers will get them closer together!
But the paper ones still look better than a gap. I too hope to see some better quality ones available
Bachmann double thumbs up from me 👍👍
Maybe fit a stay alive to the sound class 31 as standard. We shouldn’t have to fit one ourselves considering how much they cost.
Why does a twin bogie diesel need a stay alive? My sound fitted example runs fine and without issues.
@@MikeParkin65 so why do Cavalex and Accurascale fit them as standard ?
Marketing. Serves no useful purpose in a large multi pick up loco. Small and light locos need them but nothing else.
I model 50s period, and i love those LNWR coaches, looks like i have to change period.😃
I'm trying to stay very disciplined and desist from ordering anything that isn't Southern Railway or Region, but that rake of LNWR carriages is sorely tempting....help!

I approve of pre-grouping.
Hopefully they will also be available as West Coast Joint Stock. Even after 50 years, modelling Scottish pre-grouping railways is a hard furrow.
How further can models go; these vehicles are magnificent.
My Christmas and bday money was going to an Accurascale 5700 but I need these for my precedent soooo

Another lovely coach but what will the price be
These look really nice. In the modern era thinking outside the box , the odd one could be included in a land cruise type luxury train pulled by a class 37 in the Scottish Highlands.
Don't have a layout, but I hope to see these on other modelers layouts
They look wonderful, but Bachmann charge the most for their carriages, so with all that detail, I'm guessing £80 to £90 each ?
Not my thing but I’ll listen out for any new innovations.
Does this mean we can expect to see more LNWR locos....? Wouldnt take much adjustment of tooling from previous models (Coal Tank, Super D, Precedent) given their standardisation of parts.
Also, why no early LMS......?🙄
Always hoped for a Beams 0-8-4T hoping that the Super D parts in production should help . Or was it a G2.
Conflat p wagon or 25 ton Anhydrite hopper wagon?
I’m getting some of these for sure
Looks superb. Sadly (or happily for my wallet) as a modern image modeller I have no excuse to buy them unless I open an OO museum.

Absolutely stunning…..and a passport to the southern lol
Would like to see the Prestwin twin silo hopper which was planned and then cancelled
Me too😊
Mk3s?

RHTT is for Accurascale. They've hinted elsewhere at acquiring Hattons' tooling
I LOST

Very niche
Look wonderful, limited appeal/sales though id guess, even adding some LMS maroon to them ,got to be £80/90 a pop.😲

Exquisite models, with perhaps a limited sales potential? No use to early BR modellers, who as yet have no Mk1 brake first stock.
It's new rolling stock, so probably just a wagon.
Hopefully departmental in various colours.
If it's not modern I have immediately lost interest
More for me then 😂
Maybe a Network rail yellow class 37 and a Europhoenix silver livery class 37 or something to compete with Hornby’s new Flirt model.
You’re missing out! I’m having a full rake of these bad boys myself 😂
as much as i like diesel and electrics, there is just so much more variation in the steam era that makes it much more interesting to model
Modern equals mega yawn.
More very over-priced duplication most probably!
Or something ancient
