I have dealt with Depression and Anxiety all my life and when Taylor mentions her Dad told her to get a spoonful of peanut butter and knuckle through it? That's my life, right there. Mom used to make me PB&J sammiches when I was a kid and to this day I make my own. I don't need anti-depressants. I have peanut butter. That's MY arm floaties. Talking about arm floaties, I have almost drowned twice in my life. Once in the deep end of a pool when I was in single digits and once at the Gulf of Mexico during a high school choir trip. The school quarterback literally grabbed me and dragged me to shore. Saved my life. If I ever went back to a pool? I'd wear arm floaties. I use a cane nowadays cuz about a year or so ago my left knee gave out on me. It's fine now. Makes cracking noises and still hurts some days but whenever I leave the house I take the cane even tho i don't REALLY need it anymore, cuz I also get dizzy spells randomly. That cane is now my arm floaties on land. So someone else doesn't have to pick me up off the ground when I fall down for no good reason. That's my time! You guys have been great! Tip your waitresses! Peace!
After my Achilles tendons healed, I still kept my crutches in my car, in fear I might suddenly need them again. After about two years I started to feel stupid and paranoid. Then I tore my patellar tendon at work. So grateful I had those crutches in my car.
I can relate to this joke about being labeled with Bipolar disorder: 1:28 "It's was a very tough pill to swallow. *And, I've swallowed a lot of pills."* (I took lithium for over 20 years, until recently.)
I tried to explain my depression to my Dad once. 😂 Never again. I may as well have been speaking German to a Mexican. 😂 And you could tell he genuinely wanted to help, but he just couldn't understand.
I had a flashback to when I was a kid. My mom would tell me to eat some peanut butter when I was down. Turns out I was depressed. Diagnosed at 30. Now 52 and forever grateful for my meds. I still like peanut butter 😊
I don't know why they took the arm floatie bit out of this video, but if you search for "taylor tomlinson arm floaties" here in TH-cam you should be able to find it.
@@jv-lk7bc I think TH-cam uses AI to analyze clips for duration for strikes. I'm trying to remember where I saw a creator talk about it; I think it was Hannah Alonzo.
The company that owns Taylor Tomlinson's videos uses computer programs to search TH-cam for illegal copies. So channels that have these illegal copies have to make crazy changes to their videos to make them different than the original. This makes the video harder to detect. Otherwise the company will find it and order TH-cam to delete the channel.
Yeah, see, I am neither hot nor talented enough and I still get "you're an inspiration" constantly, so. It's basically inescapable. It's relatively known that it's shitty to be a prick to people because of any mental illness, so people have all gone the "oh wow, you've had it so hard, you poor thing, you're so strong" reaction and honestly, over it. Novel suggestion: how about we're just people now? Thanks.
This is exactly what happened to me when I was diagnosed a year ago 😂😂😂😂
She is GREAT!!!!

At least you have a sense of humor about it.

Why was the arm floatie explanation cut out around the five minute mark??

Maybe to avoid a copyright strike.

1:11 camera? editting? going for some edgy cinematic effect I can't quite brain? does bipolar make you see things to the left?
