I think we need more people to be courageous enough to say "enough" when it comes to certain trends or types of products and not be afraid to share their feelings with their audiences. This is so important because so many of us out there may be feeling the same way but feeling that pressure to "keep up with the Joneses"; especially when everyone in the beauty space is usually doing the same thing. It sets certain expectations that people feel they have to buy/do even if it doesn't fit them or they risk being judged by others. However, if more influencers followed your example it could level the playing field to create a more accepting beauty community on the whole. Thank you for sharing your thoughts . This will make a bigger difference than you may realize.
Agreed with you on so many of these! Lol. You're one of the real TH-camrs and we need more content like yours! You're absolutely gorgeous and thank you so much for your videos!
I don’t use shaving cream for most of my life but the shave oils from Tree Hut help with the little bumps I can get. I’m with you on most of these though! ❤
I'm definitely not looking for short form content, personally. I AM actually looking for reviews. I like the videos where people will give brief reviews of many products they tried over a month or so, for example. I love Will I Buy Its!!
Many years ago I use to get lash extensions and had them for up to five years. When I decided to stop and had them removed my eyes were literally bald and was so embarrassed to be seen!! I started using a lash serum and in 3 months my lashes became so long and thick that I never went back to getting extensions again! I still use a lash serum every day. I just think it makes a big difference. I also have microbladed brows because doing my brows everyday was such a chore and I could never get them to look the same. So I stopped buying brow products except for clear brow gel to keep them in place. Great video Sam!!! ❤
I love getting my nails done, but I hate the way my nails feel after so many gel or dip, manicures, and weakens my nails if there was only a way to avoid that
Almost every single thing you mentioned, I have never used. Self tanner is stinky and annoying and difficult. I have always sucked at putting on lashes. Body wash works for shaving. I don't like nail polish at all and I look bad in lipstick, I only use colored gloss. I could never be a beauty content creator! I don't have any advice on all this stuff! :D BUT - I DID wear highlighter in the (pretty recent) past, but I recently stopped as well. I now use something instead that I previously didn't like - bronzers and blushes with a nice shimmer. I never liked shimmery face stuff in the past - I would think, why do I need that? I'll just have my highlighter be my highlight! DUH!!! hahahaha
I don’t buy shaving cream either! Haven’t for years! Even the moisturizing ones would dry me out and make my legs itch so bad, I started waxing my lower legs at home myself (I’m also a licensed hairstylist) so I have a good wax and over the years my hair growth has slowed and what does come through is so thin and softer so it’s less that I have to wax now, if I do have to shave anything I use Paul Mitchell hair and body tea tree moisturizer and it’s perfect!
This is such a great video for all girls and women out there. Even I’m watching a beauty vlog I love the color etc I’m gonna buy it. Problem I end up with is I have a crap load of makeup and no one to share it with. But I do love everything I buy. I’ve never used shaving cream, I grew up using soap.
I will say, one of the biggest perks to forehead Botox is it keeps the area acne free! And as far as maintenance goes, I get it once every 6-8 months so it really isn’t as much of a hassle or financial burden as some let on.
I have to use shaving cream or an oil shaving dry or using soap would give me razor burn. I don’t use lip scrub because they have fragrance and would just give me a rash. I also would never get lash extensions or extensions the idea of fake stuff being on me gross me out. Eww. Plus I have an eye disease so I don’t need to make my vision worse and I’m also sensitive to brands of mascara. I guess I’m just come from a different generation and I’m not that insecure. I also only buy travel sizes too because they just go bad before you use them, my boys started doing the same because they had to throw away so many bottles away. The beauty industry doesn’t really faze me. Honestly I see through a lot of content creators and even comments. It’s all about sales and money. Please ladies just be true to yourself you’re beautiful no matter what or what people say.
My dad was a "Black Scot"! meaning he had black hair & tanned so well on the Ranch people thought he had NA blood. I got his skin & I can when tanning was a fad get very DARK & like y'all I don't burn very much at all. I love the TirTir Milk toner & Milk Ampoule & the COSRX Snail Mucin & 6X peptide serum! 🤠
Girl, you’re beautiful! I don’t wear eyelashes either. Never liked them and I don’t usually have sensitive skin but, my eyes easily get irritated to eyelashes, glitter and most mascaras.
I religiously used to buy Bobbi Brown pot eyeliner for many years. When they started discontinuing my favorite colors, I went to the UD eye pencil and haven’t looked back. Looking back, for me, pot eyeliner looked really harsh on my eye. I absolutely don’t miss the pot liner now. And I also brush my lips. Have been doing it for years! My dentist recommended it. 😊
Sam I don’t use shaving cream either. If it’s been a while since I have shaved. Cause yes I’m lazy especially in winter… I might use shampoo or conditioner to shave 🤷🏼♀️
I was a model for a class on “powder brows” and LOVE the result so so much- it is normally pretty expensive for that first session but then I touch up maybe every 1-2 years and it’s affordable. I don’t use or buy any brow products and it helps me look and feel put together. I would do back and pay for the big first session knowing what I know now. (But not complaining for getting that for free!!!) Do research and look at lots of photos for the right artist but I LOVE it. One of my brows grows up and is missing hairs on the end- people commented on it my whole life and was so hard to fill in and make look natural. DO IT! (If you want.) ❤❤❤❤
I don't buy shaving cream anymore, but I do still get the tree hut shave oil because ever since I started using them it has helped with the little shave bumps, I typically get. I get what you're saying about the toothbrush but my only thought about it is if you're using the same toothbrush that you brush your teeth with to brush your lips your toothbrush is getting dead skin in it and that just grosses me out. I could see using 2 different ones though.
I really enjoyed this video Sam. I'm not one to follow trends mostly because I cannot keep up with it and as we've seen, everything comes back again eventually. I use shave oil mainly because I think I would cut myself if I didn't use anything. But if you don't need it I think that's great, one less thing to buy. 😃 Have a great weekend Sam!!

Never have I ever used shaving cream or cream eyeliner. Both sound like far too work, when there are other easier options. Like you can't be bothered to use hairspray. I have a bottle of it, do I know how old it is... Nope! I am interested in knowing more of your thoughts on your hair products that you have used over the last few years.
I use bar soap. Always have. As a nurse I feel if you cut yourself , it is always cleaned by the soap...and I am going to be 52. Marketing scheme. Shit ya don't need.
As a middle school teacher, I appreciate how deep you got about trends. I will be showing my parts of this video to my students this morning!❤
As the mom of a 13 year old girl, I thought about how good this would be to show jr high and high school girls. I am going to show this to her.
Shaving cream... NOT NECESSARY! Whatever works for you...keep doing it. There's too many products for things we don't really need! Great topic! 💜

Always looking for a good Lash Serum! Please share yours!!
thats what I hear so much ah!!
@ I use Lash doctor! I’m from Australia and unsure if it’s only an Australian brand. ☺️
@@CowGirlKat8691 I actually just looked it up and it’s an Australian made serum!!
I’ve always used whatever hair conditioner is in my shower for shaving. 🤷🏻♀️
yes!
I love getting my nails done, but I hate the way my nails feel after so many gel or dip, manicures, and weakens my nails if there was only a way to avoid that
Something I never use and I feel so much pressure to use by beauty influencers is concealer lol I just don’t feel the need for it

You are beautiful, most importantly inside, and look like a star every time you do your makeup. Thanks for being so real.
P.S. definitely been noticing how good your hair is looking! Thought about commenting last video but was multitasking and forgot. 😂❤
I don’t use shaving cream either lol

Your brows look great ❤

You’re not alone. I do not use shaving cream either lol. Body wash does the job. Thanks for the lip brushing hack.✝️❤️🙏🏻🐾🐾🐾🐾
I feel ya on so many things! I don't use shaving cream either & I love getting my nails done! Its my 1 thing 1x ea month!
I don’t use shaving cream. I mean, I probably need to throw mine out. 😂😂

Shaving cream is completely unnecessary to me too… conditioner or most soaps work just as well!

I have never bought shaving cream! I just use my soap or body wash
agree!
I don’t use shaving cream either. I think I’ve bought one foam one in the past and one oil version from tree hut. I use my shower gel and prefer it.
I don't use shaving cream either, never been an issue lol
I don't use shaving cream either, I use conditioner. It leaves my skin smooth.
Keeping it real...I like that...oh and also your hair!❤
Girl, I started (and stil) watch youre channel because you don’t use false lashes.
oh! thank you ❤️
I shave my legs with hair conditioner...works perfect!
I've never used shaving cream and I just don't understand why I should🤷🏻♀

Same- I don’t notice the difference using soap and water vs shaving cream

I don’t buy a separate shaving cream, it’s included in my razor. It’s far more convenient and faster for me.
nice!
Not weird at all. I never buy shaving cream. I use my regular soap and it works perfectly.
I use bar soap. Always have. As a nurse I feel if you cut yourself , it is always cleaned by the soap...and I am going to be 52. Marketing scheme. Shit ya don't need.
Thank you for an interesting and useful video 😊
thanks for watching!
Would love to see a “trial” shaping brow video tbh, full experience vlog?
I dont use ot buy shaving cream either. Neither does my husband
I don't use shaving cream either, I use the shower gel suds when I'm showering, it is a waste of a product and money.
I feel that@
Do you stretch your jaw?
I do! it looks kinda crazy haha but it does help!
I don't use shaving cream either I use conditioner 😂❤
I hear that too!
I just let the conditioner run out of my hair on my legs to shave
I don’t use shaving cream either lol
