    Love it. Iv'e recently been getting into ASMR channels on TH-cam as it helps with anxiety and to quiet my mind. Sometimes we need to just listen to the world around us instead of being loud ourselves. This is how inner peace can be found. Everyone has their own form of meditative practice and it seems even performing a world-class brake job can be that very practice. Thanks for trying something new and making great content as always!

    Eric you are going to cost me money. Video reminds me just how much I like working in my cars, and just how much it would be easier with a lift rather than ramps and stands. I know this may be weird by the strumming of the brake shields and the slight clang they make just tickles me right.

    • @ericthecarguy
      @ericthecarguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I used 2 different mics and mixed the sound in post. The most important thing is there was very little ambient noise outside the shop. A very rare thing. Between the truck repair shop next door, the independent truckers that park in the lot, the traffic, and the road construction out front, there is always a lot of noise. On this particular weekend, Halloween weekend, there was none of that. I took advantage and recorded this video. Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for the comment.

    I'm in Quebec. One of the worst place in the rust belt. It always bewilders me how easy a brake job is out of the rust belt. This brake job would not last 2 years here. The pads would seize in the brackets from rust swelling behind the clips after the first winter. I have use a heavy hammer to remove the pads from the bracket on a regular basis and it often take several hard blows to get them out. Amazing.

A good example of audio " balance " & " level " are the " School of Rock " ( shameless plug ) postings.
