Papa and I had a good day of catfishing Wilbur D mills dam at the Arkansas River. We used catalpa worms and bream as bait.

was raised in Arkansas County just love that place you are at my grandpa first took me there when i was 12 years old now I'm 61 yrs. seen it way before the hydropower plant was there gee whizz that was good fishing my mom an brother's still live in DeWitt i like your video's Zach keep catching them maybe I'll be there sometime an meet ya.
It’s been a great fishing spot for a long time! I’ve heard several ppl tell me the same thing that they fished it before the plant was made and it was great fishing. Look forward to seeing you down there sometime! I’m going to start next year early around April fishing it some. I mainly fish it May until they quit running water. If you see me down there, just say “I’m horseman from TH-cam and I’ll remember you.” Glad you enjoy my videos and I appreciate the support horseman!

@@kroy0915 I do not sale any worms at the moment. The river is really low right now and no water has been running through the dam. So idk how good fishing will be for you. I have caught fish with no running water just not very many.

The water level this time of year is extremely low and no water is being let through the dam. With no rain expected, it’ll be a while before the dam starts running consistently again. This time of year, it would take a (bunch of rain) huge rain above river for it to run a little while consistently.
