God bless you man. I can tell you're a tremendously compassionate person.

My biggest issue is that I’m not always convinced that this feeling is OCD when it hits. I know that’s part of the OCD but seems like nothing is in your favor at that point. The body just reacts. A life of ups and heavier downs…

So sorry to hear how difficult this has been for you! OCD can definitely seem like it has all the advantages in this battle, but gradually and slowly you can tip those scales in your favor.

Yes! It's a hidden struggle. My ocd is strange but I guess everyone's is unique to the individual even though there are somewhat similar types of ocd.

@@renakmans3521 even though i do not have religious OCD, I am 100% convinced that my OCD is the worst type with the worst content too.

I think everyone with OCD tends to feel that their obsession is the worst. And I think it's because the various obsessions can "feel" very similar on an emotional level, and equally bad.

Can one recover from Ocd ? What is the honest answer
    Thanks

The honest answer is yes, but it's different for everyone. Some people will report feeling like they have no OCD anymore. Others will have more of a struggle, but get to the point of managing things well. Going through treatment is always a learning process of increasing your understanding of your OCD, and yourself, and setting your own personalized expectations!
