I LOVE old telephones!!! We used to have an original, working model like this in the house I grew up in, and for the life of me, I had no idea how to use it. Thanks for the brilliant tutorial, Samhain!
Those old phones add such character to a house! I have always wanted one so the easiest way is to just build one! It's wild that I could not find schematics for this thing, my brother had to buy a real phone and send me measurements. So now I have preserved this cool phone for many future generations :) Thanks for your support Fraidy!
This is one prop, that I love but am not 100% happy with. It's just too tool intensive, it's not just a woodworking project, it's also a 3d printer project. It's awesome what you can now do with those things, but sadly it means the people who can enjoy a build like this is quite small.. This project took a life of its own and became a lot more than I had anticipated! Thanks for enjoying the video!
Hey GC! Sorry for the slow reply on this. I have actually gone and dug up all the 3d files for the phone and am in the process of putting together a file and an assembly PDF so it's not just an unknown mess of parts! lol.
I am in Southern Alberta, so I am usually working in either +30º or -30º and sometimes it feels like I get to experience both extremes in the same day! lol.
I have these 3d models I just need to get them online! Each time I go in I realize that it was a complicated print and want to make sure that anyone who purchases the files are not left to the wolves with a folder full of STL's. lol. I will make a point of getting these online as I have had a few people request them. Thanks for watching!
Oh Gosh... I never uploaded the file for this prop! I'll get this sorted ASAP just have to make sure I did actually make a dimension file for this one. Regardless I will make sure I get the 3d printer files for the phone up! Thanks for catching this Forresterickson!
@@SamhainPropworks Looking forward to the files. I use FreeCAD and will be able to import STEP and some other files if your native drawing file types are not FreeCAD.

That turned out really well!

Your brother sounds like a pretty cool dude! ;)
I assume you are speaking in the first person, if so I fully agree with you. Thanks again for all the measurements!
Really like the phone.
Was wanting to know if I could get the 3d files.
Again nice job on the phone.

Where are you in Canada? Nice to see other Canadian makers on youtube!

@@SamhainPropworks So you are a neighbor! I'm in SW Sask!
Do you have the plans and the 3D files for this prop. This is a great prop.

@ Thank you for putting out such great videos.
Are you sharing the 3D files? If so where?

@@SamhainPropworks Looking forward to files. My sister has a log style home in rural Wisconsin and I would think this would look great in her home.
