Houki is a genin , in the ANBU Black Ops & has an eye that’s not sharingan but can memorize Any image he sees which means he can copy your handsigns after see it ONCE! This is why Kakashi loves him so much!

The main point of using the Sharingan to copy jutsus isn't so that you have 1 more jutsu to use later. It's to anticipate the jutsu that your opponent is gonna use, and beat them to the punch with their own jutsu. Of course, this requires you to be faster than your opponent at weaving hand signs, which is something that simply takes practice.
@@MCSPARTAN501 other than movement analysis , genjutsu and smooth flow , houki still can learn the handsigns just by seeing , yes it's true that he cannot exactly use it on the point like Kakashi used to do with sharingan but he is still awesome . He's almost like kid Kakashi . Plus his photographic memory helps him memorize terrain and plan attacks for later , something neither of dojustu in the whole shinobi series has shown. He's also got good deduction skills , skills of anbu (just like Kakashi) and mind transfer resist.
What makes it unfair is actually his large manapool as a genin.

Houki photograph memory is OP. That’s close to having a Sharingan. If the writers play their cards right this man can be as strong as Kakashi.
He set the arena to his favor...... Not using much of chacra than needed....making the enemy go on all out and making them doesnt have enough time to think.... His skill probably already on boruto sarada and mitsuki level....thts impresive

Team 25 deserves more screentime, all 3 of them look really cool and it could have been awesome if they showed their efforts as anbu members more.

Houki and Inojin would be such a dangerous duo when I think about it. Imagine this. If Inojin learns his mothers jutsu where she can relay info to anyone, Houki can use this jutsu, and then Inojin can use Houki’s memory to send that info to his teammates who are also in this maze, and they could really screw a villain over in that maze since Houki, Inojin and whoever would be with them would know the layout

Not To Mention Literally All He Had To Do Was Go Up. Could Have Drawn Birds Just Like Sai And Had Aerial Advantage.(I Know That Means He'd Be Over Relying, But At The Same Time He Lost Cause Of Battle IQ).

Inojin problem is he’s cocky. He acts like sai but is cocky like Ino
if i was inojin, i would've laced the entire battlefield with explosives to flush my opponent out and prevent him from memorizing the area. once i get him out, i'd use mind transfer since i only have one shot at it.
I almost forgot this show was about ninjas until Houki reminded me with his how "ninja" he really is lol.
Naruto/Boruto was not really about ninja but more like wizards who act like they are ninjas.

When he fought Inojin, he remains calm and tactical because he knew Inojin's skillset and knowing how lethal his Yamanaka jutsu is.
Inojin on the other hand at the very first seconds of their fight, throw stuff that literally just distracts opponents.
Which gave Houki the hint of it, thus him summoning his Earth Domain like Jutsu, to distract Inojin on a large-scale.
Now I want more of this dude! I love that he's just another ninja no relations to any of the strongest and he looks up to kakashi too. He has so much potential but knowing the future we won't see much of him anymore.

Neji at least died as a hero protecting his comrades, but Kiba, Shino and Lee were done the most dirty, other not much actually as these 3. Shikamaru got great development, Chouji and Ino was decent too. But Lee, Kiba and Shino....sad.

Inojin has gotten stronger, but he shouldn't rely too much on his art. Gotta learn some kenjutsu and taijutsu.

This is exactly what I wanted to see in the Original Naruto series and Shippuden. Side characters being able to flourish without the forced additions of the main characters. The Original Chunin Exams were doing so well with it and it went downhill once Shippuden started.

A key detail, when Houki used his earth style, Iwabe commented and was surprised by the sheer volume Houki put out. It's impressive because Iwabe's considered the best earth style user, also being 2 years above the rest. However, Houki's second use of earth style broke a lot easier, which implies that he used the majority of his chakra for the first jutsu, especially since he only relied on Kunais and memory from then on.

@@kakashihatake4139 Yeah by the whole team to cover it up. That looked like an itachi attack rather than a simple counter. Sai and the others agreed that wasn't normal. His clan has a doujitsu that's selective. I'm banking on that's why he has it covered.
This guy's the most ninja acting ninja we've had in the show for a long time. Creating tough terrain for the enemy to use and hiding in it, all while memorizing the terrain itself so he is always at the advantage within it. That, and he can actually hurt enemies with Kunai. He has Kakashi's style with the mask and the headband over one eye, and his goal is to become Hokage. This guy is an anime protagonist, and only he knows it.

This fight was actually a lot better than I anticipated lol. The animation was quite fluid and pretty clean as well. Houki displayed amazing qualities for a chuunin. So did inojin as well icl. But did anyone notice the Houki had Intel on Inojins abilities but Inojin refused to get some on Houki? Ain't even bad for Houki to know tbh, but it does show how much stronger Inojin has gotten. So hyped for the next fights🔥🔥🔥
Yeah; it was a really good fight. I especially like how Inojin fared better here than he did against the puppet user in the previous exams; he showed a lot of growth even if he still ultimately lost (and I'm glad that Houki won as I was rooting for Houki).

i like houki because he's not one of those wannabe that copy kakashi's style just because it looks cool and then went full on arrogant. he actually want to be like him and as strong as him, and backs it up with hardwork and training. i hope he appear often and they explore his story because he definitely got potential to be a good character.
And born with a great gift photographic memory of that lvl where he can copy hand signs from one look and read details on very look alike walls and tell the difference at such speed is far beyond training this kid has potential
@@wild5851 Maybe that's why he idolizes Kakashi. He knows he was born with such a great gift and Kakashi was named the Copy Ninja. If there is anyone who he could look to as a mentor and inspiration it would be the guy who has a similiar skill set with memorization.
