- Although steamed eggs may seem simple, the failure rate is quite high. Many people excel at cooking complex dishes but struggle with steamed eggs. This dish requires precise proportions and timing.
Remember these three points, and I guarantee that your steamed eggs will never fail again.
1. Heat the water directly to around 90 degrees Celsius and gradually add it to the egg mixture while stirring. This ensures that the egg mixture is quickly and evenly heated.
2. Use a ratio of 1 egg to 75ml of water. Unless the eggs are exceptionally small, this ratio should be accurate.
3. Steam for ten minutes and let it sit for five minutes. This helps to control the cooking time better.

Thank you and glad you enjoyed this recipe. I've had this dish since I was a kid, but don't make it very often and it often fails. Until I discovered the secret, one is the ratio, the ratio of eggs to water is 1:1.5, the other is the water temperature, pour boiling water into the measuring cup, the temperature is just right. Another point is the container. Note that mine are ceramic containers. If it is a thin metal container, you can steam for a minute less.
