I thought Botia, the openside, centre and sometimes winger probably put in the best individual performance this year of anyone, over the ball he forced so many turnovers, then made slashing breaks outwide, exceptional player.
ROG is already a legend .. but like a fine wine , in terms of being a world class coach he is getting better with age ...,bags of charisma , and and clearly a good laugh as well ... what he has achieved with La Rochelle is phenomenal .... looking forward to the day that he takes the reins for Ireland
People just expect Leinster to win it because they're "at home" - ROG knows the deal, he'll have LR ready for that!! I expect LR to walk over Exeter and I have them as favourites to be honest - they beat the heck out of Saracens, just as they did to us last year... To be honest, I think Toulouse might just be too much for Leinster this year, I'm more nervous for that game - they look really really good!
Home advantage is huge. Leinster beat Toulouse relatively easily last year. Can't see LaRoc beating them either. As they only beat them by 3 points away.
La Rochelle won by 3 points in the 85th minute last year. That was in Marseilles with the french tv directors. Look at the Gloucester game, and any toulose game vs them that’s how you beat them.
@@johnmc3862 You say "away" as if La Rochelle were the home team. The game was in Marseille, the opposide side of France. That was the first time either side played there. Leinster always play every important game at the Aviva.
Botia was superb all game but what were saracens at , definition of insanity over and over again letting one out runners with no protection run into a wall and letting botia free reign to get over the ball unchecked , lads so slow to arrive to the ruck and clear anyone out
C'mon ROG, Sarries were ridden by Brace for a 10 minute spell in the second half. Watch the shithousery by LAR around 50 mins after the Sarries lineout. How Scalvi didn't get a yellow card on 64 minutes is Bermuda Triangle mystery stuff.
Great job done at La Rochelle by ROG. Major contenders now for trophies over the next few years. No doubts about that. Except this year, just can’t see anybody beating Leinster.
I'm shocked that Hannon has not been held more accountable. I don't think he should lose his job or anything, but it's been buried by Off The Ball. Kilbane was given free rein to give out about other people who used that term, but they have no time for Kilbane (or anybody else) to speak about Hannon's use of the same term. "Do as I say, not as I do" comes to mind.
He says he won't coach Munster. He said he loves the club too much. I understand, It would be hard to coach the club you support. Emotions might get on the way, and the fear of letting them down.
I have watched a lot of Irish teams over the years as an England fan - this team has been building for 6 years from the u20s (an Irish fan reminded me on a comment I left after Ireland beat NZ u20s) this is a different team and you can throw away that “Ireland peaked” argument - even if they lose in the final that is not a peak to soon either, because it is hard to get to the final, especially from that side of the pool.
ireland are building an immense depth of quality coaches Ronan Ogara a classic èxample.

@@npc1894 I like him at back row, gives him more freedom
Lá Rochelle are favourites to win the HCup, impressive display against sarries
Weren’t soo impressive vs Gloucester. Had to have Adamson come in clutch
Ah good. Ronan is out of bed. Talk now, shower later. My favourite Rugby brain.

He’ll be the head coach for Ireland alright at some time on the future. But first I’d say there’s an itch to scratched in coaching Munster.
@@Driver2616 i think he would more likely be coaching Leinster first .. he is that Good !
@@rossmorebaz : Leinster would be a good move for him alright…..

Have you ever watched a game between Toulouse and Leinster
Sure it was a home game for La Rochelle last year 😉

Probably the two best in the championship meeting in the quarter finals

It's not mystery stuff. They were at home. Refs tend to Slightly favor the home side on 50/50 or near 50/50 calls. I think it's just human nature.
@@hellohell77 I'm not sure about slightly favoured though, as a neutral even I think brace gave saracens an awful time

12/12 home win record in CH. cup knock out stage this year

Toulouse-'hold my frogs legs"
O'Gara will pontificate about person pride and respect but abuses abuses referees and takes working with Shane Hannon

Can’t wait for the cheque book manager to be put in his place
Glad ROG isn't like the others
Cheers came last
RoG to Munster asap
He only goes there if he get the budget of a top French club. Rugby's Mourinho
Rugby coming home
He will have to bring all the La Roch players with him to get a trophy

Andy brace 😪
The Irish are grinning now but at the WC they are going to be roasted by the ABs, SA, or France they peaked last year
