After my experience with the Accurascale Deltic which looked great but was an underdeveloped model in my view with various issues I have more confidence in Bachmann products than Accurascale.
Hi, great loco from Bachmann, a class 73 or maybe a 58 would have been a blessing in disguise, Hornby have a good super detailed class 31, maybe a class 08 with wheel bearings and directional lighting would be superb.
Class 08s in normal operation ie shunting display a red and a white at both ends...making directional only applicable for main line operation and as switches for the lights where on the light it self or a red lense over white light (some changed later in life) many times on the main line had both lit😊
I think Bachmann need to go back to yearly announcements if they’re planning big money projects, all good announcing them when they’re near completion but mine and I’m sure others commitments are with accurascale’s version as they were announced earlier. Keep the quarterly announcements for new liveries/numbers 🤷🏻♂️ also given the cost & people’s finances it give more time to prepare/choose if competing.

Bachmann have pretty bullet proof locomotives so this will be a great edition to most modellers needs, any chance of a yellow livery Ransome & Rapier crane? The price will be astronomical like the rest of their products unfortunately. 😢
Working roof fans are cool when they work properly unlike the crud Hornby chucked into their 21pin class 43 HST packs, a choice of high detailed class 31 is ok as long as the prices are similar.

At first glance I thought you had all the unpainted Accurascale 30/31 types on the layout, then realised the wrong people were sitting behind them! I realise the lead time on new projects is lengthy today, and every manufacturer needs to make use of every oppurtunity to sell models but really, another duplicated class. I guess Bachmann might pick up the sales of those who missed out on Accurascales 31 pre-order "sold-out" status! Well they looked nice models I guess, a Class 30 too, thanks for the video at least. All the best Dave.

I too am looking forward to seeing a Bachmann Class 56 and Class 60 in the future. I don't plan on touching Cavalex Models ever again and I am happy to have sold my Class 56 onwards and replaced it with Dapol Class 52.
I get that people will be able to choose between the Accurascale versions and the Bachmann versions, but I can almost guarantee that Bachmann's 31 will be more expensive and not as detailed. Please stop "doing a Hornby" and work on something that doesn't exist as a ready-to-run at the moment. And try doing more OO steam! Too many diesels from you recently Bachmann.
They other classes in steam and diesel and electrics that not been done in rtr oo gauge Why do a model that another manufacturer is doing and charge a bomb
I am a great fan of Bachmann with one hundred and thirty seven locos of theirs in my collection. But I cannot see the point of another manufacturer bringing model to the market. Two other manufacturers are producing this model at different levels of finesse, so having another to choose from does not make senses. I cannot see Bachmann getting their investment back on the limited numbers that will be sold.
Once again wasting yet more investment on a loco that is already being produced by a competing manufacturer already to a high standard at a reasonable cost, but of course Bachmann need to saturate the market even more by using their development & research on another loco that is now being done by three manufacturers... Sure the toolings look very nice as per usual Bachmann standard but again, what's the point? They're literally hand on hand copying Accurascale's project by blatantly including the Class 30s into the mix just for Bachmann to gloat and flex more... This hobby already has unhealthy competition and Bachmann are just making it worse and it needs to stop. Start listening to your customers for things that THEY want to see and not just what the manufacturers will think will sell well (the Bachmann ones simply wont, look at how many of their 37s that are still for sale and even discounted) PS where's your Class 69 that's been eagerly awaited? Why wasn't THAT the main focus?
Totally agree and great poit on the Class 69, where is it??? You think Bachmann would have gone after Cavalex Models and done the 56 to go with their 69.
Listening to the would be customers, not actual customers since you've not purchased it yet, isn't all that great of an idea for a model railway company as you can very easily be led astray into making things based on a few loud voices, its very hard go get a genuinely indicitive survey of what people might want. The customer is always right doesn't mean what most modellers seem to take it to mean, I'd suggest looking up what the saying means. The investment was already made before accurascale announced, the research began long ago to gather information needed for both this and the Farish tooling, no one is copying each other. I'd be just as well to say accurascale copied bachmann having seen them doing all the research for the farish one and guessed that an OO one was coming, however that would be speculation and disingenuous of me to put forward. Move on lads, its a thing, your bromance with accurascale may be hurt but they're not gonna stop making this 31 or magic up something instead no matter what you say. This is just karen behaviour.
Oh dear. More duplication and triplication. It's all becoming too expensive now. I'm 78 years old and still hoping for an OO gauge Caledonian 0-4-4T...... ....
A lot of talk about details and lights, bells and whistles, but the models still, like all commercial 00 models in the UK operate on the wrong gauge of track at 16.5 mm. Why?
The track gauge for OO was set decades ago and will likely never change. If you are wanting a more accurate gauge then you can convert OO items to either EM or P4. This is time consuming however the results are very pleasing. It is also highly unlikely that any manufacturers will ever produce RTR stock in P4 or EM.
Dual sugarcube speakers??? Once again Bachmann have no idea how to do sound setups and yes it sounds sub-par, no thanks I'll stick with Accurascale's Class 31 with sound.
WHY?. It is not a natural progression at all. Accurascale are already doing it and a lot cheaper. Why on earth would you produce the same loco when they are smashing it at the moment and for £169. It's not like you are even competing with them with your out of control prices. At a time when we are all concerned about the hobby you do this!. Makes no sense at all.

It not steam
They other classes in steam and diesel and electrics that not been done in rtr oo gauge
Why do a model that another manufacturer is doing and charge a bomb
Start listening to your customers for things that THEY want to see and not just what the manufacturers will think will sell well (the Bachmann ones simply wont, look at how many of their 37s that are still for sale and even discounted)
PS where's your Class 69 that's been eagerly awaited?
@@SamstrainssKaren behaviour?
Hahahah... F**k off will you? Nobody takes your crap seriously...
No I wont... bugger off... Says the muppet insulting other content creators on this platform...
You don't know how long Bachmann have been working on this Project possibly well before Accurascale announced their 31, street prices are competative with Accurascale.
@@ianburnley6873Accurascale's 31 comes with working fans as standard. Bachmann's one requires a £100 premium.
