On "My Car Story" we're in Rosemont IL at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals on 11-24-13.
We're looking at a 1971 Plymouth GTX 440 + 6.
The car's Owner is Tim Wellborn who is the Owner of the Wellborn Musclecar Museum in Alabama.
Interesting features / options on this car are:
1) Red / Orange tail pipes to look like flames.
2) Correct pin stripping.
3) a cassette dictation machine!
This car took 1 1/2 years to restore according to Mr. Andrew White with APEX Autosports. APEX Autosports is located at 2076 1st Ave Grafton, WI 53024, Phone # 1-262-375-2402 www.APEXAutoSports.com and this car show is this cars debut to the public.

I love these cars! My first car was a 71 roadrunner in 1978. Bahama yellow, strobe graphics over the roof, 340 automatic on the column. Very fun car!

Really awesome car.The last year of real high compression big block Mopar muscle cars. Also the last year of the 383, 440/6, and 426 Hemi engines. Sadly the end of the greatest era in automotive history was 1971

nice car i had the same one ,, in 1974 ,,, i raced a 69 super b and beat the car in a race,,, my car spun around once and went back wards at 90 mph i hit a culvert backwards 1100 pm on a sunday,,, the car flipped 3 times end over end ,, i survived ,, i was lucky i didnt have a seatbelt on,, i kicked out the back window to get out ,, car was on its roof,,,car is tuff ,, i sold it the next day it was towed to a yard ,, sold it $400 ,,the guy cut the roof off the car went back on the road,, chysler did a good job on the hard body it is stay safe mike

@@loucostabile THANKS LOVE THOSE CARS MY FRIEND HAD A 70 YELLOW CUDA WITH A HEMI IN 1973 ,, HE HAD 22 K MILES ON IT IT HAD THE KODAK ROOF BLACK ON IT ,, HE OFFERED IT TO ME THEN FOR \$1800 WISH I DID BUT DIDNT OH WELL THE RIDES WE HAD IN IT WAS GOOD ENOUGH LOL ,,, THEN ANOTHER FRIEND HAD A 1966 BELVEDER WITH A HEMI FOR A WINTER CAR FOR $250 DOLLARS ,,IMAGINE THAT ,, LOL DOUBLE LOL
