Do you know is multi floor capacity available for Dreame d9 and how to use it. I keep trying, it kind of allows me to create 2nd map, but does not save it (there is no "save" button anywhere). Could you please help me with this? you may try to create two fake floors by different rooms to test :)
It should save without you having to select save, but it will need to finish mapping the floor first before it will save. If you interrupt the process it will not completely save. Also you have to manually switch between the maps when you move the D9 to a new floor.
Got the d9 this week. To save a new floor map, you have to transfer the robot AND the dock to the new floor, run it once so it can create the new map, wait for it to dock and WAIT for the notification on your phone that it's done cleaning. The new map will then appear on your phone and allow you to save/rename it too. I went nuts trying to save a new map for about 3x WITHOUT the dock (I only transferred the bot to the 2nd floor) so once it was done cleaning, it couldn't go back to dock (duh). The key here is to have the dock on the new floor as well so the bot can dock and notify on your phone that it's done. Without the dock, it can't notify you thus not allowing you to save the new map. Hope that helps.
Help please! 😭 My D9 vacuumed the entire apartment but I still get the “map is not finished” message when trying to use the Map Management features. How do I get to mark the map as completed?
Hello Betty. You must delete the current map and start a new Full house cleaning. To get it to complete the map it must start and finish the mapping process on its own uninterrupted. If you cancel it or stop it before it is finished it will not save the map. It will only save the map once it has docked. Hope this helps!
@@jamie.andrews thanks! It did the trick but now it has mapped a room that’s not there. I tried conduct it to that room with the remote control but it’s impossible to get to that area. I think it’s a room at my neighbor’s. I guess I’ll have to reset it again and hopefully it won’t map that area.
During mapping, not all rooms were scanned. Some doors are closed because they open in the corridor. I managed to evolve the map with the missing rooms but I can't figure out how to save it. When I enter map management it shows the original one. But you can't merge, split, name the one not in the map manager. Any ideas? I don't have the experimental features, and no option to save the map
You need to do a full house cleaning with those room doors open. No specific room cleanings. After it finishes you can split and name those new rooms. Another option is to start over and delete and recreate the map. I am not sure what model you have, but it could have a fast mapping option if you do start over.
@@jamie.andrews want to avoid starting. I can't do a full clean because the doors are blocking the way. This is why I had to do it in steps so I could get the robot at the right place and then move the door. My idea is to have the rooms in the map and selectively vacuum them
@@chat-1978 Sandly I do not think you have a choice. It will discover new areas on a room cleaning, but not update the map with those areas. Most robots are this way except maybe iRobot.
@@jamie.andrews after a days of experimentation I realized that it is auto saving. It is now referred to as "current map". You can restore to previous states. Once a room is named then it won't disappear because there was a closed door. So you can build it up. One thing that is important is that you need to allow it to dock to trigger the save. The shortcut is to clean zones or rooms close to the missing one to keep it shorter.
@@Utking3 Thanks. I did update the title. Although the new app is out I suspect many people of these older robots still use the MI Home App. This video was made almost 1 year ago when it was only the MI app. I think once you get on they are fairly similar in functionality.
Does the Z10 Pro 'remember' or map where it's docking station is? My current robovac's dock is recessed in a nook/niche that is only accessible from one direction in a corner of the room. Being a few years old it doesn't have a mapping feature and it has never (unless by chance) found it's way back to base and I return home to a dead vac which I return to its base manually. This is the reason I am looking at Lidar vacs, so I can send it out to do a chore and have it return to it's base by itself... Cheers.
You could create multiple schedules. One with rooms that get cleaned once and once with rooms cleaned twice. The suction setting is per schedule. I would set mine to balanced and turn on carpet boost.
@@jamie.andrews Right. Would I have to set the schedules far enough apart to let the vacuum dock each time or can it follow these multiple schedules on the fly ?

I am not able to split the area. The answer is always (indipendent from where i put the red dot of the splitting line): the line must be inside the grey limits
It can be tricky. Try moving the line inside or outside the room a bit.
There is no "rename" button on my app, it only allows me to split or merge on map management. Do you have any idea how can i fix this?
The rename only works for certain models. What model do you have?
Update: I deleted the map it created and restarted the whole setup. But now it has mapped a room that doesn’t exist. 😅
@@betty_vulcano Mirrors and glass doors or windows that go to the floor can cause this behavior.
I want to set it at 10:00 to vacuum 3time in a room and at 12:00 to mop how to do this ?
That option is under cleaning setting where you also set the water and vacuum level.
Inglês
Cleaning twice is not possible in the schedule, at least in my Dreame application.
It's also possible that I don't know how.
What robot do you have? Are you using the MI home app or the Dreame Home app?
@@chat-1978 Thanks for the heads up. I guess some things have changed since I last had to do this!
In the dreame app after login it's just white screen
What languages can the L10s Ultra speak?
Too many to list here. If you want to know about a specific one I can check for you.
Hallo👋, kann ich bitte dieses Video auf deutsch bekommen ?🙏🏼
How do i merge 2 maps together??
You can't merge maps.
@jamie.andrews how to do that?
@@bembembap sorry I had a type-o. You can't.
the app is saying is offline, do you know how to make it online again?
Sounds like your robot is disconnected from wifi? If so you may need to reset and try and connect it back.
So is this the dreame app or the mi home? Saw the whole video finding out, lol
Mi home is what Dreame uses, however many other robot vacuums also use the MI home app as well including Roborock.
@@jamie.andrews Ah, but Dreame has released the Dreame app instead, you should update the title to show that this is the Mi app then :)
@@Utking3 Thanks. I did update the title. Although the new app is out I suspect many people of these older robots still use the MI Home App. This video was made almost 1 year ago when it was only the MI app. I think once you get on they are fairly similar in functionality.
HELP!!! Won’t map entire floor plan just livings room & kitchen leaves out bedrooms & bathrooms one level home Tried sooo many times please help
Which model Roborock?
I just got my L10s and experienced the same thing. Would love to see the response.
Cheers.
Yes and you found the number one reason why lidar on a robot is king.
@@jamie.andrews great to know. Thanks!
Looks so similar to the Roborock app.
Same parent company. Very similar.
can you set a schedule to have your entire floor cleaned but within that, have certain rooms cleaned twice, or even have a higher suction?
You could create multiple schedules. One with rooms that get cleaned once and once with rooms cleaned twice. The suction setting is per schedule. I would set mine to balanced and turn on carpet boost.
@@jamie.andrews Right. Would I have to set the schedules far enough apart to let the vacuum dock each time or can it follow these multiple schedules on the fly ?
@@cbre1971 Far enough apart
