3:23, can see the tail end of an ILLEGAL INSTRUCTION error message, perhaps they never expected having to deal with post-level water interaction and thus put the underwater-code/variables in the RAM-segment now used by the level end display. (which now has no means of actually getting on the screen)

I didn't look too far into SMC+, but I know that the spikes glitch no longer works on it as mentioned in the video so maybe you'll find out yourself :P And yeah it's good to see you still around the channel dude! I'm getting there. XD I use to spend hours glitching and using debug mode on Sonic 1 and 2. I use to have a great Sonic 2 strange debug glitch thing, i need to go see if I can still work out how to do it.
There is zipping in Sonic Advance, I've done it. In Egg Rocket Zone, have Knuckles. Keep going till the level enters outer space, and you're in the area where you turn upside down at some points. Have Knuckles right side up, standing right next to the spot where he would be turned upside down. Jump, then as he falls, press A again to hit the ground and slide forward. He turns upside down and stops sliding, but if you turn around and run back into the right side up area, he stays upside down. The ceiling becomes a death pit, and if he ever climbs down into a corner, he won't stand up on the ground but instead he'll climb right into the wall and start zipping. Usually it leads to him getting stuck in the far edges of the level, or dead because some areas of the inner wall are hollow and he falls to the ceiling.
I have played Sonic since it's inception. I am and will always be a Sonic fan. I have never seen Sonic die from running past the screen. Actually, I used to love doing this and watching the screen follow to him and almost snap back. I pulled my Genesis out with my original launch copy and the screen snaps to him after a few seconds. Perhaps this is a 50/60 hertz difference. It could also be different versions and revisions.

What do ya mean about people complaining about the camera in 3D games a lot? The positioning of it in 3D games is all I can think about with the camera being an issue in more modern games since it can get caught on things and now show what you need to see hahaha Sonic is one of the few instances that it can cause an issue in 2D games :)

6:55 i think its because when sonic jumps, there is a collision that makes the game think that its ground so he goes into his normal moving sprite

Since I've played Sonic 1 since childhood Labyrinth Zone isn't that hard for me. It's still a huge annoyance with all those traps, though.

In my opinion, its the 2nd easiest classic sonic game (Sonic CD is the easiest).
