BEST DAY OF CATFISHING EVER! ARKANSAS RIVER BANK CATFISHING!

- Papa and I caught our limit of catfish bank fishing a lock and dam on the Arkansas River. We were using cut bream and catalpa worms as bait. We have caught our limit many times, but not this many big catfish. It was crazy how quick they were biting that day. Sometimes it wouldn't even hit bottom yet and one would have it. This is a day we will never forget!

I will and glad you enjoyed the video. I have more catfish vids. and some finding catching big bluegill videos to post. I keep all my fish most of the time. My family eats a lot of fish. I have a big family and I’ll give half of it to them.

@@mudcat1622 thanks! it’s always good time fishing with the family. I used to go fishing at Murray and some other dams but it’s been a few years. Caught plenty fish but not like here. If I’m ever down there fishing and you see me, just say hey. Come over and fish.

@@NhatTran-tc3ul thanks! Glad you love the channel! I use young’s catfish seasoning and we fry it. Sometimes I’ll grill it wrap it up in tin foil and use butter, salt, and pepper.
Man I miss that place so much. I'm disabled now and can't walk on the rocks anymore.

I know it! I had those live bream with me. I had plans to fish for flathead but those blues were biting so crazy I couldn’t leave the spot!

And people wounder why catfish are disappearing....

@@davo8802 I’ve talked to old timer’s that have been catching catfish here for over 40 years. The amount of catfish in the Arkansas River, White River, and Mississippi River is crazy. The 20 catfish we caught this trip isn’t hurting nothing. That’s why the limit is 10 catfish a person for a reason.
What rig setup do you use ??

30 lb mono
I usually fish with a three way swivel. Tie 20lb line for the sinker and 30lb my hook.
But In this video I tied everything on the same line which is not good to do. It’s quicker and I wasn’t getting hung up at all in that spot. So I just kept doing it.

I want to know where did you find catapala worms? I live in Arkansas and haven’t seen them in years
Mostly in central Arkansas. We have also planted over 65 catalpa trees and get worms from them. I still go to certain places and get worms from other ppl’s trees. A lot of that farm land in the south has a lot of catalpa trees in those little towns, but I think all the chemicals sprayed over the land has them not able to reproduce or (create a life cycle).
Man now this is my kind of fishing! Im still trying to find a good spot here in Central Arkansas
I used to catch plenty fish at Murray lock and dam but not like here. It’s been a few years since I’ve been there. I fished a lock near Redfield and did good there. I need to go back and make videos at these different places.

We had 20. A 2 man limit. We were throwing back 5lbers to keep the bigger ones. Wish we would have had the whole family there!

@@changeaddresses appreciate it! I usually fish at this place 5 to 10 times late spring into summer. I use to fish Murray dam in Little Rock. Also some dams toward Redfield. I need to go back and video at different dams. It’s been a few years.

3 to 10 pounds are the best eating here in NC I fish the lakes and rivers.
I catch way more than I can eat in the 3 to 10 lb. range. I eat catfish at least twice a week
@@JohnMead-lk2wu yea I know what you mean. Under 5 pounds they’re the best eating to me. We eat fish at least once a week and I’ll give some away to my family that don’t have any.
I keep and eat a lot of cat fish, but any thing over 15 lbs I release. That's the prime breeding stock
