a really fun game (and happy birthday) but one thing is that Darksteel Splicer makes those golem tokens both on ETB and whenever a nontoken Phyrexian ETBs so I think Marie would have gotten another three when she cast that Phyrexian Gargantua
I personally find that design between landfall and aristocrats pretty interesting. You can fully lean into either mechanic, or - perhaps strongest - mix the two, but you'll have to be careful how to balance them. Not having access to White or Red (the usually strongest supporting colors for aristocrats) limits the aristocrats-aspect somewhat, balancing the strong Simic colors to an extent. Of course, you could always be boring and just play Simic landfall feat. Black, but I think you would be missing out in that case.
Happy (belated) birthday, and glad to hear you're recovering from your cold! One little quibble: On turn 7, Brimaz's proliferation shouldn't have triggered, because no Phyrexians actually died that turn - Kalitas doesn't exile nontoken creatures *after* they die, but exiles them *instead* of letting them die. (Brimaz would have triggered had Maxime blocked a token [with enough power to kill it, of course], since Kalitas does specify that his replacement effect only applies to nontoken creatures, but as it was on this turn, only Brimaz and Psychosis Crawler were killed-into-exile.)
I like this showcase of slimefoot because mirror march is so cool. I realized he did a whole lot of nothing with like 20 lands only to lose to the person next in turn order. My list is way faster and lower mana curve. It was still a really fun watch i might build a second version of slimefoot like that

The Splicer is actually even better in a phyrexian tribal build because it makes golems whenever ANY nontoken Phyrexian comes into play. I've put it in my Phyrexian Tribal build and the value is just overwhelming, essentially making any phyrexian you play into an army in a can.
My Jund deck is basically a permanents only deck with Jund good stuff. Little bit of token generation for aristocrat reasons. And I can switch out between legendaries a lot, and most of em work. (Prosh + Korvold being the most oppressive of the lot though obviously). Korvold, Ziatora, Henzie, Prosh, and Vaevictis Asmadi, The Dire. Slimefoot and Squee is also in it since i got him from a booster.....
Classic blunder. Letting the Sultai player have time to accumulate value. Great game and the precons are really built well nowadays in comparison to even a few years ago.
Yeah I really feel like Marie got really aggressive towards max despite the fact he was clearly not a front runner. The other decks were way scarier at that point. Tho I probably would’ve swung at Felix to be fair cuz of all the shenanigans he was doing
Wouldn't the Zimone and Dino loop not have worked like that? The land wouldn't have been able to bounce itself while Zimone and Dina's ability was resolving. Would have still been able to draw infinite cards, but couldn't have made infinite tokens.
You are correct, the infinite draw would have lead to other lands and likely another bounce land though and that would have made infinite tokens, you only really need the one token to drain the table though which was going to be the win con.
Tutoring every turn and multiple times a turn is pretty scary but idk what combos a human deck can pull off, I do know that the angel can be used in some combos though.
Combos are cool and all but ending the game sooner rather than later may not be the best idea when you're trying to showcase new commander's. Just my two cents
@@i-manic1292 that's your opinion. I'm not saying it ended super fast it just makes sense to have a game like this come to more natural conclusion instead of ending to some basic combo. And honestly I don't feel the katilda and Lier deck fired on all cylinders like the rest. And you had a precon in the game that did really well but really isn't equipped to deal with a value deck just accelerating into a combo.
The human deck tutored 3-4 times in a two turn period likely forming its own combo with the angel of glory’s rise. The zimone and Dina combo was a 4 card combo found without tutoring. What do you consider a natural conclusion? Not every deck or strategy is going to be battle cruiser winning in the combat step. A basic combo would be 1 or two card combos like tooth and nail, protean hulk, or finale of devastation. Not a 4 card combo.
Best commander gameplay channel on TH-cam, hands down
Why are your hands down?
With how much the Command Zone has sold out, this is very true.
@@jameszamora763 but did they?

Second this!
=O
And when she re casts brimaz
HB! 🎉
The draksteel splicer is even greater because it's triggers for each phyrexian non token coming to play, not just him.
Happy Birthday! Awesome content as usual!
Happy birthday! Hope you get to enjoy it Drew!
Zimone & Dina seems very powerful, but is also probably my least favorite design out of these new legends team-ups lol
also, happy birthday, chief!

Oh hey! Happy birthday Muddstah!
Happpy birthday Muddstah!
Was Brimaz played due to title card constraints? 😂
Happy birthday, man. Great work at the channel
Happy Birthday!
And that's a lot of names for one title
Happy birthday!
Glad that you're feeling better!
Great game as always.

Loved seeing all the new cards! Brewing Zimone and Dina is my next deck

I'm still waiting on it. I'll try and update it once I get the list!
Happy belated birthday!

Next year can it be a battle for your birthday, where you and the person who wins swap birthdays.
I loved this episode - themed pods are some of my favorites!
*Generic birthday noise* Happy birthday Muddstah!
Happy birthday
Happy B-day!
I love the playmat vibes.
Happy birthday! I turned 21 yesterday!

love the Brimaz precon idea
Any update on the Zimone amd Dina decklist?

I don't think Seb got the memo to bring red sleeves
will the zimone and dina deck list be eventually added to the description?

Katilda and lier seem very interesting and fun.
Happy birthday! 😁
Marie, why didn't you bring a +1 to this party? 😢
Yeah I really feel like Marie got really aggressive towards max despite the fact he was clearly not a front runner. The other decks were way scarier at that point. Tho I probably would’ve swung at Felix to be fair cuz of all the shenanigans he was doing
Lmao, the 15th was my birthday xD

Didn’t seb kept missing his commander passive ability? He drew two cards in a turn doing his tap ability so shouldn’t the passive ability trigger ?
I need a mtg Muddstah coin!
i am really impressed by Brimaz. Just wish his first wall of text was an eminence ability.
Great game ...until the anti-climactic, boring, and lazy infinite combo win. Please record at least occasional "no infinite" games.
Sorry you didn't enjoy this one! We have games that finish without infinite fairly often.
Reanimator, Sultai anything, bant humans and the target is....humans. Threat assessment is oof here.
Tutoring every turn and multiple times a turn is pretty scary but idk what combos a human deck can pull off, I do know that the angel can be used in some combos though.
2:16 imagine being this annoying. Just CRACK your bauble now or at next upkeep. Talk about these tedious plays that really extend games.
Combos are cool and all but ending the game sooner rather than later may not be the best idea when you're trying to showcase new commander's. Just my two cents
Fun game though over all.
Nine turns isn’t really ending the game fast, every deck showcased what it does… what do you want?
