This simple, affordable device will allow you to easily transfer fuel between camping fuel canisters, ensuring that you #dontpackahalfie ever again. You can now consolidate all our partially used fuel canisters, or like me, use a large can to keep my smaller canister topped off.

Yeah… I’m bad at keeping track of how much water I boil to really know how far a tank goes… now I can just pack 1-2 little small ones for most of my trips.

I got a similar tool in the mail today too, it works well. Whenever I buy a canister I write what it weighed underneath in marker, if it doesn't specify a gross weight. Then I can weigh it and know exactly how much has been used up.
Yes, there are a few other similar products on the market now. Smart idea with the marker. I haven’t bought a can yet that doesn’t have Gross weight yet, but there a handful of haven’t bought yet.
This is amazing! Always so paranoid about running out of fuel bc I don't keep track of how much I've used 😂
Pretty easy to use…. And found that if your cans are a room temp, just freezing one for 15-20 min is plenty good enough to transfer fuel.

Great video. I just wish there was a way to fill the larger containers like with propane tanks for camping in the van.
There is… kind of. I’ve seen propane valves adapter on Amazon to transfer form a BBQ to the little green camping tanks, but I personally would be scared too. I would instead get something like a camp-chef stove and one of the tall narrow 10lb tank & fill at Costco
@@SaltyBeard_Adventures I as referring the refilling the larger iso tanks like we do with propane. I carry 2 3 lb tanks for the van for daily cooking. I still hate to see all the waste of the large iso tanks even it is recycled.
@@devinquince5335 ah... when you mention van.. thought you were talking about propane. I've never gone looking for larger Iso-Pro fuel in larger tanks. I usually just turn to propane at that point. Iv'e only found 16oz / (1.7lb gross) as the largest. I use those to fill my small ones.
That is why I only use alcohol. Hot enough and you can get it anywhere. Good for all kinds of things!

My North Island trip was before bikepacking.com released their featured"Sea To Tree" route. Their route requires you to take a private boat between the two communities. There is no other alternate route if you are set on doing the route as Miles designed it. As both communities are both "out and back" routes. My alternate is from Gold River, ride north along Nimpkish Rd, past Muchalat Lake, west on Vernon lake road and north along the east side of Vernon Lake, North along Rona Cutoff Rd, past Woss, staying on the west side of Nimpkish River, continuing North along Nimpkish Haul road to Anutz Lake... email me directly if you want other options or ideas.

Great idea to just buy a bigger canister and continually refill a micro-sized one.
that's my plan moving forward, unless I'm going on a long trip over 3 days. After a few of those trips, I can merge a few medium sized cans.
