that reaction to the owl scene was pretty much the same one I had, immediately thinking about the literal terror that is being shrunk down and devoured by an owl.
Actually, it's doubtful the owl would see the metal van as food, no matter how many squeaky screams may be coming from inside. It probably grabbed the van because it was small and moving and mouse-sized but one or two pecks and it will realize that the the vehicle tastes terrible. The owl will probably just abandon it in a tree after a while and fly off. Of course that might eventually lead to even more horrible consequences for the shrunk guys inside.

It was loosely implied that the reason Cross became so unhinged and evil was because of exposure to the particles without protection on top of some insecurity issues he had beforehand.
Hawkeye being a supporting actor in his own show is exactly what I was afraid would happen.
To be fair, the show (and the comic run it's based on) were introducing Kate Bishop as the next Hawkeye, so it makes sense she'd get slightly more focus than Clint. I still say we got plenty of focus on him, though.
C'mon man... If they called it the "Kate Bishop" show how many would even watch??
🤣
@@DreamsOfLegend I mean it's like saying would you watch a show named Clint Barton...
Because wahmen.
He wasn't a supporting actor at all. He was just not the only lead. He had an extremely large impact and agency in the show but so did Kate because they're introducing her. Personally think it was pretty well divided between the 2, only the first episode focused more heavily on Kate than Clint.
The silliest thing about this show was that he was able to survive falling from a building….but couldn’t climb down a tree 💪
He’s not Natasha
Hawkeye got stuck in a tree for the majority of the finale. The mcu really likes making Hawkeye look pathetic.
As silly as that undeniably is, it's not even in my top 10, tbh. :-/
How about roughly a thousand TSM guys arriving for the final battle with not a gun between them?!
@@shisah5544 I'm sorry how does being a trained assassin have anything to do with climbing a tree? He's a damn Avenger.
Her "solution" was pretty silly too. But what's not silly in this show?
This is formulaically one of the best skit types on TH-cam. It's so good. Well done, man.
I'm starting to think Screen Rant makes those articles at the end just for the pitch meetings 😂
Lol
"So you've got an article for me?"
"Yes sir I do. I was thinking you could make a funny video to promote it, if that's not too difficult"
"It'll be super easy, barely an inconvenience"
That last episode I kept saying where are the damn cops lol
My exact same reaction
Larping, apparently
Simplest explanation is that Kingpin used his influence to have them not show up. He supposedly 'runs the city' and a corrupt police force is hardly a stretch.
No more cops they got defunded
Defunded
I've just discovered these Pitch Meetings and oh my God are they hilarious! Well done!
You’ve got a lot to catch up on.
Welcome to the club
You’re in for a wild ride
Discovering pitch meetings is tight
I envy you
Thank you, Ryan, for expressing the true horror of them tinyfying that van with people inside it. I found that part to be extremely awful as well.
I was once shrunk down and then eaten by an owl. It was HORRIBLE. Wouldn't wish it on anyone.
@@dashx1103 Were you puked back up later as a pellet?
"He randomly bit him?"
"Because the man is a bad guy and the dog is a good boy!"
"A very good boy!"
You know you read that in Ryan's voice.
VERY Good Boy
This was absolutely the most believable thing that has happened in the MCU 💯
5:19 She was also in the back of a nearby parked car and manages to get into the front, drive down the road and back without either of them noticing, in the space of about a minute or 2.
I had to rewatch the scene to fully understand what happened, it was ridiculously silly.
Wait, was it a full electric car? Those things are great at sneaking up on distracted pedestrians...
LOL, I pictured an Austin powers type turn around to get the car in just the right position. All while no one notices.
"She is inspired by Hawkeye during the events of the first Avengers movie when she is a very young little girl, then she spent many years training in Archery, Judo, and mastering various skill-sets and medaling in multiple different Olympic games, so that now all grown up she can be like Hawkeye."
"Oh wow I'm old."
True, but the MCU is 5 years ahead of us so, at least, you can subtract 5.
“Might be considered terrorism” caught me completely off guard and I have been laughing in tears nonstop.
**Kingpin shows up**
HE’S FROM THE STREAMING SHOW WITH A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT VIBE!
"Won't the audience find it jarring that this character once destroyed a business associates head with a car door over embarrassing him is now running a Saturday morning cartoon mafia gang?"
".....wow, I hadn't thought of that!"
"So you're going to use a different more fitting character for this show?"
"I already wrote this and think about the subscriptions we'll get from word of mouth!"
"I do like money! okay!"
@@intense79nick Not only that, but his attire (which I know the actor sourced from a comic book,) was off putting. He looked like an old man on vacation in Hawaii. I would have preferred the slick, powerful look of the cuff link dress shirt from the Daredevil series. And the way they made him superhuman. Yes, I know he’s all muscle in the comics, but I loved the way they humanized him in Daredevil. He could punch a hole through a wall, but still feel the pain. Here, he got hit by a car and got blasted by an explosive and just walked it off. It was a weird shift in tone in a show about a hero who is just human without superpowers.
Just wait until Jessica Jones cameos in She-Hulk.

I like how someone finally brought up that Kate and Hawkeye brutally murdered those guys.
They were just cartoons so... =P
Kate killed so many people in this show lol. Hilarious that she never even reacts to burning 5 men to alive to claim her first lives… Now that I think about it, I don’t think any character brought up her having zero emotion after killing dozens of people.
technically Heilee Steinfeld is Hawkeye and Jeremy Renner just Clint Barton in this show :P
@@IIISentorIII well “technically” no, she is not Hawkeye yet in the show. She won’t become Hawkeye until her first movie appearance, I assume.
I love that the producer's fourth 'wow' always comes after a pause.
"Jingle all the way?"
"No, they just make normal walking sounds."
Looking forward to the Day when Hawkeye will get his own show! So excited!
Oooh yeah, and Loki too ... in a multiverse spin off show where Thor doesn't become an obese Emo-Man Baby 🤣🤣
“How does he find her / i dont’ know! / alright” : perfection. I am impressed by Ryan’s mastery of his craft, the delivery is so good
“Cause this man’s a bad guy and this dog’s a good boy.” Best line ever.
Exactly that owl thing with the tiny guys was really gruesome if you think about it
He said not to think about it. Knock it off.
Let's just... Not.
Sad we haven't gotten more individual harry potter pitch meetings! Must be very difficult and an inconvenience.
I've noticed when he does these long series they tend to be for filler weeks without a big current movie/show to cover
Hawkeye being number two in his own show is TIGHT!!!!!!
Except he wasn’t
@Lone Wolf eh, objectively he was. They TRIED to avoid it. But he clearly wasn't the main protagonist.

Did something happen? No Pitch Meeting this week...
my heart is broken
"He's in that streaming show with the completely different vibe!"
I just finished season 3 of Daredevil yesterday and this is just so true.
I want a Daredevil series pitch meeting now.
Love these. You should do pitch meetings for the Blade Trinity movie series and the Underworld series
Hell Yeah they should!!!!!
Yes! Absolutely they should.
This!! Also the Matrix movies!!
@@Dinchev666 I have good news for you. He's already done all four of them.
I'll be here for that!
The MCU has now officially become a real life comic book. No character is really dead. They can be brought back by time travel, being a skull, or being an alternate universe version. Love it!
I am assuming skull was autocorrect for Skrull?
@@catthemeg336 obviously you never replaced the body of someone you killed with a skull and hope no one noticed
HOORAY! NO STAKES! NOTHING MATTERS!!!
@@catthemeg336 No. I'm sure Erik didn't want to spoil anything, but, plot twist! Doctor Strange is actually just fermated a head in a jar whose been projecting a physical illusion of his body *this whole time*.
.... Or it was autocorrect. But, like, can you say for 100% that Marvel wouldn't try to pull that off?
Soooo... dead has become meanigless and there's no stakes about it?
Got it.
I know you know this already, Ryan but you are one of the best things to ever happen to TH-cam! Stay safe and awesome my friend!
I love how excited the boss gets every time a character from a different mcu movie is mentioned for a new cross over haha
Definitely killed it with bad guy and good boy. I paused for a minute, because I could stop my laugh.

Haven't watched the show, but this episode was pure joy. Thanks, Ryan!
While I loved how cartoony this show was, I've gotta say, I had the exact same reaction to the owl 😬

I can already see the producer guy saying that it is super dark when the kids get hit by the laser as everything has been exploding, but it's fine as the baseball apparently blocked the explosive part of the beam not the shrinking part.
“Ooooehw that’s a very good boy” had me in tears more than it should 😅
New and old pitch meetings make my day. You should really do one for the show "Two and a half men" I bet that would be hilarious!
I was really hoping Ryan would mention the random musical in the post credits
How was it random? It was foreshadowed in the first episode allready. ;) The exact same musical. Nothing random about it at all. ;)

CGI away my friend!
Coming back to this after watching the first episode of Echo and finding out Kingpin is in fact somehow still alive and realizing Ryan was right all along lol.
When the owl flew away with the truck, I for real felt bad for those guys
My thoughts exactly.
Yup
Same, Probably just doing what they can to get by
Agreed
I'm gonna need you to get all way off my back about how Kate's mom managed to get into the front seat of the car, turn it 90 degrees, and get enough distance to hit Kingpin at 70 mph while offscreen.
When Kingpin hit Kate's mum with the car, I lmfao 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
polish fun fact: actor Piotr Adamczyk who played Tomas (that tracksuit guy whom Kate helped with his love life) is quite famous in Poland and practically the whole talk about the series was just about him. Adamczyk once played John Paul II so my headcanon is that the pope became Marvel's villain

Is it weird that I loved the pitch meeting more than the actual show?

Perfect review. Hit every point.😂
Also, I feel like Kingpin doesn't get enough credit for counterintuitively being like the single most emotionally vulnerable character in the entire MCU.
