My axle seal is leaking from my F-150 drivers rear. These guys are awesome. I always give a special thanks to the cameraman. Because they always show up close and personal the part that needs to be replaced or damaged to repair.
Wow glad you guys made this video I just changed my rotors and brakes on my k2500 and got annoyed I couldn’t line up the holes with the backing plate to the knuckle I just decided not to use it. Glad I saved them I will be putting them back on this weekend.
Aftermarket suppliers like 1A Auto need to offer replacements for vehicles that the manufacture have discontinued making. My Gen 1 Colorado needs the backing plates, and the only source is junkyards which sadly yield only marginally better parts that are on the truck.
Great video, however I didn't think it would have been worth all the effort on my 07 Camry considering the rust on everything else. I'll just leave them open.
I am speaking of a GM FRONT backing plate.. after replacing the front hub assembly of a 04' GM 2.2l EcoTec twice in 2 years I thought to not put the backing plate back on because it just seems to create an unnecessary gap between the knuckle and backside of the hub assembly and the only purpose of it seems to be to mount the ABS sensor and this car has no ABS system as it is a base trim so the ABS sensor that comes on the OE hub assembl is useless in my case...
I literally changed out the entire back drums/wheel cylinder and front rotor and pads. Turned out 1 week later the back drums rusted and still wasn’t able to figure out why they turned so fast and why the scraping sound never went away.
I need backing plates for 2005 hyundai santa fe 2.7 that I can't locate anywhere. I have check out of state, even it salvage yards. If you have any idea of where I could locate them I would be very happy. Thank you
But then the rotor is totally exposed on the other side of the tire. I can even see mine through the rims. If you decide to go without e brakes, i really feel like you dont need this thing

Question. If I change my wheels to a different size do I have to change those backing plates do match the wheel size?
Cheers for the footage my friends. 😉♥️👌👍

I wouldn't mind replacing my front backing plates on my 06 canyon but nobody makes them.. So wth do i do 1AAuto lol
I need them for a 2008 grand prix.

Can’t count the number of times over the years customers declined this repair.

You mean dust shields?
Best video
Nice
Why don’t they design a two piece backing plate so the axle doesn’t need to be removed? Never mind.
