I have a felling like Matt is that player that always makes the strongest deck on the table , by accident more than intent

Not even always about the deck, he just seems to be the best overall player at the table seen that many times playing magic
I honestly have to give you guys props. Yall do a great job of showcasing the power and potential of upcoming commanders and through multiple videos not just a 1 and done like gameknights. For a set that isnt even out. So yall do it way earlier than any other content creator even compared to my favorite channel MTG The Stack. No one else does this on youtube literally. So keep it up! I hope yall keep pumping out MoTM content with previews coming out soon.

@@TheDankestDungeon Like I got hyped for Heliod after watching this and started deckbuilding. When I saw the preview I knew it was good but sometimes you cant comprehend the potential without seeing it in action.
I still want to see slimfoot and squee pop off. Reanimate Razaketh, do some altar loops and make those infinite saprolings!

Poor Omnath. Poor elemental can't catch a break. Lovely game guys. General consensus in my play group is that the new omnath isn't that great so I figured that whoever played it would struggle
We don't think he's bad, he's all five colors and he does relevant things so there's got to be ways to build him to do some work!
@@TheDankestDungeon I think at the level you guys play he will be tough to get going - with all the interaction you guys have as well. If you do a lower level game I think the opposite and he would just take off. If you want to keep it spicy it would just be a matter of putting the typical lower cost competitive staples with a few spice cards. I been running him on Brawl just to get a feel - if he gets going it gets wild.

I LOVE the new Heliod. Can be extremely explosive. However, the commander is a bit easy to shut down and if it is shut down the deck does not function at all. And for people playing against it, I don’t think they’ll let it do its thing a second time after having lost to it once. Good thing it is in the premier control colors so can dig itself out of a whole like it did here. Coveted Jewel in and Memory Jar are just too great in the deck.
He's very powerful if you can keep him on board for a turn, or if you're swimming in mana like Matt was here.

This episode started out a bit sad for me with Matt saying he wasn't going to play (mass) land destruction because of TH-cam comments. Then he comboed off in glorious fashion and restored my faith in the channel.

@@stormincorbyn thankfully i run mana echoes, mana geyser and doubling cube. Among some smaller cards like dark ritual and seething song, sudden big bursts of mana to your mana pool! It adds up quicker than you think!

It actually wins off of prosperity itself alongside angels grace. Because whats more fun than making everyone shuffle up together?
any kind of game is fun as long as it's balanced in power.
I think you guys should play with more cheaper decks, seems like every commander game everyone get the same cards, Smothering, Rhistic, Remora, the artifact that gives 3 mana.. I think if you guys lower this power levels it will be fun to watch everyone playing.

Yeah, we're going to be mixing it up a bit with power levels. This is the power we typically play at, but we're going to try and get in some games with budget/card restrictions to have a wider variety of content :)

Damnit. I already have literally all the Linvala cards and have two of them in my Blue White flyers deck. Kinda annoyed that this one is White Black honestly cause that 2nd ability is something you don't see in White. I mean that is one BROKEN card in my opinion. There's already Linvala Keeper of Silence which has ONLY the first ability and that card is already super powerful as it is at only 4 mana cost, so...IDK not sure what they were thinking with this one

why doesn't anyone pack removal in their decks?
So my only issue with this, was that Eddie couldn't have been targeted by the offering, but you could have targeted someone else instead.
Offering doesn't target, it "chooses," a lot of clone spells also do this and can get around targeting. It's weird, but sometimes Magic is just weird!
I would be curious to see an Heliod artifact deck

I'll say drannith defeats the purpose of edh buuuut it does fit the flavor so I can only be so mad.

Matt is honestly my least favorite player to watch in these series of commander games.
Much agreed, it feels like when it is his turn, all I have left to do is waste five minutes of my life watching him win-each and every time.
@@onqd I mean, I usually take longer than Matt to combo. I just make more jokes while I do it 😅. Most of the decks I build had more non-deterministic lines than not though... because I'm about that life

I really dont like Matt for several spite plays, but I acknowledge him as a good pilot. Why isnt he playing Omnath? Brent sadly dissapointed most of the times, and the last 3 videos it felt like a 3 player game (Sorry Brent😢).
