Yeah the weight of Audeze is something you either get used to or you don't. Nobody's like "this is fine" at first try. Personally I always felt the weight, got a couple sessions with neck ache, but then it was fine ever since.
Just ordered the GX today to use as my first wired headphones coming from Razer Nari ultimate and Logitech G935 to use for gaming but mainly for movies/music. Pairing it with Schiit hel 2 so hopefully I like it since all the reviews seem good so far.
yo man im abotu to buy these for warzone, right now i have alienware tri mode, the astro a50 and some bose gaming headsets. do you feel like these will be better for warzone or what?
Was wondering how did you set it up for ps5? I was going to buy these but wasn’t sure if I’d need a dac or what not. What are your thoughts? Thank you for your time! 🙏🏻
You can get a zen DAC V2 and use it on the ps5, second option would chose a different dac connect it optical via your TV, the PS5 controller won’t have enough power, I use the zen dac v2 with the zen can, sounds darn good
If you haven't found your answer yet, you can also use a Schiit Hel 2 (I think they call it the 2e now because the DAC chip is slighlty different, same schiit tho lol). I use this on my PS5 and it works great via USB. Can be used with 3D audio as well, although dont recommend it for most games as it kinda makes the games sound artificlal by comparison of just using a good Dac/Amp. This amp also has plenty of power to drive any headphone you would want to throw at it for gaming
So I have the lcd x from around 2017, would it be worth having these for the pc gaming side or just get the mic cable for the lcd-X I also have the Penrose for PlayStation
Short answer if the X box has usb out yes. My dac/amp….chord mojo w has digital in……so digital out of tv into dac amp and onto any head[hones on the planet. Every modern tv that I have seen has optical out. Just get dac amp with optical in and anything going into tv will go into headset…. I am reading the question again and see I did not understand the question….so I have no idea what dac/amp the X box uses but that solution I mentioned will solve various issues like no headphones out on my tv except Bluetooth and that does not allow for audiophile headphones….anyway have a nice day.

@@criptocolorlightstech5292 if I am understanding the question correctly I am using chord mojo 2 it’s around 650 dollars my meze empyrean headphones had a driver go out and the chord makes my noise canceling headphones that cost 200 dollars sound incredible so it is doing something. It is pretty well reviewed. You are right to worry about dac/ it makes a massive Difference in sound as much as the headphones.
The hd 800 is analytical with a wider soundstage. The GX has better bass extension and speed. In terms of gaming it comes down to preference. The hd 800s are harder to drive and I wouldn't recommend using without a dedicated amp. But you really can't go wrong with either headphone.
I mean, the price isn't wildly inflated if thats what your implying. High-end headphones that sound this detailed and have these kinds of drivers are mostly $500+ at the least. Tbh the only headphones I even hear under $1000 that compete with these are like the Hifiman Anandas, Dan Clark Aeon 2, Focal Elex, and other headphones of that prestige. Could they make them $800? Probably, but like I said, the implication of your comment seems to make it sound like this is some kind of Apple overpay that costs 50% more than competing products, which just isnt true
I have these headphones and yes, console controllers CAN drive them. I've used them on the Elite 2 controller, XBox Series X standard controller and a PS5 dualsense controller. There's not as much bass as my Moondrop Blessing 2 Dusk when using these IEM's with the controllers, so keep that in mind if you're a bass head...
@@MauroAC the detail, imaging and soundstage is MUCH better than any gaming headset I’ve ever owned, for sure. Last gaming headphones I owned were a pair of Astros and a pair of Logitechs.

Personally I would get the GX. It's much more comfortable and about 80% of the Performance.
