It's funny, a lot of people complain that this game isn't Metal Gear or like to consider it non cannon. I think it has enough Metal Gear "isms" that make it feel familiar, but has that Platinum touch that makes it Goofy and fun. They obviously respect the "source material" but made their own vision. I'm a life long fan of the franchise and think this was a worthy title of the Metal Gear name. It explores a different aspect of the universe, while being a satire on today's politics and media. My only complaint is I wish the game was longer. I know most people would agree this is a more faithful spinoff than that piece of shit Metal Gear Survive.
Yet ironically, most of the konami staff who worked on MGR worked on Survive. The producer of the game too was the same. so was the cinematic director, and one of the main artist returned too for the game. The different is that MGR was a big spin off with two studios working on it (Plat for the gameplay and some design, Konami on the story, cutscenes and some design) while Survive was a small spin off closer to a MGO or MGA.
By far THE best fight cinematic clip ever put together! The music was smooth throughout! Can you just imagine if this was a real-life battle? Top Tier!

I've noticed how different the story is the fact that it's focusing more on Raiden background and him continuing with cybrog ninja suit still adavanced and if anyone noticed how much Sunny as grown as much as i miss Soild Snake he'll always be a legend to me :)
I truly hope they continue the story and the game franchise! It would fill my heart with joy to see the next soldier to bare the name of big boss and solid snake!!!

Why was he not popular among fans and critics, and I'm surprised that they didn't get a copyright flag from Midway because of the Mortal Kombat character.
kefka bro i think u miss an opportunity to express the game soundtrack trough boss fights i mean , you could edited better to fit with the songs for example the fight with metal gear ray could have been more epic if a montage of the fight fitting with rules of nature song actually if this game was a movie it would be a musical
I thought this game was really well done and a great move for raiden's character. Plus moving his story over to an action game made sense. I wish we could have gotten to see what the game would have been if kojima productions had been able to crack the code of such a game, but platinum games did an amazing job. I wish it had sold well enough to get a sequel, but in this day and age if you arent call of duty or fortnite or a sequel to an established franchise(and no, I dont consider rising a sequel to mgs...despite the name and universe. Also, metal gear had always been a niche title) then it isnt easy to sell enough copies to warrant a sequel in the eyes of konami.
Icydata123 the graphics are amazing especially on console, I was amazed by the graphics considering the Xbox 360 and ps3 specs. On Xbox one it looks fantastic too.
