- Decluttering and letting do doesn’t have to be painful or difficult! In this video, I share my quick and easy step-by-step process of how to decide which items to keep and which items to let go. It’s a process that always leaves me feeling light and free and I hope youl’ll try it! 🪶
I’ll walk you through a simple 5 step process along with a series of questions to help you determine where you can reduce excess in your own personal space.
I also share tips on where to sell or donate certain items so that others have a chance to enjoy what you’re no longer finding use for yourself.
I hope the video is helpful in some way.
As always, thanks so much for watching!~
P.S. Warning‼️ Lots of handbags being purged in this video❗️😂

Would like to hear more about your “no buy” year. My sister recommended that concept to me.
Ok please stay tuned! 😊
Great tip to donate old linens to animal shelter! I'm a huge animal lover, and I also declutter and donate every season, so I love this donation idea.
So glad to hear! Animals need our donations too. 🐶 😊
Really enjoyed seeing your thought process and how you mindfully declutter. Also admire how you find ways to rehome the items that aren’t suiting you. Thanks for sharing!
So glad you enjoyed it! I really enjoy decluttering and sharing so I’m happy that energy came through. 😊
Excellent video. Love your approach. Super helpful and supportive. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Loved this video!
I usually declutter every once in a while, but never thought to pay attention to the ‘Whys’.
Thankfully, I do it to destress and clear my mind.
But it’s always important, and it’s always nice to be aware of what motivates us to act. Tells us so much about ourselves, and gives us a chance to correct our ways if needed.
Thank you!
Establishing our WHY is the root to it all. 😉
It feels very light when I give away things I don’t use. I love looking at an empty space where stuff used to be. I’m also glad that someone can use the items.
💯
Love you and all your videos! 😍 If your church friend doesn’t want the taupe mini Atelier Auguste bag Id be more than happy to take it off your hands!!! 😅😊
Enjoyed this video so much!! Inspired to declutter now 🤩 I love how you give yourself a timeline to when the items need to go. Sometimes I would make a donation pile and leave it there for months.. Please continue doing these types of video (annual/ biannual). Have a great day! 😊
Once the items exit your home, you’ve completed the assignment! 😂 So glad you enjoyed the video!!
The nude Auguste bag is absolutely stunning!!!❤❤❤
Yes very pretty.
Thanks for this video! I’d be interested in a video on the no-buy year you had as I have been transitioning into minimalism for the past couple of years. Love your videos!
You got it! I’ll add it to my list for future videos!
Currently going through a bag declutter. I have way to many and only really rotate through the same 10 bags. Thanks for sharing!
Enjoy the process!
The RSVP bucket bag is so nice and elegant! 😱 If it doesn’t find a good home, could you please do a YT giveaway for it soon?
Anyway, I really enjoyed your video as always! Please don’t stop posting them ❤
Loved this video! Your five steps make decluttering feel so doable. The focus on finding a personal “why” really clicked with me-makes it so much more meaningful! 😊 Also, your donation tips are super helpful; knowing items can go to someone who’ll use them is the best feeling. Can’t wait to try this out myself! Thanks for the inspiration!
Such a great video! Love the donation ideas for linen and work clothes . Will mark that for my next declutter session.
I know it wouldn’t be your typical type of video but I would love to see your plant collection!
Good Morning! Definitely make a no buy year -video! 🌼
Would love to hear about your no buy year for clothes. I am inspired to try that for 2025! That is one area where I struggle with discipline.
Will do!
moving around tend to gather more stuff too, I have notice that, need to declutter soon, thanks for sharing this video.
That RSVP bucket bag is SO beautiful ❤
It is a nice looking bag, I agree.
I think this is a great exercise to go through periodically and it does seem like it worked out this time! especially since you had a lot of items which can feel overwhelming. RE: seasonal items...it feels like you don't have a clear "why" to get rid of them and are pushing yourself a little. If minimalism is somethjng you are aiming for then definitely that makes sense. But just as we all have christmas decor or other seasonal items like winter coats in our closet that we dont use except for special occasions. Its not necessarily right to look at them in the same way when decluttering. Its ok to have special items and be frivolous. Especially since you are already a person who is very careful about what you keep.
Thank you for that perspective on the seasonal items!! I know sometimes I can go overboard in my decluttering 😅 so I’ll have to be mindful.
Loved this video! I struggle in the area of declutterring/letting things go (especially items that were gifted and have some sentimental value to me). Your tips were very helpful! Thank you for sharing!
Gifted items and sentimental items are tricky but if they are adding to your physical and mental clutter and not bringing joy, it might feel wonderful to let them go. All the memories will still remain even after the item is gone. ❤
Your black Chenel WOC is my second fav. in your collection, after your black Speedy BB.
Oh thank you!
Thank you I loved this video!😀
Great video. I try to declutter at least twice a year.
Hi Hannah! This video came just in time 😂 I am in the middle of decluttering since it’s almost the end of the year. I mainly declutter due to limited space in my apartment. It’s quite difficult to sell anything second hand where I live unless you sell it on the marketplace by yourself which in itself takes up quite a lot of time from putting up the listing to packaging 😅 so I usually donate. I would say definitely keep the Chanel bags for your daughter because she might want them when she gets a little older 😊
You are such a sweet person. 💕
I love that blush Auguste Atelier bag. I have a similar Demellier bag that I got to scratch the Celine Box Bag itch.
Great video, I really like your ring on the right hand (middle finger) do you mind letting me know where it’s from? Thank you😊
Would love to hear about your no buy year😊
Love this declutter video!!
Fantastic topic, great points to consider, you are so mindful & inspirational ❤🙏tfs
I understand that you want to keep your privacy- I respect that. If you happen to sell those bags…where can I find them? I have been onto these for ages!
Are you planning to sell your extra LV Pochette accessories anytime in the future? I also love your ateliers auguste mini bag. I was planning to buy the white color, still holding on it 🥰
Hi! I still have the newer LV PA and am debating keeping it for my daughter or letting it go since technically she can take my original PA if she wants it in the future. Feel free to email me to discuss. As for the ateliers auguste mini Monceau, I’m still enjoying the chalk/white one! Recently, I gifted the gold edition taupe one to my friend since I didn’t think I needed two. But it’s a great bag.
That is inspirational. Thank you so much
Hi Hannah, love this topic! I also like to look in my closet and see some empty space. Currently, my clothing closet is too jam-packed and it is driving me insane (though it is hyper organized). It's hard to move hangers in and out. I know that I have many clothing items that are no longer my style or I don't wear for a specific reason. However, when I go to remove items, I feel pain seeing the $$$$ that I paid for each item. This is especially true as my income is now lower than it used to be. I tell myself, doesn't matter, it's a sunk cost, if I'm not wearing. Do you ever feel this way, and if yes, how do you get past those feelings? BTW, I have also been taking the time to unsubscribe from emails - it definitely is a project but I feel will be worthwhile in the end! Thank you! ❤
Adding - the clothing items are mid-range contemporary designer, so while I've given piles to The Real Real in the past, I end up getting peanuts back for any sale. I almost refuse to do it anymore since they will list an item that has not been worn (and retailed for $500) for like $75... Ouch! I'd rather give them away to someone who I know would use, but also hard to find someone in the right size who also likes the styles.
Absolutely, seeing that empty space in the closet can be such a relief visually and mentally! Every single time we pull out a hanger or put back a hanger, any friction or difficulty is going cause micro stresses in our daily lives. So while I completely understand the feeling that you’re wasting money by decluttering the clothes you don’t need/want, I’d encourage you to think about what you’d be gaining every time you open that closet and breathe a sigh of relief! 😊 Start small - maybe with shirts first or coats or dresses and then move on to the next category. Don’t force yourself to let go of items just for the sake of completing this exercise bc then you’ll regret it right? So, carefully go through each item to decide. Sometimes I’ll remove EVERYTHING from my closet and go through each item one by one. That’s an all day (sometime multi day exercise) but it really kickstarts the process. Good luck! You got this!!
I feel the pain of the money I wasted everytime I realize I haven’t worn it or it isn’t my style anymore. Force yourself to wear it even if it’s one day, ( make an outfit) you will know pretty fast if it’s a keep or a let go. I have clothes that I haven’t worn in months years but I know that when the occasion comes up I will reach for them. Hope it helps
I need this! Thank you!
I would be very interested in a no buy year video, especially considering clothes! Thank you
Noted!
Hi,
I think you should keep your chanel bags and ysl wallet for your daughter later. Great video and tyfs! :)
And since quality has gone down, hold on to the older models.
Completely agree!!
Good point 🤔
Great video ,thank you.
I'm finally able to catch up with your videos. I always have a hard time to declutter because I have a hard time giving up items . Please let me know if you ever want to sell your bucket bag
Can you please link the small brown bag? Or the brand/shop? It’s gorgeous 😊
Do you mean the last one I showed? It’s the collaboration I did with DUYP. It actually sold out the day it launched but it will be restocked soon. Here’s the original video link -

Are you sure you don’t have to open the pockets on the Zara boucle jacket? Pockets like that are usually basted closed and you have to open them after buying.
Unfortunately they’re not that kind. I checked a while ago and have since given the coat to my friend bc she loved it. 😊
Hang on to the woc
Would you consider doing a review like this, but ranking the contemporary brands based on quality. I know it will depend on the bag, but it would be helpful to understand the quality level of a polene vs strathberrry vs APC vs RSVP vs DUYP vs Quince. They all have different price points.
Oh yes! I did a very thorough comparison a while back of all the mid range leather brands including APC, Ateliers Auguste, Cuyana and many others. I talked about the quality, feel, durability etc and shared my opinions on each brand. If you look through my videos, you should see it.
@@hellocatwalkcity Hi! Yes, I watched that video, it was ~6 months ago. I loved it, but I was hoping for a bit more of a ranking or a comparison to designer brands. For example folks rave about the Quince Italian Box Leather bag, but is it purely due to $150 price tag or does it actually stand up against Fleuron or Ateliers Auguste, and how do those brands stack up against Celine, LV, Chanel, Hermes... Also, I was very interested to learn more about wear and tear. I find Tanner Leatherstein does great reviews on new bags, but he ranks LV empriente pieces fairly well vs other designers, yet I have tons of issues with empriente LV pieces after only a few years.
@@hellocatwalkcity Also, I just got the Madison bag in black and I love it😍. The leather smell is very nice, and the quality is amazing, especially for the price. I love the soft epsom, attention to detail and the hardware is fairly substantial. It certainly fits more than expected, and my luxury focused friends were impressed (but wanted a larger size for everyday). I am interested to know more about the glazing, I've had lots of trouble with LV glazing getting tacky and rubbing off on my clothes. Lastly, I would like to second a burgundy color and a larger size (possibly the size of the Chanel Medium Classic Flap). Very excited for the continuation of the line!
My Why is so that I can have more space for new things. I have gifted my bags and clothes or sold them cheap because I want a new wardrobe. Still spending money in other words 😅
@FreddBrillid not me. I love authentic
Hello! Don't you mind if I buy an Ateliers August beige bag for 100$? I was dreaming of it for so long and this moment it is so pricy for me.
Aww so sorry! My friend came over the other day and she took some clothes and also the Ateliers Auguste bag. She loved it so I decided to gift it to her. Wish I had another one for you!
@@hellocatwalkcity Aw, it's okay! Thanks for answering! XOXO
I want to declutter abd reduce my bags to 5. 😭
guilty, I currently have a bag for donation lingering in my upstairs hallway
Bye bye!! Off it goes! 😂 👋
In case you decide to let go of your chanel filigree woc, I would be happy to give her a new home ♥
Thank you. Still undecided on that one! 😅
