Yes, Layton was one of my best scent investments. Tried a tester of Carlisle in a luxury store and loved it. Lasted right into the next evening, MANY hours later. My next purchase 🤞🤞
Layton masculine? Eh, not so much. My girlfriend wears it. It's a vanilla/lavendar/apple scent. When I think of masculine scents I think of Tom Ford. Scents like Grey Vetiver, Ombre Leather, Tuscan Leather, Tobacco Oud, Oud Wood and Oud Minerale. And fragrances like Dior Fahrenheit, Bottega Veneta Pour Homme, YSL Kouros, YSL Rive Gauche, Azzaro Pour Homme and Paco Rabanne Pour Homme. Those are masculine scents. Layton is metrosexual at best.
Speaking as somebody who’s a fan of just about every single one of those you listed, I still must tell you that you missed the point of his video. His video is masculine fragrances that have a modern twist and that get you compliments. A lot of those fragrances that you listed don’t get you compliments anymore. I’m a huge fan of Paco Rabanne Pour Homme because I like the smell. But, these days, that doesn’t get me very many compliments except for women who are a little more mature than what I’m after. They work for women born around 1963 or 1966. They don’t work as well for women born around 1986. I do think he should’ve mentioned Dior Sauvage and Chanel Bleu though. I can’t imagine any women wearing those and they are serious complement monsters.
I don't mind wearing masculine sexy sweet fragrances at all. I even prefer them as they generally have more depth to it. I think the industry is just having creativity issues since pulling off a masculine AND sexy/appealing scent with no sugar whatsoever is hard, doesn't it? They just don't want to do the hard work for them monies, unfortunately. Haha
Is tiege Hanley stay $25 a month? I tried one of those subscription type skin care thing and it was $39 first month then went to $250 and was a pain in the ass to cancel and they kept charging me after that lol
@@jezebulls actually I checked after I posted that and it was $250 for a 3 month supply so every 3 months. But the 3 month supply lasted like a month n a half lol
Very nice list. I would add Amouage JupilationXXV and also Spicebomb. I really like Layton by PDM, but to me JupilationXXV is a better niche fragrance for around the same price if you search online. Another imo great scent is Egypt by Eight & Bob. It's also not a very common scent so you will stand out with it. It's biggest drawback is It's price, as it can be hard to find at discounters.
I know you don't usually make videos on cheaper fragrances, but have you ever made one on mens Avon colognes? I would love to hear your opinion on some of them.
I’m a fan. Aventus is overrated IMO. While it’s a nice cologne, it isn’t a $400 cologne. Montblanc is a great smelling cologne and especially for $50ish
Its a compliment beast. I have got so many compliments from woman it’s scary. At the first i didn’t like it that much but now it’s one of my favourite Parfum. And i have nearly 30 different expensive mostly Designer and Niche parfum.
Man I just tried explorer at the mall to sample, just 1 spray on my wrist. And I smelt it for 14 hours and after I woke up. This juice is crazy extreme. Idk where else they can take it!
Has anyone seen their pure xs bottles getting white spots around the sprayer after not using it for a while? i got pure xs and also night and I have realized that my "night" bottle has getting those white spots just like my other bottle that has run out and now when I spray it doesn't smell like it used to be and it has become very weak like you can't even smell it anymore. Has someone experienced this?
Guys with shitty genes and no sex appeal always think cologne is going to make women fall in love. I wear fragrances all the time, even some that would be considered kinda "femmy" like ultrared man, not to attract women though because i know genuinely don't give a shit about it. So annoying seeing so many desperate men looking for the right cologne to attract women meanwhile she's only interested in the top 5 of men and doesn't even know you exist lol. Shit is still shit even if you try to mask it with good smells.
I do some diy perfumery. One of the first things I noticed is that the best men's colognes incorporate some fragrance notes that are considered feminine. And the best women's colognes incorporate some notes that are considered masculine. The best savory dishes often include at least one ingredient that has some sugar. The best sweet pastries and desserts often include at least a little salt. Sometimes adding a contrasting note can elevate everything else around it. Just a different perspective. (That being said, it's best to use those other notes sparingly. At least if you want something obviously targeted at one gender.)
@@JayMannStuff I agree with that to. I once read that smells that get the ladies humming are other girls perfumes. But also agreeing with John..masculine frags make sense. Women! Always hard to figure out😂😂
Still "masculine & sexy" DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY "unisex" fragrances imho. I get so turned off by fragrance reviewers when they include unisex fragrances in their reviews. Every time I have bought one that ended up being "unisex", I've totally disliked it. I could tell there was feminine qualities to it. I want a 100% MANLY fragrance ONLY. Men's colognes that women would not ever wear but find sexy. Most fragrance reviews this is so hard to find them NOT including unisex fragrances. This is so frustrating & confusing. I want NOTHING to do with ANYTHING a straight woman would be willing to wear. Wanted By Night was an excellent masculine fragrance suggestion I 100% agree.

Men’s Fragrances are now in an era of way too much sweetness. We’re supposed to be masculine as men. You shouldn’t question if a cologne is for a man or a woman. Layton for example smells great, but way too sweet. I’d love to find a more masculine Layton. Any ideas??

The top of my Pure XS bottle opens up more than that. Makes it a little easier to spray.
I noticed your skin looks great before you mentioned it 😉 great video as always.
Am I the only one who gets excited when Chaos drops a review? Lol
