Analysing and Predicting Arsenal's Entire Transfer Window! Dream Signings, Tactics, and 24/25

- The transfer window is hard to navigate...so that is why I've created this video in order to show Arsenal fans exactly what the gunners need this summer in order to win the Premier League title in the 2024/25 season.
For me, I am more concerned about addressing particular squad needs than signing any one perfect individual, and hopefully this brings you, the viewer, a lot more clarity.
In a summer about to be swallowed by the 2024 European Championships, the transfer window is only made more difficult for Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar as they set out to perfect this Arsenal squad.
For me, the main areas I want to see investment in are as follows:
1. Our midfield progression: buying a Frenkie de Jong, Eduardo Camavinga, Joao Neves, Joshua Kimmich type in order to play next to Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard and replace the departing Thomas Partey, already departed Granit Xhaka and Mohammed Elneny, and ageing Jorginho.
2. Fix our LHS dynamics around Jurrien Timber, Gabriel Martinelli, and Kai Havertz: this coincides with a LCM signing for progressive needs, as well as someone like Alphonso Davies from Bayern Munich to provide an overlap.
3. Moments in attack: this could either be a more projecty buy like Benjamin Sesko, Karim Adeyemi, Nico Williams, or Pedro Neto, or we could instead choose to splash our marquee midfielder money on an attacker like Victor Osimhen, Marcus Rashford, Raphael Leao, or Eberechi Eze. In turn, this would mean the superstar midfielder becomes someone like Monaco's Youssouf Fofana, or Feyenoord's Mats Wieffer.
4. William Saliba and Declan Rice cover: I believe Amadou Onana from Everton can do this perfectly.
This video draws in tactical analysis, in-depth football or soccer tactics alongside players such as Bukayo Saka, Benjamin White, David Raya, Aaron Ramsdale, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Ethan Nwaneri.
This channel covers the entire Premier League, including Pep Guardiola, Manchester City, Manchester United, Eric ten Hag, Chelsea, Mauricio Pochettino, Enzo Maresca, Brighton and Hove Albion, Roberto De Zerbi, Liverpool, Arne Slot, Jurgen Klopp, Tottenham Hotspur, Ange Postecoglou, Aston Villa, and Unai Emery, and so much more! - กีฬา
Bro casually dropped the most in-depth transfer window video I’ve ever seen and is chill with it 😂 👏
😂😂😂 I try, I try. Xx
Collab with TDK
I would love to mate!
maybe some of you could nod Alex in the direction of this channel...
@@harveygration stay true to yourself.
Your analysis is more logical and less sensationalized.
Even better he should collab with the Cannon Podcast.
@@mattm7911 We gonna hear more talk of ''transitional invetibility''😂
Another great video Harvey
Watched a lot of transfer window videos this past week and this is definitely the best I've watched so far
You talk about what the team needs and market availability needs more than your personal choices 👍
Thanks so much. That’s exactly what I tried to do! I feel it helps us all out a lot more if people know what we need first. Then names can be placed in conjunction. Like I said I’m relatively flexible this window
great video mate. knowledgeable and very well presented. also just a very likeable guy. keep up the good work mate. COYG
Very kind of you Tom, glad you enjoyed. I’m just waiting for us to actually sign someone so we all actually know what’s going on!
Any video ideas fire away down below! Literally anything and everything you can think of! Thanks so much guys. I love you a lot, a lot, and a lot ("more than you believe": Josep Guardiola) xx
Maybe you could analyze benjamin sesko since he is being linked with us a lot and these player analysis type of videos could propel the channel too
Very well put together video. Subbed and looking forward to more quality content
I think we must get Diomandé at all cost, fits our system like a glove, versatile and a generational talent.
Absolutley agree. Unicorn. Just wondering whether the deal is forced to wait for another year.
Waoh Prof... You've done it again. Great vid
James, as always, you’re lovely. ❤️
Fantastic analysis Harvey. Your takes always bring me back to this channel.
Too kind of you. Can’t thank you enough.
1, our ideal bench for the next season (squad depth)
2, the trophies we should win next season (our seasons realistic objectives vs what our current team is capable of e.g)
3, our weakest squad players (players that fit this Arteta’s system)
4, squad numbers (next signing numbers allocation & rearranging the current ones)
5, Player value, breaking down our most valuable player to our least valuable one based on quality, age and price)
Idk what did here, hopefully you can find some ideas for your next videos lol good luck bro ✅
Wow thanks so much teddy! Screenshotting this and getting to the drawing board!
Great vid Harvey,completely agree.
For me midfield is the priority, links are starting to resurface again about Douglas luiz, for around 60million.Thats way better value for money then Bruno G,you could also argue luiz is the better progressive passer.
We could acquire both onana & luiz for 100-110 million, this would complete our midfield.Balance of physicality and also progressiveness.I also really really like Adam Wharton reminds me of a more mobile xhaka!
The attacking situation is weird because I feel like we’ll sign someone completely unmentioned in the media, but that’s just a feeling.
I’m more concerned with what we do in the midfield ;)
do u think arsenal get 100 points next season?
Wharton-Xhaka is actually a brilliant comparison (as you said a more mobile one).
Upside on Granit is his elastic, strong frame, able to carry over bigger spaces as a result. Just needs to continue to mature.
For me, we only want the best or the best now, or those win the potential to be the best of the best (Neves), or those unicorn profiles (Onana).
If all else fails, then Luiz is there as the LCM archetype.
And thanks again for the lovely comment :)

Thanks Olly, much appreciated. More on the way!
Damn that's a really good video!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed ❤️
Great video 👍
❤️ thank you
Harvey comes with the knowledge and the truth. Always.
In some of our losses in the season, we seemed to have a problem with ball progression with Rice in the 6, as detailed by you in an earlier presentation
Thanks so much for the lovely comment. Our progressions issues weren’t because of Rice, though. It was the lack of 2nd phase presence in midfield and a lack of cohesion as an attacking network.
Great vid !!
🙏❤️
Wonderful video❤
Thanks so much ❤️
you have a really good channel
Captain Jack-thank you sir🫡
Wow, great video. This summer is going to be grueling but also exciting because until we sign at least one player, we won’t know which direction the club is taking!
Facts. Can’t wait till that first person puts pen to paper. Then I’m gonna have some serious vids for you all! Got so many notes on the different directions we could go in. Thank you so much Sam!
Great vid mate! Perfect window for me is Šeško, FDJ, Fofana and Diomandé.
Thank you! Very nice indeed. If u wanted Could upgrade Sesko to a marquee forward and replace Dio and Fofana with just Onana to ensure there is Rice cover too if you were feeling extra spicy
Food for thought
🫡Let’s prioritise balance. Specific individuals will follow suit.
Brilliant. Pls collab with TDK or The Cannon Podcast. It'll bring out the best in u. I love ir analysis. Indept, educative and casual. Big up bro.
That would be an honour. Need them to know who I am first though! And thanks so much for the truly lovely comment. Means a lot.
I'd really love to hear your thoughts on Nwaneri and his possible roles in the team.
Good work as always man!💯👍
Great idea! Thanks man ❤️
HARVEY GRATION. Remember the name.
You’ve quickly become one of my favorite channels on this platform.
Of the three strategies you’ve presented, which would be your preference?
As I’ve said…I’m quite flexible. But the two I’m settling on are:
1. Marquee FWD (let’s say Osi), Onana, Davies, Fofana
2. Marquee MF, Onana, Davies, and then a Neto-type
Onana is rumoured to be below 45m now. Which is a game changer.
Thanks for the lovely comment, really kind of you.
You're more Fabio I think mate, keep up the fantastic work!!!
I would bite my own arm off to get us Eze, I think this boy is a top top class player and would fit perfectly within our current squad and structure.
Would be the best marketing for the channel if Fabio exploded next season ahahaha. Eze is an uncut superstar, waiting to be drawn out.
As a turkish arsenal fan who has also been following ferdi kadioglu from fenerbahce a lot in the recent years, he fits perfectly to the overlapping left back role, he can also cut inside and play as an inverted wing back too as he started his career as a 10 similar to zinchenko and he is a much much better defender than he is
I’ve always seen Kadi as closer to a cancelo than a Davies. What do you think? Because you will have seen him much more than me
@@harveygration you are correct but in turkey since inverted wing backs are not really a thing 😂he was always used as an overlapper or an underlapper to dusan tadic so he is very used to doing that. You won't get Alphonso level defensive transition defending of course but you will get someone who is more technical than him think of him like somewhere between cancelo and davies but closer to cancelo however he is someone who is very used to doing what alphonso is doing at Bayern
As per usual mate. Your analysis is top tier!! Keep them coming
I was wondering do you think we should get a '''backup'' RW for saka or could we look at the academy instead?
I’m not one of those who is massive on a Saka backup. If you want one, go for Zhegrova from Lille. He’s my favourite. But for me, look internally. Give Fabio and overlap out there. Or Nwaneri. Or play Martinelli/Jesus there where Odegaard is naturally passing to their strong feet.
Thanks so much as well, really appreciate you.
Really like your videos, Keep it up mate!
I’ve seen 2 games of Joao Neves and I absolutely love him.
He would be my priority and I’d break the bank.
He’s got incredible passing and reading of the game.
His stature isn’t a concern as he utilizes his low centre of gravity to win duels and his character seems top.
In my opinion he’s the perfect profile to complement Rice and Odegaard.
Thanks mate! I really like him too. As you said, so close to the ground, making him snappy in the tackle. Turns like Santi on a dime but also has the ability to carry over larger spaces too.
As a passer he is top, top.
I’ve always said I’m ok with us having a soft centre (LCM + Ode potentially) as long as we have a strong shell. But yeah, Neves would be unreal and hopefully wouldn’t have too much pressure/responsibility with a fully fit squad. Just let the boy play.
I can’t quite believe him when I watch him. 19 but he looks like he’s been playing at La Masia for a decade and been part of a prime Pep team for another ten years! He’s ready now. Gundo regen.
Yess bro fully agree!
I’m not saying I know everything but this kid seems to me like he’s got something special 🌟
smashed it 👏 new sub, thoughts on wharton ?
Many thanks mate. Love Wharton. Had the pleasure of watching him regularly in the Championship. Has the passing qualities of a Xhaka but a much better ability to play as an 8 due to his elastic, strong frame, allowing him to carry over longer distances. Lovely understanding of tempo, can use either foot to shuttle, and in combatant and mobile in the duel and across the ground. Proper playa.
palace have everyone we need , eze guehi and wharton 😮
Great video
But did you actually mention Sesko and Joao Neves, they are in the thumbnail?
Thank you!
As I said, the players don’t really concern me as much-as long as we do the things set out in the intro.
They are on the thumbnail for clicks to be honest. Thumbnail has to have something on!!
@@harveygration I guess I would say after listening is that Oshimen and Eze are more suitable to the thumbnail. I am probably more excited by Sesko and Xavi Simons or Neves. But fantastic content. Thank you
My dream window is. Sesko, Xavi Simons, Kimmich
This is the most exciting window in Arsenal's history.
It will reveal Arteta's ultimate ( maybe penultimate) vision for his Arsenal side.
Even after how well we have done, I don't think this is Mikel's ideal team.
Completely right
Hi Harvey, im not an arsenal fan lol but I've followed arteta closely since 2020 and could tell he would be a top coach.
What do you think his penultimate team would look like if you were to combine teams from the past? E.g. Man City 18 mixed with Chelsea 05 and Madrid 2012 = Arteta's penultimate version
i'm curious for that LHS would you take a more all-around player or would you like more of a specialist/luxury type, a player with a distinct style of play...i get the sense Mikel prefers a more all-around player that he could mold than a luxury or set 8, a hybrid he could chop/change depending on the opposition. I just really want to get that LHS consistent, feels like its been a thorn for 2/3 seasons now
Adam wharton, khephren thuram,camavinga, valverde
Leao, Kimmich, Amadou Onana for me.
Kimmich can fill in as the overlapping FB(albeit in RB) which is great news for Saka to finally leave the touchline get closer to goal , TAA-Salah esque dynamic- when Partey/Jorg start in #6 and Rice in #8.
He can also be the RCM, that operates in pivot with Rice(who already has a left bias) OOP.
Odegaard drift to LCM where his final/creative passes are actually more effective.
Finally, he brings a level of experience in title races and in possession play against the biggest teams in Europe(Madrid,Bayern).
Sounds good to me
harvey we really a top LCM passer more than anything, it fixes our left hand side and also gives us and provide that fluidity in attack , we also need to see saka in central areas?
If I had to compile a list of what we need to do next season getting both wingers closer to goal would be up at the top.
Not sure Onana could cover Saliba for anything more than an in game emergency
I've had a right stalk on over Onana since the first time i seen him play against us! He looks a beast of a player and then theres Eze... Does he not remind you of Saka the way he can carry the ball and ride challenges? He's already played a few different positions, i think he would be a very good signing.
But then thats coming from someone who wanted us to sign Jed Spence after he bagged Martinelli and got Taveres subbed off all on his own with in 30 minutes against us... Look how he's turned out so far! So i guess it all comes down to more than just talent, do Onana and Eze have what it takes to reach another level?
Either way, I like most players we have been linked with but those 2 would be a definite from me.
I think for me I either want us to buy the best players (Osimhen’s), the players who will be the best (Neves, Diomande etc), or unique profiles. Onana and Eze are both unique and destined for greatness with the right environments.
The reason Eze/Saka are similar for many peoples eyes is because they understand tempo to a different level. The game stops and is played at their speed-fast to slow. Time stops when they get on the ball. Proper rhythm, feeling players.
harvey between saka and foden who do u think is the better player, if u think saka why do u think so even though foden has more G/A?
Bruno or luiz seem an easy fit for midfield
How about that kadiagoclu Harvey from Turkish league he can tuck in midfield while also be very good overlapper he is very versatile has basically played everywhere do you think he would be good lb for us
I have him as more of a Cancelo type than a natural width holder. What about you? Don’t think it would be optimal use of our resources with Timber/Zinny although he is more dynamic than Zinny.
@@harveygration ye I agree so you would say Aint Nouri is similar to him right
Said this a lot but I really don't like de Jong, The biggest problem with the TP is availability imo and De Jong has awful injury issues. Love the vid❤
I think the biggest issues around De Jong are how we balance another free role midfielder in the team. But that all comes down to Mikel’s own vision for the MF.
And thank you, very kind. ❤️
Finally some sense between all the nonsense
🙏
Since I'm leaning towards your marquee midfielder window I'm intrigued to see how Vieira gets on next season. Imo he's that game breaker ala kdb and Bruno, he's got that devastating final ball and more running power than MØ. I really think he goes boom next season. (remember this comment 😂)
He’s got it within him. MA bought him for a reason so I want him to be given game time. In house options. Maximise our assets before looking elsewhere. It’s the best LT as well if you are looking to the future. If MO is blocking him atm, I want ti see him more vs particular oppos as a high left interior. Free roley too able to drop outside the block like Fulham (H) this season. Would work against specific sides.
@@harveygration I loved his performance vs Fulham
What’s happens if we sign sesko does that mean havertz goes back in the middle but he was doing so well at upfront
If I’m honest, I don’t actually think we are as big on Sesko as the reports are saying. What’s more, there are other priorities that lie ahead of him for me. If we signed a Sesko/Osimhem, Havertz would either play more of that LSS/top of the diamond but have a physical backboard to play off now (and someone, like Trossard who willingly vacates the centre), or he would become more a ‘tactical Swiss Army knife’. Again, depends on how much upside you think there is in that move. I personally think investing further back is the way to go, but if Arteta envisions his MF construction differently that frees up a swing at an attacker this summer. Let’s see.
i actually believe we can work with havertz. i want us to fix our progression, creating some adaptability to our squad, and create decent squad depth
I do too-love every bit of Kai and personally don’t think there is enough upside to go for a 100m CF upgrade. Instead, fortify the build up and fill the squad holes. But a lot depends on the market.
@@harveygration the midfield market is pretty good, douglas luis for 60 million, wharton is probably cheap, newcastle need to sell, barca might have to sell, etc. so i think we probably capitalize on the rich market and if it's true our ffp year ended in may 31, then we have a massive leg up in the race to sign someone we need and i hope we jump onto the chance
Victor, Eze, Fofana & Diamonde 🤔👀, perfect window?
Missing a true Rice replacement but very nice. Could wait another year on Diomande and bring in Onana instead.
harvey who do u think is the better player between saka and foden, the saka disrespect is getting silly now?
Both brilliant. Saka. The disrespect makes me sick.
Doué as Eze alternative for half the price?
If you are looking for a BTL carrier in the left interior! Probably depends on how our depth jn that position proceeds for whether we can afford his development time
@@harveygration in Mikel we trust! I think your assessment of balance in this transfer window is key….it is a moveable feast and we can’t really predict every move beforehand. I do like the look of some young generational talents though, like Neves and Doué.
You’ve opened my eyes to how Onana could work though, again within the ‘whole’ of other additional signings 👌
Is hyperbolic to say that Eze offers that the exact same quality as foden ? He could be our xfactor
It’s not, no. He’s an uncut superstar.
@@harveygration fofana & eze sort our progression issues for 80 mil. Seems like a no brainer
My best for midfield is Youssouf Fofana. Of all the potential midfielders, he's the one that ticks all the boxes for me, and the only one that seems ambidextrous.
He’s totally unique. Don’t think he can be the only MF signing though. Partner that with an Onana (IMO) and perfect.
harvey dont u agree phil foden is better creatively than saka, trent, bellingham and foden is also a better player than all of them?
😵💫
harvey, can we talk about how overrated foden is, people say he is better than saka and is the best english talent, what do u think of that?
I never like getting drawn into these debates, but I will always support Saka when he is faced with unacceptable and vile slander. Just speaking purely in terms of range of usage, Saka is the more valuable player. Foden can be made into one of the best free roler’s there has been, but will never have the tools of Bukayo.
I can easily answer this question. How will it go? Not great
Jesus will stay ❌
Zinchenko won't be sold this season ❌
Kiwior will go❌
Reiss nelson , smith Rowe + Eddie will go ✅
We won't buy any of these players we need -Diomande, Victor Gyokeres, Guirameres, Kudus, Eze, olise❌
Fabio will be sold❌
Our bench will be thin AGAIN and the first team will be struck with constant injuries because Arteta doesn't trust the bench.
I like your approach but disagree with a lot of the takes in this video
Which ones and why? :)
@@harveygration actually all four of the points
1. I don’t Frenkie de Jong or Eduardo Camavinga will either be available or want to join us. Joao Neves is a possibility but I’m unsure if we commit €120m there that’s certainly a better move over keeping Partey another season in hope someone better becomes available next year.
2. Alphonso Davies is only leaving Bayern for Real Madrid. Otherwise I don’t think we will go for an overlapping fullback, it feels very much a luxury.
3. I don’t think “moments in attack” is a sustainable way of playing or is it a speciality that can be recruited over what we have (Saka/ Martinelli) or that it could mean we are looking to change that approach in our system (aside from hoping we convert our chances and score more goals obviously)
4. William Saliba cover is Tomiyasu/ White/ Rice even in a scenario where we sign Onana imo, and Declan Rice cover doesn’t need to be Onana, if there is a different profile once better eg Zubimendi (if he does change his mind) then that should be the move!
harvey am a liverpool fan, arent you worried rice is an average passer and also too hyped as a 6, he passes sideways and backwards, arteta stopped playing him as a 6, because of his poor passing?
Couple of things here:
That wasn’t the reason for the move to 8; Rice will be the 6 sooner or later for us again.
His on-ball stuff is really, really good. Not just in terms of circulation, but progression too. He’s never going to be Rodri (because no one else on the planet is from deep at the minute) and is already an insane defender and carrier. People ask too much😂!! Don’t really know what else to say other than Rice is a very good passer. Let him dictate the rhythm from deep and give him Øde/LCM/TImber in/around him and he won’t look out of place.
He's only afraid of taking risks!
I want Onana in midfield. Saliba-Gabriel-Rice-Onana would be disaster for opposition attackers
Tough day at the office 😭😂
@@harveygrationWho is the second goalkeeper? I know Bijlow but can't recognize second one
Interesting how people still drag Xhaka's name through the mud even after he's was Bundesliga trophy unbeaten.
Dude, please stop pushing the Osimhen narrative. 130 mil for an injury prone striker that has scored more than 15 goals in Italy once in his entire career. Please, get a reality check.
