The 60d will output the captured audio straight to the camera. It has an automatic slate option that will play a syncing signal at the start and end of a recording.

Is ZXTECH saying the captured audio out to the camera is crappy? @4:37 I can't tell if he is saying the audio to camera is crappy - Or if just the sound monitoring of it (eg, headphones) is noisy....?

If you came here because you could not find any other doubting or negative reviews on the Tascam dr60d-mkII like me, then first of all skip to 5:10 as before that it is just talking how great the device is. This video gets a big thumbs down from me because in the end the reason of selling has nothing to do with the Tascam itself and most of all you have to listen to 5 minutes of positives about the Tascam before you can find out that the reason is not device related. Very irritating and a waist of time. My critics are mostly that the title does not cover the video and the video is one big waiting to find out the clue. The clue to me is ballony. I stopped it at 6:58 so I have idea what happens after that

So in conclusion. If you value production output over quality dont use it, how do you break that to your client, sorry i dont care how good you want the prodution to be, i dont have time to give you a good finish, there was me thinking sound was as important as the video

The batteries are really easy to get out of the device, just use the black band and pull it -.-"

So after five minutes of listening to how good the device actually is, it turns out you sold it because you never bothered to figure out how to use it properly. Forgetting to press record is YOUR issue, not that of the recording unit, and it has a built in slate function; how much easier does it get to sync audio with that kind of functionality. You sold a perfectly decent piece of kit because of a laxidasical workflow attitude...
