ROG was one of my fav players, and he became an incredible coach. His words on respect and how he reflected on his Toulouse comment show what an amazing man he is.
yep, french people are watching, and from where I stand I don't think that many people took offense at the mention of Toulouse having a rather average game. That probably makes that defeat all the more cruel, and I think most people, even Mola, recognised that. Congrats for all you've brought to La Rochelle and its players !
Toulouse having an average game wasn't really the unsportsmanlike part. When he said "Toulouse will go around explaining rugby to everyone again" was uncalled for, sounded bitter and not very classy
His coaching maturity and clarity of thought in so few years is incredible. When his time comes coaching Ireland I will love to see what he can do with the team.
ROG you were a wonderful player I found Rugby on a trip ti Ireland and I saw you play and I respect your life as a whole a rugby star, l husband a father, a and always a Man from Ireland, And your Mom and I have the same name. God Bless!
I live in France and can reliably inform that La Rochelle are well liked and admired in equal measure. Of all the neutrals I met, most were rooting for Les Rochellais. ☘️
I’ve been following the Super Rugby Southern Hemisphere. When The Crusaders won for the 7th time in a row except for Canterbury, it wasn’t celebrated in NZ. The disdain towards the The Crusaders was shocking!
I have huge respect for O’Gara. One of the brightest young coaches in world rugby. I wanted England to appoint him post Eddie Jones. Highly unlikely I know, but he’s just so good.
Called ROG out last week on some of his poor comments in his interview when they lost. Fair play to him for admitting he got it wrong last week. 👏 now let’s see how he reacts when we (Leinster) beat them next season 😉
I think sometimes O'Gara gets blamed because he talks to the media in French (which is to his credit) and that comes out harsher than what he meant. From what I could see, just after the finale he said "Arrête de parler que c'était un grand Toulouse" when he should have said "Arrêtez de dire que c'était un grand Toulouse". The difference is subtle but it gets picked up by the media because of the way it sounds. I feel it's unfair because he's a great communicator even if his French is still a bit rough around the edges. In contrast, Sexton spent two seasons in Racing and I never heard him saying anything in French, not even when moaning to the refs!
O’Gara failed in the top 14, that’s a competition the French still place the highest importance. It’s like us, in Ireland celebrating a grand slam and not winning a World Cup.
interesting that rog says Humility is important part of the clubs ethos , very little shown after their last two finals. one win , one win loss, Don't see it rog
Untrue. He often agrees with what people think about what he thinks,he's more simple minded then some of the more articulate questions he gets on the other hand .
Hugo Mola had nothing but praise for Stade Rochelais even before the European Cup final he stated that if there was one team capable of beating Leinster in Dublin, it had to be Stade Rochelais. As a French supporter I agree Toulouse was dominated. People who are not familiar with the Top 14 (and Pro D2) don't realize how competitive it is due to both relegation system and the sheer domination of French clubs in both Champions and Challenge Cups. ROG is so frank he cannot please everyone. I like what he says and he turned out to be a great coach. Huge respect
Merci pour tout Monsieur O'Gara !

Great to see him in the studio, his slot on a Friday is top shelf.
I love late era chilled out Ronan. Great chat out of him.
Love Rodge, I’m convinced he is the reason TH-cam added 1.5 playback speed 😂😂
I go x2 with him
On normal speed
Good to see ROG admit that some of the things he said after the game he is not happy with. Good for him for admitting that 😊

Very entertaining, but was hoping you'd ask him about Ireland's chances against France in the world cup.
ROG is the man !! 🇮🇪
Not many managers come on a chat show and talk while still managing
what the heck was ROG do the night b4?
ronin wrote off kerr barlow for oz :(
Rog is the next leinster manager please 🙏
A major concern for O'Gara will be that Top14 final Toulouse played poorly and still beat them
1:44 he did not like that comment...😅
Yeah what happened there haha
It was a question unrelated to the topic, I didn't understand why he asked it.
@@ivormcc1he didn't ask a question

Lad we're not being LR. This was our best ever chance to win and we threw it away. Each time we've facer them, we've gotten bullied.
ROG and Shane in the same building. Someone, call in an air strike!
Any word on post-match function rooms? It'd be awful if they got screwed twice. Real salt in the wound kinda stuff
It sounds like you're a bit salt yourself about leinster losing

Adrian and Shane out of their depth with ROG.

@@marcusmcmahon5414 Every answer is no!!
Don’t be fooled by his easy- going manner. A General on the field and a tactician as a coach.
Awkward interview

This means in this year's Top 14 (2022-23) there is no less than:
4x European Champions Cup winners
6x European Challenge Cup winners
