    thanks man great response.. much better than those "scholars" who try speaking sophisticated and just cram the audiance with references from this book and references from that book without analysing the issu itself

    2:20 I agree with Brother Nouman here. Even at home when there is recitation on the TV, there are a group of people who feel uncomfortable with it on and will walk out of the room.

    Subhanallah, he spoke the truth, when I used to listen to music, I could not stand to hear the quran, it was almost hurtful to my ears. Now I find peace in it. I love music but its not worth an inch or even an atom of my Imaan.

    I am muslim i love hip hip i listen to it everyday of my life and i am thinking of being a rapper when i grow up. This guy is so right. my mum so religious she listen to naats Soon as she puts it on i get so annoyed with it i tell her to turned it off. This gut makes complete sense.

    100% agreed - and so is the FATWAA and so is what is observed from the lives of the Prophet SAW, Buzurgan-e-Deen like Sahabaa, Tabayeen, Taba Tabayeen - the original and genuine source of ISLAM - it nerver ecisted in Muslim life until very late

    As Saalamu Alaykum, the brother is correct regarding about music it's really bad, it does not do nothing for you but put bad things into your life.

    It's true that those into music r usually less keen on other aspects of Islam. It's usually because music causes the brainwashing or music is a symptom of something else.
    In either case,calling him shaytan will only aggravate him more and make it a battle of defending egos/personalities. Best thing is to be calm,do dua4him,lead by example,explain u only want best4him,perhaps show him the video of napolean or loon-2 music stars who became Muslim & realised errors of their past ways

    alhamdulillah I turn away from these stuffs already for a month now and when I thought I'm addicted to it I realized I'm not :) I even deleted every song I have in my phone even the downloaded I used to use hearing someone recite the Quran and then recite it after by having a Quran in your hand is better than memorizing song lyrics that are obviously just taking our time away and indeed time flies death is getting near.

  • @darklight254
    @darklight254  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Though that point is not addressed in the video, I might as well say it frankly. Musical instruments (apart from the duff/drum where there is some flexibility) are prohibited.

    Assalamu alaykum,
    Thanks for the positive comment.
    I agree that Nouman Ali Khan does try and relate evidences and texts to real life, engaging the audience.
    I do not know what scholars you are referring to or what references you are referring to, but we do value textual evidences greatly. The Quran itself is an evidence, as are the hadith clearly prohibiting music.
    Forgive me if I have misunderstood your comment.
    Salam

    @darklight254 I do respect Hadiths but its the interpretation that i dont accept sometimes. It's just that it took me a long time to find a video that has a convincing contention about the prohibition of music in Islam . Thanks for your polite response i really appreciate it :)

  • @gueroloko08
    @gueroloko08 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    their message behind it kind of defines it for the people who are not Islamic or Muslim. These men are Muslim. For instance 2Pac recites "spiritual lyrics" like the Holy Qur'an". I admit not all of his albums were as such, yet they did coincide with the Ahadith where Rasool Allah(SAWS) says, there are people who live a life as if they were dwellers of Hellfire and then what has been written for them at birth in invocation to their attitude they are actually dwellers of Paradise and vice versa.

    It's not so much about the time, rather this video was discussing the immoral content many people post on facebook. If you don't see anything haram e.g. people's awrahs - (parts of the body which shouldn't be exposed to non-mahrams) etc. it should be ok in sha Allah.
    As a general rule it is discouraged to waste time on things that have no benefit.

    "The music artist do not care about you they dont know you they just want your money, so you have to be smarter than that, Please just listen to quran every single day it will help"
    Absolutely agree!
    Qur'an 12:104: And you (O Muhammad SAW) do not ask of them for it any payment (the Quran). It (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder and an advice unto the 'Alameen (mankind, jinn & all that exists).

    Its clear from a hadith in Bukhari. I hope you are aware that a Muslim has to follow both the Qu'ran and the Sunnah.
    Narrated Abu 'Amir or Abu Malik Al-Ash'ari that he heard the Prophet saying, "From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks, and the use of musical instruments as lawful.
    May Allah guide us all.

    @sheptropremix thats completely true, some non believers can say the " women are subjegated", but the hypocracy is rich here, there pumping 50 cent, tupac y.money into there ears. whats the one thing they talk a lot about - women and refer to them as "bitches"/"hoes", at least we have the respect to lower our gaze
