The series was meant to introduce kate bishop. And from the comics you would know she is also Hawkeye. So HAWKEYE is not a side character. There is double the Hawkeye. And MCU have started introducing young Avengers and dark avengers/thunderbolts characters. Yelena, US agent, mademe hydra, abomination, Agatha, scopion, white vision & Kate bishop, Jaoquin (Falcon), Patriot, Stature, Wiccan and Speed, kid loki and possibly iron lad if they choose to go that direction with Kang. The only difference is most of these characters are teased or have a small part to play whereas here because of the comedy vibe they were looking for, Kate was a main because Clint was never set up to be a joker 24/7.
having actors from daredevil is cool but I think their not going make the show cannon. They might sense its been awhile from when kevin feige said the marvel shows before disney+ aren't cannon. I dont mind ither way.

I didn't know how to feel about this show, on one hand I loved most of Hawkeyes scenes and the chemistry between the 2 mains. On the other hand, Kingpin, all that work for daredevil to take him down and all the danger that the DareDevil had when facing him, and he got beat, by a (mostly) inexperienced teenager, I'm not okay with that. Add in the fact that I just don't like Yelena whom I think is annoying and a knockoff version of black widow, would be fine if she had her own personality but I don't see it , and the fact that Black widow sucked just didn't help. All in all, mixed feelings.
