  • In this week's Cache Walk we are continuing to explore Scotland. We have come across a Roman wall. It formed the Northern most boundary of the Roman Empire nearly 2,000 years ago. Come for a walk to see what remains of the Emperor Antonine's wall at Rough Castle.

Thoroughly enjoyed this location! Would have been extra fun if I had my e-bike there, and go as far as you can to see it all. The ad lab looked like fun to do, very informative. Thanks for posting guys.

Thanks for another interesting tour in cow country. I loved the blackberries you showed because blackberry season here just ended. No more along the trails. :(
I loved those bridges at the end.

Thanks, we always look out for blackberries but seldom see them so it's a treat when we do. We are back in England next year but unfortxnately we will miss the blackberry season.

Pity you don’t speak moo, mum was probably calling her calf. Or warning you off ☺️ whenever I meet a little echo tunnel, I sing Edelweiss from the film Sound of Music 😀 great video, thanks for showing us these historic places!

ha ha yes being able to speak moo could be very handy. I must remember Edelweiss if ever I'm in a tunnel again 🙂

Interesting location! 🥰A pity there are not many actual sections of the wall to see like in the Hadrian's one. This is one of those places where an augmented reality app would be handy

There are a few places like Rough Castle were you can see the ditch. Pity the wall was not in stone like Hadrians. There is a flyover view of the fort and wall available but I got no reply when I asked for copyright permission.Yes an app so you could see it as you stood there on the ground would be wonderful.
