You’re saying the trunk dosent latch properly, you have to close it hard in order for it to latch? If so try spraying some lubricant to make sure the components can move freely, or you may want to consider replacement of the latch.
@Angel Lopez yeah it doesnt latch right i have to slam it sort of to latch but still the trunk sits in too much and doesnt align with the body... will look in to getting a new latch probably

That brown connector is for the third brake light. That’s how it is powered
