    Jeff’s notes about opening the stance for wedge shots and closing it up for driver all due to swing path was a light bulb moment for sure!
    Let’s see how that translates to the course tomorrow!
    Really enjoy the content dude!

      Hope you're still strutting! A student of mine, (I volunteer coach a college team) just won the Luxembourgish National Championship (congrats Nic!), and he was our MVP with strutting last year. It's life changing!

    Hey Manu, thanks for sharing the lesson, while I can't swing like either you or Jeff, Jeff's analysis makes perfect sense. Could you please find out if Jeff also teaches a one plane swing :-) I am a flat one planer and I am very hesitant to change, but I could use some help with grip and alignment for sure :-) I am surprised to see how steep your swing plane was with both your iron and driver, I would never have believed it given how far you hit it, but now it makes sense given that you hit it high, far and with that baby cut. Yes if you were to shallow it out per Jeff, it would help you gain more club head speed I guess, not like you need it anymore. :-) and probably get more of a lower penetrating flight. Good luck!

    Brilliant lesson from Jeff and thanks for sharing Manu! I’m also trying to get the shallowing done sooner in my downswing and this lesson from Jeff confirms my drill that I’ve been practicing. Hopefully I can get off from being a 5 handicap and get to scratch in a few years. Love your videos btw!

      One thing you said that stood out...I don't know anything about you so I might be totally wrong, but I think you can get to scratch faster than a few years (maybe even a few months)! Is ball striking the major issue for your scores? Just saying coz my main issue has sometimes been ball striking, but often other things like picking better targets and not swinging out of my shoes 😃

    • @upbeatgolfer
      @upbeatgolfer  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I agree! My favorite part of working with him is that he understands that everyone has a different swing and works with your tendencies/preferences, vs. trying to fit you into a specific Pro's swing (I've had that happen in the past). He's made a huge difference in my game over the last few years.

    32:52 Malaska Move?

    • @upbeatgolfer
      @upbeatgolfer  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't know enough about the Malaska move (just watched a quick video on it) but it does look similar! I think it's really about finding the right words for you to understand what you want to do, whether it be "shallowing the club" or "pulling the handle down" as Malaska says. Personally I have to be careful of focusing on pulling the handle down because I can get too armsy on the downswing 😅

    what are razor blades??

    • @upbeatgolfer
      @upbeatgolfer  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's a tip from Rory that he got from Jack Nicklaus -- in the takeaway, pretend there are razor blades just outside your hands so you need to keep your hands close to your right thigh as you take them back. He explains it in this video (it's free, but you have to log in with an email to see it) www.golfpass.com/watch/golf-features/tip-15-rory-mcilroy-razor-blade-takeaway

      Yup, that's it. Take a backswing, stop at the top, and then make your downswing. Tiger apparently hated this drill but it was super effective for him. (There's a video of him and Butch Harmon on Golf Channel Academy talking about it from ~2001)

    • @upbeatgolfer
      @upbeatgolfer  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm guessing you mean me standing over the ball?! Haha yeah I was trying to get everything right during the lesson - sometimes I actually don't have more swing thoughts but space out and keep doing waggles without anything really going on in my head. On the course though, I try to go with one swing thought (these days it's "stay behind the ball" ).
