- Norfolk Southern 2648, NS 8386 northbound down the middle of 6th Street in Augusta Georgia.I had been waiting in the sweltering heat for a good long time -- but it finally paid off. (18JUL2014)
• STREET RAILS! PNWR 230...
Wow! I can't believe the traffic! This must be hard on the train crew and the traffic just keeps crossing in front of the train. Nice work, well worth the wait!
I'm sure it is stressful on the crew for the first few times.
The infamous EMD SD70M, only 58 Phase II's on NS. A lot of people could care less, as evident by the townspeople's omnipresent ignoring of the train's arrival down the street. Glorious K5LA. Great video.
People can be like scurrying rats. You captured that perfectly. Excellent video Jason.
Nice video of the SD70M leading! Wonder if this was 156 before it terminated in Augusta.
That's what happens when you're in the downtown area of counties that have street rails they could care less if they get hit or not it seems like. Nice catch and K5LA Jason
I'm sure if you sat there & filmed a dozen trains go through there, one of them would hit a vehicle.
i saw 2648 in Piscataway just yesterday!
Jeez, thanks for liking my old comment man, glad to see you still make videos!
Wondering if the idiots would move out of the way if Big boy steam engine was street running
Foam level 1000.
@@GEES44DC he he
Great video!
Thanks for watching.
Awesome video!! Very nice pair.........especially for an NS Train.
nice catch Jay !
Thanks man, it was worth the couple hour wait in the sweltering Georgia heat. :)
Great video, where in Augusta was this filmed ?
6th Street
Bardzo niesamowite
Dziękuję za obejrzenie. J
That train is going super slow. I don't think any of those drivers were in any real danger.
The last car was the worst; there was no way he knew where the train was & soared right through the intersection in front of it. If the timing had been off a bit, it could have been bad.
***** It's a very different perspective from the cab of the engine.
Nice video. Is the track that rough or is it the zoom lens effect??
Thanks. Yeah the zoom exaggerates it a bit.
How busy does Augusta train traffic get and what days are the busiest?
No idea, sorry - I have only been there once.
Thanks for watching,
Jason
Great Video Man was just there in july didnt see any trains though thanks those cars must get hit all the time
Yeah the locals aren't even phased by it. lol
Sooooo... are cars supposed to drive that close to the trains? I gasped a little every time I saw someone do something stupid like pull a U-turn in front of that guy. Or turn left, as that one car did literally RIGHT in front of the train. Seriously, isn't that scary?
Great catch, though! :)
People are not right in the head. lol
The bicyclist at 1:41 in particular.
