    Thank you, Doulop! I now have two C-4s.. my older '91 "Wild Cherry" and my newer '93 "Jaded". Like you, I have never checked any of either of their grease zerts. So many cars today have permanently greased elbows that I forgot that this was not necessarily true 30+ years ago. Thank you for the reminder.

    I have the same clock in garage.. I leave the light on 24/7 ... someone told me that the led bulbs will last longer if not turned on and off... makes a great night light 😊

    I went to autozone and they sell 15 kinds of grease. Which one are you supposed to you use? I don’t want to put the wrong kind in the fitting.

    • @Doulop
      @Doulop  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s a red Lithium all-purpose grease.

    Nice video. There are also 2 fittings that need lube in the rear. One on each side.

      Thanks! I expected there to be as well but my book didn’t show it so I never looked. I’ll have to do those as well. Thanks for watching and the help!

    Thanks again. How about a part 2 for the rear grease points? As always, I enjoy your videos

      You are welcome. I had a few people ask about this but my book did not show anything about rear grease points. I didn’t even see any when I looked at the car.

    There should be caps on the grease fittings similar to those on the brake bleeders... to prevent crap from being pushed in the fitting as you have the grease gun fitted on the zurk. Very cheap insurance policy. Good going on the cleanup!

      Hey Dave, thanks. I was wondering. I may get some if I come across them. I thought you would like the clean up ;)

    Watch for the new grease to start coming out. This way you know the old grease is out. Check ride and recheck to make sure it hasn’t accumulated on the inside of your rim. If it’s caked on , carefully clean it off

    • @Doulop
      @Doulop  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh yeah, I’ve seen it on the rims before. You are right! Thanks Mario.

    So have to ask what did you use to clean your front control arms and everything? I need to clean mine and have watched so many videos of people using aluminum cleaner spray it on and rinse it off.
    Looks amazing I need to do mine

    • @Doulop
      @Doulop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used a wire brush. Once all the crud was off, I used a soap and water rag and went over it. That’s it! Just make sure you don’t get the wire brush on any of the rubber parts. Thanks for watching! I’m glad you like the way it looks. I was really happy with it. I was going to use Super Clean but you’re not supposed to use that on aluminum

      That’s why I’m so iffy on what to use and yes I know not to get too close to the boots and tear them up.

    • @Doulop
      @Doulop  ปีที่แล้ว

      Just be careful. You don’t have to get right up against the boot, though. It will look great if you just get close. At least I think so :)

    What brakes and rotors are you using? I'm considering changing out to a set of C6 6 piston fronts and 4 piston rears. Have you thought about that? I'll need at least 18" wheels, maybe 19" wheels and that part really adds to the expense... darn.

      I replaced my calipers about 11 years ago with brand new ones, but they were just stock replacements. I used Powerbrake Red Stuff brake pads. Made a massive difference in stopping. I also replaced the brake fluid line from the stock rubber one to a stainless steel, braided one. The little hose right there at the wheels. Hope this helps.

      As for rotors, I don’t remember the brand but they are drilled and slotted.

    • @Doulop
      @Doulop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Kenny, ummmm, not sure without looking at my tube. It’s what my dad got me for my birthday. It’s just the standard red grease you can get at Walmart.

    I question how much work you've actually done on that '91, as your service manual is far too clean! ;-) I'd also clean up the control arms before adding new grease.

    • @Doulop
      @Doulop  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Haha, I have had the car for 15 years and I’ve only had the manual for about two or three. I have never had the car in a shop. I’ve done all the work myself but a lot of the stuff I just look up on TH-cam.
