Combo OCS! Chasing NS 965 on the Augusta District 4/11/22

- A mighty impressive chase to say the least! The Masters golf tournament returned this year in Augusta and CSX, BNSF, & NS office car special trains each transversed their way up to Augusta, and parked them for the week. The CSX OCS combined with Q693 and was tacked on the rear of it. Luckily I seen it at Folkston Railwatch anyway last week. Me, Keystone Productions, and csxnstrainman chased from Augusta to Wadley, so about 70ish total miles. So the reason on why these two were combined because the BNSF was already on NS trackage, and both trains were leaving the same day, same way, so why not combine? Knowing me I personally wanted to have the BNSF leading lol but I don’t mind hearing 7034s K5L again. Total passenger cars were 29, 19 NS & 10 BNSF, and 3 locomotives up front. I definitely say one of the more unique catches on this channel for sure!
NS Augusta District
NS 965: Augusta, GA - Altoona, PA
Power:
NS 7034 - EMD SD60E - Narrow Font K5L
NS 7035 - EMD SD60E
BNSF 3696 - GE ET44C4
Thanks For Watching!

As always, thanks LANDON!!
The catch of the year. 👍👍
Oh yeah
What's more funny that the SD60E has a ES44DC horn alike and its taking over a ES44DCs Soul 😂

Lol I was on the phone for a good part of this video😂. Nice one bishop!
Hey we were bored and you kept us company! Thanks Kev
Nice shots bud! Definitely one of the best chases ever.
Thanks! And yessir I agree
Ohhhhhhhh!, nice & spiffy! Only way it would have been better, would have been to have N & W 611 and ATSF 3751 doubleheading!
Lol we wish bro
beautiful catch, new subscriber 👍
Thanks I really appreciate it!
Wish NS kept the rest of the roster clean like that.
Lol exactly
Ahh, PSR at its finest. Combining 2 OCS trains, separate them in Macon, mistakenly send BNSF section up the Piedmont, and have to have a crew run it back from Greenville as a result. All of that hassle could've easily been avoided if they had sent the BNSF via Columbus, GA. Oh well; nice video.
Lol that’s NS for ya. Now I totally understand combining them, even though it sounds strange as heck. The confusion was where would the BNSF go after Macon. Some said DC because they heard it was going up the Greenville. But yeah you’re exactly right why not run P line?
MAN THEY LOOK SHINY!
They were!
The question is why NS got rid of the F's for these? They should've gotten E8's to pull the OCS
Ns is cheap and PSR
Why can’t the OCS just ever come down here to Kansas City, we have a NS District Main
Something needs to happen in ur area that requires for it to come. Inspections etc.
Great catch! Is that train going to transfer to the BNSF in memphis?
No the BNSF transfer in Birmingham AL.
wow! verry cool!
Yep indeed
Interesting
Indeed
Cool
Thanks bro
Excellent video
Thanks
@@BNSFBishop your welcome
That k5 on the sd60e sounded like the k5's on amtraks f59phi's. nice catches!
Probably because of that horn pressure
Fantastic video Bishop!! These locomotives are very new and shiny!! And nice K5L horn?
Thanks for the feedback Derrick! Shiny locomotives are so satisfying to look at. Yes it’s a Nathan K5L horn.
Awesome catch Bishop!
Thanks my dude!
Very awesome catch dude.
Thanks dude!
Perfect stuff dude, amazing
Thanks Chase
@@BNSFBishop Ofc my bro, good stuff
Ns 965 combined with ns 952

Wow! Very cool catch!
Thanks!!
BNSF trying to sweet talk NS into giving it's COG lines to them
Perhaps haha
Awesome Catch!
Thanks Buddy
thats rare awesome catch!
Thank ya
I wonder what the silver colored cars on the rear are ? Those aren’t Norfolk Southern cars are they ? I thought all NS cars were that maroon color
Those are the BNSF business cars.
Thanks @@TrainTrackTrav !! I really appreciate that :)
Hey TrainTrackTrav! I grew up watching your content bud.
@@BNSFBishop Wow, seriously?! Thank you so much, that really means a lot. I'm honored!
Yessir! A throwback is old BNSF 1062, new BNSF 7600
I feel like ns should of painted the 60e's that maroon color it would've looked better but ion know that's what I think how about you?
You have a good point. That would be dope for sure. But honestly the F units are the best thing to man the OCS, the SD60Es ain’t cutting it lol
@@BNSFBishop true but they shouldn't have gotten rid of them so now we only got the SD60Es sadly
Do you know why the BNSF engine was put on there?
Because NS decided to combine them
i hate my mom for not taking me.
Nice catches though.
Oof bro, maybe next time. And thanks
Awesome catch. Nice to see the forging power. Has it gotten to Altoona yet?
Nah not yet
@@BNSFBishop Do you know where it is now?
Not sure at the moment. I think NC
Where the passenger cars going ?
Junk yard scrap?
Nope they’re probably going to the intended yards
@@BNSFBishop thank you
Do you know the pound of the rail on gasr?
No i don’t not bro
@@BNSFBishop ok i will look next time!
