Lucky Penny Thoughts: When I start a video, I never expect or anticipate any problems. This gun had other ideas and after the first try, it broke. By trial and error I was able to fix it and get it working again. I would not expect most kids to want to even try fixing a cap gun, but I wanted to show that if you try and take your time it can be done!

I would play with these a lot when I was a kid. I remember I once had a lot of that gunpowder. Like 7 of them strapped together with a tape. I tried to take one out and suddenly as a result of friction it caught on fire and I burned all of my fingers. I had to get a ton of aloe vera.

Randomly stumbled into this video, and instantly felt the nostalgia by looking at the packs of ring caps. Geezz, did I "bust" alot of caps in my younger days. I even had a double barrel shotgun with some special caps you put in the primer pocket on fake shotgun shells, anyone know if they're still available, the double barrel shotgun with fake shells and all ?

@@RandomCatOnTH-came it isn't gunpowder, it's a mixture powder called "armstrong's mixture" which is a powder that only pops, and doesn't explode. this same powder is also in party poppers
Funny story believe it or not, I show up to cubs but behind the table there was LOTS of cap gun ammunition on the ground. Even 5 rings were on the street! The revolver was inside the garbage, but what person would leave cap gun ammo behind?

when I was a kid in the early 1970s the cap guns I had were louder but I think now they use less gunpowder.these 8 shot ring caps with the cowboy on the package,i bought about 10 packs and each ring caps were duds I swear all the white little paper holes that held the gunpowder were all loose and the gunpowder was non exsistant.always get the 8 shot ring caps made in Taiwan they are super loud and powerful.

I think I stopped playing with cap guns around the time of the circular caps, I had the old red paper ones. I was always afraid to press them too hard for fear of blowing my fingers off. But the smell, I loved the smell.

Wow just was searching for some louder sound cap gun after watching an antique british bulldog revolver and just found this rare shape pistol shape revolver but a toy one.always searched about this and wondered because around 23 years ago as a kid 12/13 years old i wished to have some firearm pistol and saw a toy gun of same design in hands of one of my 10 years older cousin who was trying to teach we kids a karate training ,that metal toy pistol/revolver had such square shape of a pistol but having such a pop up cylinder chamber inside and that was a heavy metal one.always wondered wether such gun realy existed or not in real😇😇😇

Bruh how I missed these, I had a metallic one, it was a revolver and I had so many of these cap shots, that was in 2007, now they hardly sell and if they actually sell them it's not the strong metal one it's a plastic one

I don't think the gun was in need of repair, you just have to pull back the hammer, which is the back part of the top. I could be wrong, but then again, I've been using guns since I was a 10.
That part is just for show, but it's good advice for airsoft and real guns!

When i was a kid i stacked 8 of those ontop of eachother in the garage and used a hammer to smash all of them at the same time it was hella loud and the garage trapped the sound making it even louder my ears rung for like 2 minutes lol
