Your video is the first video that has given me the concept for the name Monster as in put together from the parts of lots of different cycles, like a Frankenstein

I have an 2007 s4rs with arrows and it's a special riding experience. From start up to riding, it's just such a blast. Great video! Cheers!

Bike is awesome! But the presentation was phenomenal! Damn man! If you're not an instructor of some sort, public speaker, or something like that, you missed your calling!

I own this bike too, also from 2004. It has nearly the same arrow exhaust system but titanium instead of carbon and an aftermarket Oehlins suspension. I love to ride it. The sound is great. These old Monsters are becoming rare. Thanks for this great review. All the best.

You have a wonderful S4r, previously owned a Monster 696+ and now fancy a S4r, good video mate.

I used to have this exact same year make, model and color. I just sold it a few months ago. It is by far one of the most powerful naked bikes you can own. Sounds like thunder in the dry clutch is amazing and loud too. Everyone stopped to look when I drove by. I had the clip-ons which is why I sold it. It was too uncomfortable to ride and I did not want to change the look of the bike so I just sold it.

Great video full of facts. I believe the S4R was the best 'analogue" Monsters ever made! Thak you.

@MotoMeccaGarage, I would disagree with the point you made about riding at high speeds. All Monsters prior to 2008 came stock with a quarter faring (which IMO is functional and beautifully integrated). I notice you don't have one on your bike. When installed, it's a game changer when doing triple digits speeds. It's actually one of the negatives of the later model Monsters (too tiny) and Streetfighters... and actually one of the main considerations why I am not serious about purchasing those types and makes of naked bikes (KTM, BMW, Kawasaki, etc.).

I have this exact same motorcycle, sadly in not the best condition, but I'm wondering where you got some stuff, specifically the carbon fiber beer tray

Also, idk if mines at full power, because it doesn't feel that fast, believe it or not, it's my first bike, im 16, got it for 3500, new clutch and other small things adds up to $2000 ish. I can full throttle in from 3k rpm all the way up to 8k rpm in second gear and feels safe. Is that normal for this bike. It also has an aftermarket exhaust. It just feels... Slow sometimes.

Bro I have never cracked throttle fully open, it would put you on your ass. Bike is fast. Something is wrong
