There is no need to fuss about squeaky floor boards or an infinite amount of umms. We are all here to be inspired by your fluid and calm approach to painting a Stuart. This was incredibly informative as always.
Obviously this is not first time watching this Personally I enjoy you being you . Relax no apologies needed. There will always be those who ave no appreciation. But the rest of us absolutely love you So grateful for your teaching I love just having you paint while I paint. I never wanted to paint until your channel showed up.
I was with you until the end. Thank you so much for sharing your work. I'm 73 and just trying to play. I started in my late 60's and I find that instead of sitting around feeling blue painting allows me to play. I thank you for letting us look over your shoulder. I am one who has tended to paint tightly and I want to loosen up...which sounds funny from an old broad like me! I look forward to the 2nd part of this work!
Thank you Stuart!! I've just retired, moved to Fredericksburg Texas & started painting again (Aug 2022) & am thank-full to find you & your lessons!! You are so reassuring & relaxed about the painting effort & creativity ~ you express how I feel about the painting process & results, but discounted my ability because it's not like the artists I see in the galleries... but you've given me Hope!!! I'm also so glad to see someone of your caliber painting with those big household brushes - I thought I was crazy to use them, but Here YOU are!! Yippee!!!
I have always been fascinated with the sky. That’s why I love your work. While watching this video I had the thought that being able to watch an artist work is in itself another form of art. Really appreciate being able to watch your work unfold.
Watched the entire video and will watch it again and again. I'm 68 and just started oil painting. You make it very easy to understand and follow. Thank you.
Just watched this again all the way through and continue to learn. Completed the lesson on the ship in the turbulent sea, turned out pretty good for a novice.
Oh, yes, I watched it from beginning to end and backed it up a few times to watch certain steps. Your voice is soothing, my cat jumped up on the table and watched, too.
I know you must get tired of hearing "Absolutely beautiful!", but that's all I can think to say. I learn so much listening to you think as you paint. Your commentary is the most valuable teaching part! To only see one do something is not really that helpful if the student doesn't understand WHY. Thank you so much for these videos! 11 minutes is only for entertainment. I approach your videos as an art class, so I watched till the end. Your sense of humor keeps the coma away, and your voice is concentrative thought and pleasant. Well done! Thank you!
I watch all your videos to the last second, and that too multiple times. Every time I learn something new. Keep them coming 👍🤗. Much thanks and prayers
Hello Stuart, its been a while since I viewed your amazing sky paintings. I really enjoy watching how you build up the drama in your sky scenes. Its encouraging to realise that you can put a number of different colours on the canvas or board to then push around and mess about with to form the pattern of sky your trying to achieve to your satisfaction. I really like also the freedom of expression that you get by utilizing this loose approach to developing a landscape. Thank you for demonstrating this method. I have tended to incorporate these lessons in my amateur painting style and actually produced a couple of paintings following your tuition and am quite pleased with the outcome. Thumbs up to you Stuart.
How could you not watch till the end? Your sky is awesome. I love the boldness and drama of the clouds. Enjoyed listening as you painted, will be looking forward to seeing how the landscape finishes up. Appreciate your time, effort, and teaching style....thank you
Watched until the end. While I’m grateful for TH-cam, they’re quite often wrong about a lot of things. I’ll watch a full length painting tutorial from start to finish before a time-lapse or cropped video. Thanks for all you do.
Yes indeed I’m still here at the end as you said ,those of us that are inspired to learn are honoured to have a front row seat at your Studio space Im new to this type of art and very much appreciated your tips. Thankyou kindly
I'm one of your viewers who always watches right through to the end, Stuart. It helps that I live alone, so am no longer juggling a partner or children, so can watch videos uninterrupted!
I am so mesmerised by your voice and instruction which is delivered in such a natural way. What a wonderful way to start my day and give me energy to go and paint. I watched it until the end and thank you as you are an inspiration.
I stayed with you to the end and thoroughly enjoyed it. I disagree with TH-cam's time suggestions. For those of us who are truly students, 10 to 20 minutes is not enough time to learn anything. Thank you for making your own decision. I look forward to more postings from you.
I watched the whole thing. I always do. Your style sets right with me. I have been painting "intuitive landscapes" and since incorporating some of your techniques I am actually able to do more of what I want. I appreciate you offering these videos very much. Thank you.
We could all keep listening to your voice for the entire day without any problem. Your videos are really like therapy to me, painting is therapeutic, and then adding your voice to it... It gets addictive. I found myself watching your videos back to back for a full day.. (yup, dont ask what I do with my life.)
I watched it to the end, as I do with all your videos. Your voice is far from boring and seems to match your painting style. Once again thank you for doing this.
Start to finish a great tutorial. I always watch to the end and your voice is wonderful. There are many painting tutorials that are 2 plus hours. So I think people that want to learn watch the whole video.
I picked up my first paintbrush on Mother’s Day 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic. I started with acrylic (cheaper and I had no clue what I was doing). Your videos have inspired me to buy my first oil paints and supplies, and I’ve been watching and learning from you for a couple of months now. I watch each of your videos to the end- you asked for feedback so there you have it. THANK YOU from someone who cannot afford formal lessons, I find great value and joy in learning from you.
Maybe the best video you've done, next best thing to actually being with you. I watch all your videos from beginning to end and then again several times more. Your "ums and ahs" do not detract nor does your shoulder, don't waste any time worrying about that. Great to hear the sound of the brush on the canvas. One great revelation has been the creation of cloud effects using rolled up paper - I've always limited myself to the big brush so far. Please do more of these "live" commentaries. No microphone popping at all btw.
What a glorious sky! I watch your videos all the way through and it’s always time well spent for me. Kind of hypnotic the way you transform blobs of colour into such drama. As always, thank you.
I’m 68 and teaching myself to paint. I enjoy it very much even though I know I’m only mediocre. Thank you so much for your videos. Your style of painting is exciting and dramatic. I want to learn to do that. So, yes, I watch the entire video!
In answer to one of your questions... I watch your videos to the end and find the whole process fascinating. Your brushwork approch a big part of getting me to paint in a totally different way from my style I used before I stopped painting 14 months ago. I started again this week! Thank you for being an inspiration. Rod
I fell asleep the first view since my habit is to watch right before bed. I hope you know of ASMR, Stuart. But here I am again watching the 2nd time through to actually listen. I often view these 2 or 3 times. You’re very casual and encouraging which helps my anxiety knock it off while I’m trying to paint.
You mentioned that you hoped the live commentary would be successful. I vote yes. It’s a pleasure to watch and I always learn so much. As for that painting... powerful, amazing and an inspiration.
Stuart, hello from America. I love your voice, it works talking while your painting. I hope you'll do it again. I always enjoy watching u paint. Thank you sooo much . Stay well. God bless.
I searched TH-cam for cloud tutorials. This is the first tutorial I have watched that inspires me to put paint to canvas. I love your technique and I am excited to try it. I did stay for the entire video and part two as well. I also subscribed. I want to see more of your talent and learn more of your techniques. Well done!
I clicked on this video because it was headlined as work on clouds. Since that is exactly what I want to learn. My daughter has done a great deal of painting, having a MFA in painting. She's been very helpful with hints, but she wasn't happy with my clouds. I headed out to the local art museum to look at Constable paintings, and then looked at more online. HOWEVER, your video has been enormously helpful is showing me how to get the "layers" in my clouds and to shape them in the irregularity of reality. I love watching your colors, and I'm surprised to see you use straight out of the tube initially and then blend them on the canvas. I have been blending mostly on my canvas. I've learned a lot from your words/images, and I will watch more over time. Thanks for doing this. (Eileen)
Thank you Stuart, I love your style and the way you talk one through a painting. I have spent two hours watching two of your videos, have found you very informative. I have tried painting on and off for a month or two here and a year there over the past 20 years, when I can find a gap. Have been to a few different teachers but just never felt comfortable! Your way of explaining and teaching is exactly what I have been looking for. Kind regards Pam
Thank you Stuart, I really enjoyed that. I understand that TH-cam encourages short videos, but i really appreciate an in depth length as I like to see the whole process, including palette and tissues and all the little things that I'm not aware of until I see them. love your technique and style been having trouble with my clouds, i work in acrylics your instructions are just the ticket your commentary is top notch I get the humour, Kim from NZ
Really impressed again with your videos ! informative ans inspirational. You are definitely a gifted Artist and very kind of you to share that gift with us all. thanks again. definitely watch all the way through !!!!!!
I found your channel the other day, I am loving watching your videos - great technique and fun and helpful commentary. I plan to rewatch this one and try to copy it - what a beautiful sky! Looking forward to watching the rest of your videos.
Thanks Stuart !! Here I am two years after you made this great demonstration. I watched it till the end. Very instructive and peaceful. Time available does not always enable me to view till the very end, but a day or two later I finish viewing!!!
I'm still here right to the end. I always watch your videos to the end, I do enjoy them, and your rye comments. Look forward to the next one, with your new camera.
I watch your videos all the way through but have playback speed set to x2. I have to say that your technique for sky/clouds is amazing. I never thought it could be made so easy to paint something so complex. Thank you.
So far I have watched the videos from end to end and still at normal speed because I don't want to miss anything. It actually takes me more time to watch them because it's not my native language, but google translate helps. The extra time is worth it! However, I want to look at the technical implementation as well as listen to the valuable information that you so kindly share. Honestly, I have never enjoyed watching any artist's videos as much as yours. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing us to enjoy your creations. The sky in this painting is very super beautiful. Many thanks!
I really enjoyed watching this video. I love your teaching style and the technique of painting. You are a great and amazing teacher! I would love to join the 5 day painting course. I wish I can paint like you . Thank you so much
Thank you so much! Every day whenever I have some free time and also before going to bed I watch your painting videos. Because of me , my husband, son and daughter have become your fan. We all like the way you paint and the way you teach. I would like like to learn from you in person. Please let me know whether you teach in person? Kind regards, Rajani Kanteti
There is no need to fuss about squeaky floor boards or an infinite amount of umms. We are all here to be inspired by your fluid and calm approach to painting a Stuart. This was incredibly informative as always.

Once again loved every moment of your painting and chatting. Thanks so much for sharing.

Very enjoyable. I liked the real time. I watch all of your videos in their entirety but not always in one sitting. 💚

Long videos are good! Thank you for sharing.

I am loving this live instructional video. I have watched this twice and each time find something new. Even down to the "salad" makings. Thanks
I watched from beginning to end. I really appreciate your teaching. Thank you so much.

I watched until the end and highly enjoyed your work. I wouldn't change a thing.

Video was NOT too long. You are informative and entertaining enough to easily occupy an hour+. And doing them live is even better!
Great!!! Watched from the beginning to the end... GREAT !!!

Enjoyed you talking while you paint. I did make it to the end!
Beautiful clouds. Bravo!
You talking and painting at the same time works very well. Very informative. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
I like your running commentary! I learned a lot!
In answer to one of your questions... I watch your videos to the end and find the whole process fascinating. Your brushwork approch a big part of getting me to paint in a totally different way from my style I used before I stopped painting 14 months ago. I started again this week!
Thank you for being an inspiration. Rod
As beautiful as always Stuart....Thank you.
My pleasure!
I like hearing you as you are actually painting - thanks for trying this :)
Love your sky painting demos and I always stay until the end. Don’t wasn’t to miss any of it. Thank you for sharing.
I fell asleep the first view since my habit is to watch right before bed. I hope you know of ASMR, Stuart. But here I am again watching the 2nd time through to actually listen. I'm the same lol, so relaxing to watch and listen too it makes me sleepy :-)
I think this is my favorite so far. Incredible as always. Listening to your mind work is both entertaining and instructional. Thank you.
Glad you enjoy it!
You mentioned that you hoped the live commentary would be successful. I vote yes. It’s a pleasure to watch and I always learn so much.
As for that painting... powerful, amazing and an inspiration.
Love the clouds, watched it to the end. You have helped me immensely with my journey into oil painting.
Glad I could help!
Stuart, hello from America. I love your voice, it works talking while your painting. I hope you'll do it again. I always enjoy watching u paint. Thank you sooo much . Stay well. God bless.
Thanks for another great video. I always watch through to the end. You have a soothing voice, so it works for both live and as a voice-over.
I have a big problem with not loosening up when I paint as many do. Thank you Stuart for showing me your ways and thoughts. Love your channel.
I watched the entire vídeo and i really enjoyed it. Loved process and learning how unify SKY and landscape
Funny you battling with your um's. Hugely entertaining and informative video, as always Stuart.
Your freedom in going for it.. is my goal.. I love abstract, and fine art combo, you show.. love it.. Thanks......
Always, I watch to the end.
I searched TH-cam for cloud tutorials. This is the first tutorial I have watched that inspires me to put paint to canvas. I love your technique and I am excited to try it. I did stay for the entire video and part two as well. I also subscribed. I want to see more of your talent and learn more of your techniques. Well done!
You are so welcome! Thanks for subscribing!
Thank you, I love watching your videos and yes I watch until the end.
Watching again, and maybe more than that! You make it look so easy, I am still trying! Thank you so much, love your skies, painting, and style.
Kind regards
Pam
Thank you Stuart, I really enjoyed that. I understand that TH-cam encourages short videos, but i really appreciate an in depth length as I like to see the whole process, including palette and tissues and all the little things that I'm not aware of until I see them. I know that i often start watching a clip, not just yours, and then end up finishing watching on one of my other devices. I don't know if the analytics capture that, i'm not sure how the analytics works. But I am here to the end and thoroughly enjoying your talking while you paint, although I also like the voice over. you have a very soothing voice and you could probably recite the alphabet and I'd still enjoy it. I wish people would keep their opinions to themselves sometimes, as when they see things, like cats, it's a reflection on their internal workings rather than a valid opinion on someone else's creation. but that is just my opinion of course. :) you just keep being you and putting out great content. you are always an inspiration to me. Thank you
Thank you!
love your technique and style been having trouble with my clouds, i work in acrylics your instructions are just the ticket your commentary is top notch I get the humour, Kim from NZ
You said your method of painting is not precision, it’s more like feeling. I love that! Such great lessons. TY.....
Stayed 'til the end (as usual). Great tutorial (as usual). You manage to create such interesting compositions effortlessly. A joy to watch, thank you.
When you're not chatting to us, do you listen to 'dramatic sky' music during your painting sessions?
Dramatic anything music. I'll have to check to see if there's any dramatic sky music :-)
I personally love everything about this channel the length your beautiful voice and your calm irony
Whatched the lot. And loved it will be back!!
It was interesting an informative I use Acrylic you can’t food it around as much as your oils
Awesome.....as always your videos fill my head with possibilities of using your techniques for my own ends......in acrylics!!
Really impressed again with your videos ! informative ans inspirational. You are definitely a gifted Artist and very kind of you to share that gift with us all. thanks again. definitely watch all the way through !!!!!!
Thank you so much 😀
I found your channel the other day, I am loving watching your videos - great technique and fun and helpful commentary. I plan to rewatch this one and try to copy it - what a beautiful sky! Looking forward to watching the rest of your videos.

I'm still here right to the end. I always watch your videos to the end, I do enjoy them, and your rye comments. Look forward to the next one, with your new camera.
I appreciate that!
You are my favorite landscape painter!
Your teaching has made me advance way beyond art school.
I have always watched your videos all the way through, and a few several times; I've always been a slow learner...
I watched it from beginning to end and did not get bored... It is a wonderful video.
I Look the whole Video with Wine, cheese and bread. Then i am painting. Thank you for the Inspiration and the nice sunday evening.
Just found your channel! I'm realy enjoying your way of teaching. Love how you show the hole process of the painting. Now I just want to paint.
I watch your videos all the way through but have playback speed set to x2. I have to say that your technique for sky/clouds is amazing. I never thought it could be made so easy to paint something so complex. Thank you.
I'm still here and liked it very much. I'll be back. Thank you for your time 😊

Really loved the sky in this one. Look forward to see what else you do with it. Watched the whole thing.
